Tonight is Strikeforce Challengers 19: Larkin vs Rossborough LIVE on Showtime tonight at 11pm Eastern. On tonight's card we have Brian Melancon vs Felipe Portela, Jason High vs Todd Moore, Lavar Johnson vs Shawn Jordan, Ryan Couture vs Maka Watson and in the main event Lorenz Larkin vs Nick Rossborough. We will be recapping tonight's show live so feel free to hit F5 or refresh at the top of the page as often as you like for updates.

It's 11pm and we are LIVE! Strikeforce Challengers 19 will take place in the beautiful Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have an action packed card for tonight's show highlighted by the Light Heavyweight Main Event bout between Lorenz Larkin and Nick Rossborough!

Brian Melancon (5-2) vs Felipe Portela (7-0)

Portela enters first and is fighting out of Brasilia, Brazil in the red trunks. Melancon is fighting out of Houston, Texas and is in the black trunks. Our ref in charge of this fight is Kim Winslow. And here we go! Melancon comes out strong with a nice swift combination backing Portella up into cage and puts a jab through the guard. Portela counters with an overhead right. Portela hits a low outside kick and another one to the inside. Melancon hits a punch-kick combination of his own. Portela tries for a middle kick but Melancon counters with another combination. Melancon shoots in for a single leg takedown but Portela backs into the cage. Melancon works for the take down and gets it! Portela back up as Melancon tries for the back but Portela gets him against the cage. Melancon shoots in with a combination attempt but get a leg kick from Portela that stumbles him. Melancon ends up with a take down in the final 12 seconds of the round but has no time to work as the horn sounds!

Round 2: Melancon comes out swinging but gets a straight right counter from Portela for his trouble. An inadvertant low blow sends us into a 20 second break and Melancon is ok and ready to go. Portela comes with a big kick-right hook combo but Melancon hits a jab inside the guard again. Melancon shoots in for a single leg takedown but Portela shoves it away. Both men in the clinch on the cage with Portela hitting a couple knees before they break apart. Melancon gets a good low leg kick. Porteall shoots for a takedown, stuffed for a few seconds but Portela gets him on his butt. Melancon quickly to a sitting position, a body shot that was close to being an illegal head knee to a downed opponent that has the ref stop them briefly and restart them from the same position. Melancon hits a huge left hook that knocks Portela down but he doesn't have the time to finish and we will get round 3!

Round 3: Both men trading leg kicks in the center of the ring. Melancon comes in with a nice uppercut but Portela comes back with a nice right of his own. A left shot to the body stings Portela. Portela hits a ncie left shot to the body followed by a big head kick. This is becoming a slugfest! Melancon shoots for and gets a takedown but Portela gets to the cage. Melancon is putting the pressure on Portela's lower body but both men are back up as we enter the final minute and a half. Portela comes in with a big combination and hits a nice knee in the collar tie. Melancon hits another take down! Knee from Portela as both men stand and Portela shoots for a takedown in the final seconds and we are going to the judges scorecards!

Here's Adam Gibbs with the official decision. The judges score the bout 28-29, 28-29, 27-30 you winner is Brian Melancon! Melancon ends Portela's undefeated streak!

Jason High (15-3) vs Todd Moore (15-4)

Todd Moore is fighting out of Spring, Texas and is in the white trunks. Jason High is fighting out of Kansas City, Missouri and is in the white and red trunks. Our ref in charge of this contest is Steve Mazzagatti. And here we go! High hits a nice mid kick followed by a left hook. High catches Moore with a right and gets a big take down lifting Moore up and dropping him. High immediately goes for an arm triangle. High is working some punches into Moore and is working from the top in half guard. Moore is active on the bottom but can't reverse the position. High keeps looking for a choke out but can't quite lock it in even after posturing up. High has passed from the butterflu into the mount as Moore is flat on his back. High hits a slashing elbow from high in the top position.

Round 2: Out from the break Moore hits a big low blow that is very audible. Break lasts about 25 seconds and we are back in. Moore goes for a combination but High shoots back with a takedown and gets it. High continues to work from the top trying and rains in shots. Moore reverses and gets a take down on High reversing the position! High escapes through the backdoor and gets Moore back on the ground. High still looks for the arm triangle and is working from Moore's half guard. Moore gets into full guard and throws a flurry of punches. The round ends with High on top of Moore again and we'll see you in round 3!

Round 3: Coming right out the gate High gets a takedown quickly and throws a big elbow and hits a few hard shots as well. Moore has a big cut on the back of his head and it is just flowing out as High keeps working from the top. High works for a guillitine but Moore slips out of the attempt. The fans are beginning to boo as they become restless with the little work from on the ground. High continues to just hold position instead of looking for a submission as we enter the final 60 seconds. High postures up and hits a few shots. We are heading to the score cards with more boos coming in.

Into the cage we go with Adam Gibbs witht he official decision. All three judges score this fight 30-27 and winner by Unanimous Decision Todd "Maniaaaac" M..Ooh. No sorry that's not right...Jason "The Kansas City Bandit" High! Huge botch by Adam Gibbs!!

Ryan Couture (2-1) vs Maka Watson (4-1)

Watson is fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada and is in the white trunks. Couture is also fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada and is in the white and black trunks. Our ref in charge of the action, Chris Tognoni. And we are underway. Couture immediately goes for a takedown and takes Watson's back while standing and has a body lock as he rains punches onto Watson. Couture pulls Watson to the ground and gets the hooks in. Couture gets into corner mount and goes for an arm triangle choke. Watson able to escape the submission there but Couture goes right back into a rear naked choke attempt. Watson tries to posture up and pull out of there but Couture pulls him right back down as we enter the final minute. Watson pulls out of it and reverses landing a couple shots down on Couture. Couture pulls Watson into butterfly hold. Couture has a nasty gash on his forehead as the round ends.

Round 2: Watson misses with a left and Couture capitalizes and drops Watson with a takedown. Couture looks to take Watson's back and gets it but still cant get the rear naked choke he's been looking for. Watson continues to have good wrist control on Couture and is ok for now. Couture goes for full mount looking for an arm triangle but Watson rolls out of it giving up his back again to Couture. Couture steps over and gets into full mount again. Watson gets out and is throwing some heavy shots down onto Couture. Couture is busted open again and Watson is throwing the heavy shots. But Couture survives and we are going to the 3rd and final round!

Round 3: Watson hits a leg kick and shoots for a take down and gets it. Raining down a few shots. Couture gets up and Watson gets a nice sweep knocking Couture down again. Watson with the axe kick from standing. Couture sweeps Watson out and takes full mount before passing to the back of Watson. Couture is looking for that rear naked choke. Couture is hitting some nice shots to the body and the side of the head from the quarter mount. Couture is opening up some ground and pound after posturing up to the high mount. Couture hits a nice elbow as we go into the final minute and a half. Couture is shelling out BOMBS as Watson just tries to defend himself. Couture has the back again looking for the rear naked choke. Couture hits a series of elbows to the side of the head blocked by Watson. Final 30 seconds. Couture once again goes for the arm triangle. And we are going to the scorecards!

Back to the cage with Adam "I read the card wrong" Gibbs and the judges scores. The judges score the fight 28-28, 29-28 and 29-28 and the winner by Majority Decision... RYAN COUTURE!

Lavar Johnson (15-4) vs Shawn Jordan (10-3)

Johnson is fighting out of Fresno, California and is in the white trunks. Jordan is fighting out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is in the black trunks. Our ref in charge of the fight is Kim Winslow. And we are underway! Jordan hits a poke in the eye to Johnson and Johnson fires back with an upercut and takedown shot in anger! Johnson is pinned up against the fence and Jordan has him in the Cruifix from the side. Johnson is beginning to swell under the eye. Time has been called by the ref to have the doctor check out the big swell under the eye. The fighters are stood up following the break Johnson hits a big knee coming out of it. Jordan hits a strong shot and both fighters are in the clinch Johnson hits a knee and an uppercut to break. Johnson has a guillitine hold but Jordan lifts him up and gets a big takedown though Johnson still holds the Guillitine and Jordan can not get anything out of it before the horns.

Round 2: Johnson catches Jordan with a big 1-2 combination. Jordan hits a big shot to the right of Johnson's head. Johnson shoots in for a combo and hits a bit knee as he shoots in and Jordan scoops up Johnson for a big takedown. Jordan is working from Half guard but neither man is doing much work at this time. Johnson hits a few body shots to try to ease out of the hold. AND IT IS ALL OVER! Jordan gets Johnson to tap out with a key lock! WOW!~! Winner by submission at 3:08 of Round 2...Shawn "Savage" Jordan!

Lorenz Larkin (11-0) vs Nick Rossborough (20-13)

Rossborough is fighting out of Salt Lake City, Utah and is in the black trunks. Larkin is fighting out of Riverside, California and is in the pink trunks trimmed in black. Our ref in charge of our Main Event is Steve Mazzagatti. And Here We Go! Larkin comes out with a leg kick that almost stumbles Rossborough. Rossborough comes out with a big swarm of punches but Larkin able to sidestep and escape the flurry. Larkin hits a jumping kick and avoids Rossborough's uppercut. Rossborough attempts to throw some knees but they are countered by Larkin and Larkin reverses to gain position in the clinch. Larkin hitting a few knees to the thighs. Larkin hitting body shots and knee shots while Rossborough hits some big shots to the head. Larkin hits a slashing elbow before breaking off from the clinch. Larkin eats a Rossborough elbow strike but larkin shoots back with a knee and uppercut. Larkin chopping some heel strikes to the calf muscle. Rossborough looking for a takedown but not getting it. Both men tee off in the final 10 seconds and we'll get round 2!

Round 2: Larkin comes out with some more leg kicks to the leading leg of Rossborough. Rossborough shoots forward with a lot of combinations but very few landing. Larkin goes in and hits a knee but eats a big shot from Rossborough. Larkin takes a punishing elbow combination from Rossborough before spinning out and reversing position on the cage. Ref breaks it up and both men are back to center. Larkin lunges in and hits a knee followed with a right. Larkin hits a few body shots and follows with a big kick to Rossborough's leading leg. Lots of dirty boxing on the cage and Larkin hits a few big knees to the back of Rossborough's legs as the round ends.

Round 3: Third and final round is underway! Rossborough comes out swinging as is easily pushing the pace. Larkin hits a HUGE knee to the body sending Rossborough to the ground! Larkin swarms and attempts to finish but Rossborough holds on and Larkin allows him to recover and get up to his feet. Larkin goes for a guilitine mommentarily but gives up and just hits some big shots from top position wanting to posture up. Larkin is delivering some punishing short elbows. Rossborough is trying to cage walk to escape the ground but Larkin is still delievering some Nasty short elbows and Rossborough is cut open badly. Larkin doing a good job controlling the ground as we get to the final 15 seconds. This fight is going to the judges scorecards! What a fight! Rossborough is a BLOODY mess! WOW!~!

Back to the cage for the final time tonight with Adam Gibbs. The judges score the bout 30-27, 29-28, 30-27 and the winner by Unanimous Decision... LORENZ "THE MONSOON" LARKIN! Great fight to end tonight's show!
