Rock powers back up, pushes him off then punches him in the face. Cena wiggles away from a Sharpshooter and leaves the ring to loud boos. Rock kicks him on his way in, Cena shoves him into the turnbuckle and drives his shoulder in Rock's midsection twice. Cena measures up and takes him out with a hard clothesline for 2 then puts him in a waistlock. They trade blows and Cena lowers the ropes sending Rock to the floor. Cena drops him on top of the barricade and on the announce table then throws him back in the ring for a 2-count.

Cena lays him out with a big right hand and stomps on his ribs. He delivers a belly-to-belly suplex for another 2-count. He waits for Rock to get up, Rock battles back, then Cena applies a bearhug. Rock drags Cena to the center, applies the Sharpshooter again, and again Cena makes it to the ropes. Rock punches Cena as he hangs off the ring apron and Cena falls out. Rock whips him into the steel steps and rolls in the ring to break the ref's count. He bounces Cena's face off the steps, rolls in the ring, Cena does a sunset flip from the apron and locks in the STF! The Rock is now the one who tries to crawl to the ropes, but Cena pulls him back into the center of the ring and puts him back in the submission hold. Rock is starting to fade, passes out, the ref checks his arm, drops once, twice, but Rock musters up strength to avoid the third drop and makes it to the ropes!
