News Bits/Rumors:

*SHINE Wrestling has added more matches for their SHINE 1 IPPV on July 20, 2012. Mercedes Martinez vs. Leva Bates and Christina Von Eerie vs. Cherry Bomb. Already announced for the card previously, Reby Sky vs. Jayme Jameson, Santana Garrett vs. Tina San Antonio, Veda Scott vs. Kimberly, Tracy Taylor & Su Yung vs. Allysin Kay & Taylor Made, Nikki Roxx vs. Rain and  "The Queen of Wrestling" Sara Del Rey vs. Jazz in the main event. SHINEWrestling.com has officially been launched and remember you can order the IPPV at WWNLive.com. Former WCW star and TNA Knockout Daffney has been announced as the live event hostess. EVOLVE and Dragon Gate USA's Lenny Leonard will debut as play-by-play commentator at the event as well.

*Independent Women's Internet Wrestling is holding an eight-woman tournament to crown their first Independent Women’s Internet Wrestling Champion on July 22, 2012. The participants in the tournament are Cherry Bomb, "The Dutchess" Leah Von Dutch, Women Superstars Uncensored Tag Team Champions Sassy Stephie and Allysin Kay and WSU Champion Jessicka Havok.

*Mercedes Martinez cleared up the rumor of an apparent try-out with WWE. Over the weekend, a rumor broke lose that Mercedes and former SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey has received try-outs with the WWE. The former WSU Championput the rumor to rest telling Diva Dirt that “As far as any rumors to a WWE tryout or even getting signed, those rumors are false.” Mercedes might not have received a try-out but Sara Del Rey was indeed offered a contract from the company.

*Nicole Garcia(Nikki Bella) has admitted to brest enhancement surgery, speculation came about due to recent pictures of the former WWE Divas Champion with an enlarged chest. Nikki admitted to going under the knife via Twitter: "Love how "Nikki's" my boobs are trending worldwide! Ha what can I say... I wanted my own set of #TwinMagic ;) haha Besos!" The Garcias are scheduled to do work with the NFL network, recently starring in a Celebrity Sweat motivational workout video with NFL star Desean Jackson and MTV's Ridiculousness in the coming months.

*This weekend New England Championship Wrestling presents "Red, White & Bruised." In a World Women's Wrestling feature match, the woman who proclaims herself as the uncrowned WWW Champion Adrianna will be taking on the young Mercedes KV.

*Here's a video package hyping the arrival of the "Ultra Diva" Raquel Diaz on NXT next week. The former FCW Divas Champion says she on a tour, the Exfoliating Ugliness Tour. The character of Raquel stands out from the current WWE Divas, but this Exfoliating Ugliness Tour....I've seen this gimmick already in TNA with The Beautiful People "Cleansing the world, one ugly person at a time."

*In an update on Io Shirai, Io and her former boyfriend NOSAWA Rongai's apparent drug smuggling case has taken a sudden twist. It turns out that NOSAWA and Shirai were indeed innocent, as fellow wrestlers Masahiro Hayashi and SUGI have admitted to setting up both Shirai and Rongai by planting the drugs in their belongings. Their conscience must have gotten to them for them to admit their wrong doing, but the fact that they were willing to destroy the careers of two people in the process of saving their own ass, some people just amaze me i tell you.

*"First Lady of Ring of Honor" Maria Kanellis is set to challenge TNA Knockout and current Family Wrestling Entertainment Women’s Champion Winter on July 28th for the championship. Kanellis was the promotions first Women's Champion and hopes to regain the championship she lost to Winter a few months back.

*Former TNA Knockout Angel Williams and Velvet Sky have been announced for Northeast Wrestling's event on September 22nd.

*Bravo is in the works to add a Real Housewives of Nashville to their growing Real Housewives franchise. The television network's Real Housewives has been a major success, with versions based in New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Washington D.C and Miami and looks to branch out across that United States. TNA President Dixie Carter is highly considered to star on the new show, in which she should. Being a woman with her own business, Dixie is a bit of a local celebrity and this could be good exposure for not only her but TNA as a whole. "From the Producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County comes a NEW Nashville based docu-series for a major cable network! If you or someone you know is a successful, powerful WOMAN, single or married, with an outstanding personality, who frequents the Nashville social scene-we would love to hear from them! Entrepreneurs, Power Couples, CEOs, Wives of Music Execs and Sports Players etc etc-Please encourage anyone you know who considers themselves part of Nashville's Elite, to apply now. Referrals are certainly welcomed!" TNA Knockouts Champion Miss Tessmacher is profiled in a Hooters video. The Houston, Texas natvie defended her championship against former champion Gail Kim on Impact Wrestling this week.

After a decent hard fought battle, Tessmacher's hand was once again raised at the end of the match. At this rate Tessmacher needs a new challenger to her title, defeating Gail Kim over and over has helped cement her role as a dominant champion. Madison Rayne revealed her secret crush last week on Impact Wrestling to be senior official Earl Hebner. I might come as a shock but if you think back a few years, Madison's affection for referees all started when Madison swooned Slick Johnson to help her Beautiful People stable win a tag team match, it backfired instead. A few months back, Earl Hebner planted one on Madison during a match with Tara, this has continued on house shows also. I'm guessing after having a wet one planted on her a few times Madison had no choice but to fall head over heels.

*Anarchy Championship Wrestling has added more matches to their "From Innocence to Insanity 6" card. Along with the previously announced Lady Poison versus Rachel Summerlyn match, SHIMMER Tag Team Champion Portia Perez, Lillie Mae, American Joshi Queen of Queens 2012 winner "The Wrestling Goddess" Athena and ACW American Joshi Champion Angel Blue will square off in a four-way match.

*Over in Diva Land, WWE.com published an interview with world famous softball pitcher Jennie Finch, the two-time Olympic medalist and Women's College World Champion talked about watching WWE growing up and her strategy if she was to face the WWE Divas Champion on the grandest stage of them all. It's our biggest event of the year, WrestleMania XXIX at MetLife Stadium. There's a record crowd chanting"Jennie! Jennie! Jennie!" while you are going one-on-one with our Divas Champion. What do you do to win and net the butterfly-emblazoned title?: "Train hard, mentally prepare to dominate. I would love to jump into the ring from one of the corners!" Jennie also says that haer finisher would be called the Backwards K. WWE and Mattel unveiled several new WWE Diva action figures at the San Diego, California Comic Con. WWE Divas Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly, "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix, WWE Divas Champion Layla, AJ and joining the WWE Legends line of figures Miss Elizabeth. WWE Diva Natalya is the latest guest on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling Podcast. Her frustrations with not being on TV: "Just because you're not the Diva's Champion that day, or just because you're not on TV that week, or just because you lose a match people get so worked up about it. It's all very cyclical, that's what I've come to realize. Especially for women in the business, it's very very cyclical You can't be on top forever." While Natalya was trying to convince everyone that she is not frustrated, the producers of Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush are said to be interested in having Kelly Kelly appear on the upcoming episode, Kelly Kelly found the news out on Twitter and said she would be honored. WWE held more NXT tapings at Full Sail University this week. Third generation Diva Raquel Diaz debuted. Audrey Marie and current FCW Divas Champion Caylee Turner also appeared. WE WANT KHARMA!....After months and months of anticipation, counting down the days, the minutes, the seconds and having high hopes that WWE doesnt blow this in the end, Kharma, Kia Stevens has been released from the company. Thursday afternoon, Kharma has posted via Twitter: “Getting a flood of dm’s. I guess the cat’s out of the bag. Yes. I have been officially promoted to the alumni section of the WWE roster.” Kharma has been teasing her return on a number of occasions recently, even posting picture of her on Twitter showing her working out with her trainer for her return. While the dirtsheets speculated on the story, TMZ jumped right on it. Ryan Satin of TMZ, took to his Twitter to break the news writing: "A source close to Kharma tells me the rumors are true and she was indeed released from WWE today. Dumbest WWE release in SOOO LONG!!!" During this time Kharma's profile was moved back to the Superstars section of WWE.com, leading many to believe that the crew at WWE.com had a mishap and moved her by accident. Later in the night, Dave Meltzer revealed that Kharma was indeed slated to be released the next day, but because the news leaked to the internet, WWE possibly wanted to save face and keep her on the roster. The ironic thing is the entire day I did not see no mention Kharma or any rumors of her release on the internet, until she posted those comments on Twitter. Kia Stevens, better known as Awesome Kong in TNA and Amazing Kong on the independent scene joined the WWE in 2011, debuting at their Extreme Rules PPV giving an Implant Buster to the now retired WWE Diva Michelle McCool. Before Kharma's dominance on the entire WWE Divas division began, Kharma bowed out of the WWE due to pregnacy. Returning as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, Kharma's return gave people the impression that she had given birth to her child, but was later was revealed that she had a miscarrage. At this year's Extreme Rules, rumors were abound that Kharma was making her long awaited return to face Nikki Bella for the WWE Divas Championship, the last time Kharma was seen on WWE TV she promised that when she returned that the Bellas were on her checklist - this high hope of making a storyline come full circle was let down as Layla participated in the match instead. As months went on, word got out that the reason we are not seeing Kharma is because well "WWE Creative has nothing for her." Despite being ready to make her long overdue return, Kharma was never penciled in, leading many especially the WWE Divas to be frustrated about this. At this time Kharma is still listed on the WWE roster, making her status unclear.
