Ohio Valley Wrestling Taping Results for 3/23/11 *SPOILERS* courtesy Trent Van Drisse and PWInsider.com. As always don't scroll down if you don't want to know.

Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Kenny Bolin were the TV announcers. Ron Hed and Brittany DeVore were the ring announcers. DeVore also handled several backstage interviews tonight. No Jim Cornette in sight for the second straight week. They will have a show at the Davis arena this Saturday, then the following Saturday, April 2nd, will be the next Saturday Night Special.

1. Asher Knight beat Benjamin Bray

Dark match. Knight was signed to the WWE for awhile, but was released from that contract while at FCW last fall. Bray snapped Knight's neck on the ropes while Knight was on the apron, then clotheslined him off the apron. Bray later hit a sloppy swinging neckbreaker, and Knight was still holding his neck after the match, may have just been selling. For a guy who had a WWE developmental deal, Knight's offense didn't look good here. Pretty blah. Knight came back with a neckbreaker of his own, but missed a crossbody off the top. Bray appeared to be going for a Pedigree, but Knight countered it with a Diamond Cutter and got the win. Not an especially good match.

2. Rocco Bellagio w/Prince Bolin beat Mitch Johnson

Also a dark match. This one was over with quick. Bellagio hit a big spinebuster, then got the win with a Powerbomb.

3. James "Moose" Thomas w/Prince Bolin, Mo Green & The Paparazzi guy beat "Lowrider" Matt Barela

This was the start of the TV taping. Barela has been appearing lately in TNA as "Estavo", but was back in OVW for now. I highly doubt he's actually under TNA contract yet, just working on a per night basis there for now I'd strongly suspect. Barela was wearing a new black and silver singlet that looked great. The Paparazzi guy is now carrying a clipboard and taking notes, instead of taking pictures. Back and forth match early. Thomas hit a running charge to the corner, but missed a weak attempt at a Vader bomb. Thomas missed another charge to the corner, and Barela beat on him in the corner. Barela then landed a Stinger splash in the opposite corner, and knocked the Paparazzi guy off the apron. Rocco Bellagio, however, came out and distracted Barela, allowing Thomas to hit his "Moose kick" and get the win. Not a long match, but good action while it lasted.

Brittany DeVore conducted a backstage interview with the Elite(Ted McNaler & Adam Revolver). The Elite said they would finally be back in the main event of the show tonight. It was revealed the TV main event tonight would be a six man tag of The Elite & Mohammad Ali Vaez vs Rudy Switchblade, Jamin Olivencia & Jason Wayne.

DeVore then did a backstage interview with "Lowrider" Matt Barela, who said this was the third time Rocco Bellagio has stuck his nose in his business. Barela demanded to wrestle Bellagio at the April 2nd Saturday Night Special.

Gilbert Corsey got in the ring, and out came the Blossom Twins, Holly & Hannah. The Blossoms said they were thrilled to be back in OVW after 90 days, after losing a loser leave town match to Lady JoJo & Taryn Shay in December. Corsey asked the Blossoms what their plans are now. The Blossoms said JoJo & Shay are going to find out it "Takes more than one bite to finish off these cupcakes".

Out came Lady JoJo and Taryn Shay, wearing matching tops. The Blossoms always dress alike. JoJo said when the Blossoms lost the loser leave town match, nothing was said about it being for 90 days. She said her and Shay were winners, and the Blossoms were losers, and kept repeating that. A fan comically yelled out for JoJo to spell it. JoJo challenged The Blossoms to a match at the April 2nd Saturday Night Special, and said if the Blossoms win that, they won't contest them being back on the OVW roster. The Blossoms accepted the match. JoJo, the heel, was correct. When the Blossom's lost the match back in December, nothing was said about it being for only 90 days, it was handled then like it was a long term deal. Except for the funny fan comment, the crowd was dead during this segment.

4."Smooth" Johnny Spade beat Lennox Lightfoot

The energetic and aggressive Spade wasted no time, hit a steamroller from the apron into the ring on Lightfoot early. Spade with big chops. Lightfoot hit Spade with a nice running kick. Spade came back with an enziguri, followed by a flurry of offense. Lennox used the ropes as a springboard off the top, but Spade nailed him with a superkick for his trouble. Spade then won it with a Swanton, but didn't make much contact with it.

Brittany DeVore did a backstage interview with Mohammad Ali Vaez. DeVore talked about Rudy Switchblade winning the OVW TV title from Vaez, and then Vaez losing $2,500 of his fathers' money, and his $11,000 Rolex watch to Switchblade in failed attempts to win the TV title back. And now on April 2nd Vaez will put his hair on the line against Switchblade to try to win back the title, what's left of the money, and the Rolex.

Vaez said a smart businessman should be prepared to take a loss, if it leads to a greater financial good. Vaez said he will not lose his hair on April 2nd, and tonight the Elite has his back in the six man tag main event.

Gilbert Corsey got in the ring again, and out came Paredyse, who had a sad boo boo face, and now just an empty pink scrapbook since he can no longer team up with Ryan Nemeth because he and Nemeth lost to Fighting Spirit(Raphael Constantine & Christopher Silvio) last week. Paredyse, on the verge of tears, said he lost his bosom buddy, his "Ri Ri", or however it's spelled. Paredyse said he can still see Nemeth's smile, and remember his wit, and it only seems like it was six days ago. Paredyse said he has to realize he's gone from "here", meaning OVW, but said he's not gone from "here", pointing to his head, his heart, and then his crotch, where he produced a sheet of paper with pics of he and Nemeth on it.

Paredyse said everyone is asking him where will he go from here. He said he had three words to answer that question, WWE: We Will Endure.....Paredyse said as part of the healing process he put together a farewell video, which they played. It was several shots of he and Nemeth, as the song "How am I supposed to live without you" played. Funny stuff. The final shot was Nemeth and Paredyse walking away with their arms around each others shoulders. The crowd popped at the end of the video.

At this point, out came Fighting Spirit. Raphael Constantine was spraying himself in the face with a water bottle, feigning tears. Both members of Fighting Spirit ran down Paredyse big time on the mic. They called Paredyse pathetic. Fighting Spirt said they tried to make a man out of Paredyse. They said the team of Nemeth and Paredyse was a sham, and they did Nemeth a favor. Paredyse was getting angrier, but did nothing about this abuse. Fighting Spirit challenged him to do something about it, as they heaped more and more verbal abuse on him. It finally got physical, with Paredyse getting away to the floor and claiming he will get his revenge. The stuff with Fighting Spirit went on too long, but the Paredyse stuff before that was very entertaining. Of course, in reality Ryan Nemeth was signed for the WWE, and is now gone from OVW so it appears.

Brittany DeVore did a backstage interview with Rudy Switchblade, Jamin Olivencia and Jason Wayne. Switchblade said he had the OVW TV title, Mohammad Ali Vaez' fathers money, and his Rolex, and on April 2nd he will have his hair. Olivencia will be in Switchblade's corner that night. Olivencia said he hasn't forgotten his past feud with Vaez. Actually, my prediction is Olivencia will turn on Switchblade on April 2nd.

5. Rudy Switchblade, Jamin Olivencia & Jason Wayne beat The Elite(Ted McNaler & Adam Revolver) & Mohammad Ali Vaez w/Mr B in a six man tag

This was the TV main event. Switchblade came out with a scissors. Lots of stalling at the start of this one. Vaez was avoiding Switchblade at all costs, part of this match was a track meet with Switchblade chasing Vaez around. Olivencia hit a wicked looking running body block to the corner on McNaler. Amid much confusion, Jason Wayne had his knee clipped from behind, and he then took the heat with all the heels working on his left leg. Switchblade got the hot tag and made both of the Elite look foolish. Mr. B though grabbed the foot of Switchblade, and Vaez finally attacked him, and got a very near fall on Switchblade as B held his legs down, but Switchblade somehow managed to kick out. Olivencia knocked the living crap out of Mr. B on the outside. As everyone else was brawling on the outside, in the ring Switchblade rolled Vaez up for the win.

The postmatch saw Switchblade get the scissors, and cut off a little snippet of Vaez' hair, which got a big pop. Weird crowd tonight, big pops at times, but they were totally dead at other times tonight. Not much in the middle far as reactions went. This match wasn't bad and had its moments, but I was expecting a lot more out of it, never really got into high gear.

6. Raul Lamotta beat Randy Terrez

Dark match, and quite a blah one at that. Terrez tried somewhat, but Lamotta was his usual lazy self in there. They did a long Greco Roman knuckle spot, it was that type of a match. Terrez did a twisting flip onto Lamotta from the apron, and later hit his firemans carry into a somersault with a guy on his shoulders move. Terrez went for a sunset flip, but Lamotta reversed it to get the win. A yawner.

A whole lot of talking on this show tonight, with hit and miss results. Send any feedback to tvd65@hotmail.com.
