News Bits/Rumors:

►It was student versus teacher at TNA's "No Surrender" PPV on Sunday. Miss Tessmacher defied odds and retained her Knockouts Championship against best friend and mentor Tara. This match up came about two weeks back on Impact Wrestling when the champion issued an open challenge to Tara as apart of Open Fight Night. Tara defeated Tessmacher in a non title contest with a top rope superplex for the three. Executive of the Knockouts Brooke Hogan requested that the match take place again at the PPV, this time with the championship on the line. Tessmacher had stated that she issused an open challenge to Tara, because she needed to know that she can truly beat her. The person that took her under her wings and nutured her craft and taught her everything she knows and used the knowledge that was provided to her to win her Knockouts Championship, Tessmacher just needed to know. Tessmacher voiced these sentiments in a backstage interview with Jeremy Borash before her match. The match simply started out with simple cat and mouse game, anything you can do I can do better. Countering each other's arm drags, headlocks, irish whips and headlock takeovers, the pace that started out slow started to pick up. After countering a roll up attempt by Tessmacher into her own, Tara waited in the ring while Tessmacher was on the outside catching her breath. Tara offers to hold the rops open for Tessmacher and doing so she attempts to get the upper hand on the champion, which angered Tessmacher. "This is a championship match!," Tara says as she reminds Tessmacher that their friendship is out the door when it comes to the title. Tessmacher realizes that Tara is not to taken lightly. Tessmacher managed to get some good offense while Tara scored the Sidewalk Slam with a two count. The match ends with Tara setting Tessmacher up for the Widow's Peak with Tessmacher reversing the hold into a roll up for the win. Tara leaves the ring without shaking Tessmacher's hand, this looks to be a friendship that is over. Tara took on former Knockouts Champion Gail Kim on Impact Wrestling. Just as their many encounters in the past, this match was one the best.

Gail Kim and Tara(Lisa Marie Varon) have always worked well together going back to their days in the WWE. Referee Taryn Terell has gained a nickname thanks to Tazz, "Hotter than Hell." If you been keeping track at home, the Knockouts have been dwindling down as in appearance wise on TV. Mickie James has not been seen on TV for a few weeks now, she recently had a birthday bash in August and even performed. Rosita has been busy modeling, acting and wrestling for many promotions as of late. Velvet Sky, Angelina Love and Winter are officially gone from the company. ODB and Eric Young have yet to defend their championship. And Sarita is busy dealing with her woes with CMLL and competing in Japan at the same time. That leaves Miss Tessmacher, Tara, Gail Kim and Madison Rayne, the only set of Knockouts we are conditioned to see week in and week out for the past couple of months. New TNA Knockout Taeler Hendrix has yet to debut on Impact Wrestling, the current OVW Women's Champion has not been seen since her Gut Check when she scored a contract.

►"Amazon" Ayesha Ray has been added to the PWWA event on October 6th. Standing at 6'0," Amazon has been wrestling for a couple of years now. Amazon recently faced Alpha Female for the Pro Wrestling: EVE Championship and forged a partnership with Rhia O'Reilly. Evie will defend her PWWA Interim Championship at the same event. The current PWWA Interim Champion and Impact Pro Wrestling New Zealand Women's Champion has fans begging Dave Prazak on the SHIMMER forums for debut in the promotion soon. Evie is set to defend her IPWNZ Women's Championship at IPW's "Fallout" on September 29th against Britney. Nikita Naridian(Kellyanne English) is heading over to Mexico to train in AAA. Naridian broke the news exclusively to NHBGirls.com,  “I would like to thank Teddy Hart and Konnan for the opportunity!”

►Saturyne versus Ophidian has been added to night three of CHIKARA's "King of Trios."

►One-half of the SHIMMER Tag Team Champions, Nicole Matthews has been added to AAW's event on October 26th, the night before the SHIMMER tapings.

►In Joshi Puroresu news, as I reported last week, Stardom held a press conference last week announcing their biggest show to date at the Ryogoku in 2013. Hiroshi Ogawa, owner of Stardom, is said to be considering in bringing in Olympic wrestler, Kyoko Hamaguchi. Kyoko Hamagushi is the daughter of legendary Japanese pro wrestler Animal Hamaguchi. Her father has trained the likes of Nanae Takahasi, Tomoaki Honma, Sari as well as Kyoko. Kyoko is a five-time FILA Wrestling World Champion and a two-time Olympic bronze medal winner. Kyoko has longed to follow in her father's footsteps into the world of puroresu, but never quite made it. In 1994, Kyoko appeared at an All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling show, which attracted alot Japanese press. Pro Wrestling WAVE has started a tag team tournament with the winners getting a shot at the Pro Wrestling WAVE Tag Team Championship on November 27th. There are four teams in the tournament, Wrestling New Classic's Syuri and Shuu Shinutani, Misaki Ohata and REINAxWorld Tag Team Champion Tsukasa Fujimoto, Yumi Ohka and ICEx60 Champion Hikaru Shida and the current reigning WAVE Tag Team Champions Tomoka Nakagawa and GAMI, better known as Yoko Hatanaka. The tournament runs from September 25th through November 16th. The winners of the tournament will face the current champions the next week. On September 23rd, a wrestler will be making their debut for Ice Ribbon in a match against Hiroyo Matsumoto. Riho will team with Tsukasa Fujimoto on that show against mystery opponents. Four Joshis have been announced so far for the upcoming SHIMMER tapings on October 27th, former SMASH Divas Champion Kana, Ryo Mizunami, former SHIMMER Tag Team Champion Hiroyo Matsumoto and Tomoka Nakagawa will be making her return to the promotion. Trained by Taka Michinoku, Tomoka Nakagawa debuted in SHIMMER back in 2010 and went on to capture the SHIMMER Tag team Championship with Daizee Haze. Haze and Nakagawa would drop the titles to Ayako Hamada and Ayumi Kurihara last October and Haze would take a definite leave from wrestling. Nakagawa was last seen in SHIMMER picking up a big win over MsChif in a four-way match that included Kellie Skater and LuFisto. SHIMMER is said to be announcing another Joshi for the tapings sometime this week. Another match has been added to Joshi4Hope IV on October 7th, joining the already announced tag team match between Ryo Mizunami and Hiroyo Matsumoto versus Aya Yuki and Arisa Nakajima, current REINA-CMLL International Champion Leon will team up with Manami Katsu to take on Mika Iida and Ayumi Kurihara of Triple Tails.S. The card for the September 23rd Ice Ribbon show: Riho will wrestle her final match for the promotion against Aoi Kizuki. Tsukushi and Kurumi will defend their International Ribbon Tag Team Championship against Meari Naito and Cherry. Hamuko Hoshi and Maki Narumiya and another partner will face GAMI, Ryo Mizunami and Yumi Ohka of Pro Wrestling WAVE.  The Triangle Championship will be on the line as current champion Neko Nitta takes on Shuu Shibutani and Hailey Hatred. And Hikaru Shida will fight to retain her ICEx60 Championship against Mio Shirai. Command Bolshoi and Arisa Nakajima successfully retained their JWP and Daily Sports Tag Team Championshp against Ray and Leon over the weekend.

►SHIMMER and AAA star Rain celebrated a birthday over the weekend(September 8th).Happy Birthday!

►More matches have been added to the card for IndyGurlz "War of the Roses 3" on September 15th. Joining the already announced main event of Mia Yim versus "Super Hardcore Anime" LuFisto, SHIMMER/ SHINE Wrestling star Leva Bates will be taking on CZW's Kimber Lee. Former WSU Tag Team Champion Jana will be taking on Jessie Brooks. Sienna Duvall will face Cherry Lane, Sumie Sakai's opponent is yet to be announced. Mistress Belmont will face Aida Marie and in an IndyGurlz Grand Prix rematch, Amber O'Neal and Angel Orsini, better known as Fire and Ice will take on the team of Jessie Kaye and Kacee Carisle. April Hunter will not be able to attend the event due to personal conflict.

►Pro Wrestling: EVE's Nikki Storm will defend her W3L Women's Championship against Sara-Marie Taylor in the first ever ladies steel cage match at "Wrestlution" on Septmebr 21st.

►Tasha Simone retained her NWA World Women's Championship against Pandora on September 8th in a No Holds Barred/ Falls Count Anywhere match. Pandora fell victim to Simone's piledriver, or as Simone says the move she perfected. Congrats Tasha!

►Eve was feautured in US Weekly Magazine in their "Who Wore It Best" section, Eve went up against actress Denise Richards and TV personality LaLa Anthony and won. Kaitlyn tweeted about her upcoming Divas Championship match at Night of Champions, "2 years of Workin hard behind the scenes and flyin under the radar... It's MY time at #NOC. let's make this #NightOfKaitlyn @WWEUniverse." Kaitlyn also confirmed on Twitter that she does not have a Facebook or an Instagram so the accounts prompting themselves as her are fakes, block them while youre at it(safety tip), off subject former TNA Knockout Velvet Sky was alerted from a fan on Twitter about there being over sixty accounts on Facebook claiming to be her, Sky does not own a Facebook. On Superstars last week, WWE Divas Champion Layla faced Natalya in a non-title bout. Its becoming the norm for these two to face each other and its becoming rather tiring. Of course the two were involved in a Twitter beef that was between Kaitlyn and the third generation Diva, who decided to interject Layla and Eve in it as well. Since then Layla has stayed neutral to this mess, but this is not enough ammunition for these two Divas to constantly be each other's opponent on a regular basis. With the likes of Tamina Snuka, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Aksana or even to some of the NXT Divas, Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly are out dealing with personal matters so that leaves the Divas roster chopped down even more. Layla and Natalya have yet to have a match that was past decent, the past two encounters between the women have been awkward, not to mention the champion has been missing a step or two in all of her matches recently. The match was more than five minutes, but again I say, these two need to not be paired together anymore, its not working for either one. Layla picks up the win with the Bombshell. Lately Layla has been doing this spot in her matches of where she breaks out into dance, while the spot could be good to gain attention from fans, its been falling on deaf ears and blind eyes to the point where its either useless or awkward.

The WWE Divas division is in shambles, with all the Divas except for AJ Lee being shunned off TV for almost two months, WWE's recent push for fans to get excited about the WWE Divas Championship being on the line at NOC has garnered zero interest. Its not the Divas fault, its WWE. The Divas are heavily showcased on WWE's developmental show NXT, shockingly the crowd reacts to all the women and are invested in the matches. Speaking of NXT, last week  Paige took on Audrey Marie. The match itself was surprisingly short, abnormal for Divas matches on NXT to not be eight to ten minutes in length. For the first time on NXT, we finally get to witness Paige's finisher, the RamPaige. Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler attended the Stand Up 2 Cancer event over the weekend, she makes a t-shirt look fan-tabu-lous. Former NXT Diva Ivelisse Velez is said to be getting back into MMA, "So.. Might be returnin to da octogan after all.. Jus maYbe. #StayTuned #MMA."

Funkadactyl Cameron's future within the company is still in question, while its way too early to jump to conclusions that her fifteen day suspension is leading to her getting her walking papers from the WWE, Cameron has not been pulled from events in Australia, but her name has been removed from autographs signings with Brodus Clay. Maybe this is a tactic by WWE to shine anymore light on her incident, as there is way too much now. There is also rumors going around that her arrest could be the catapult to WWE officially bringing all the NXT talent up to Stamford. A few months back it was reported that WWE was shutting down Florida Championship Wrestling and moving the talent to Connecticuit, closer to the WWE offices for further evaluation. This turned out to be a mere rumor as FCW was rebranded to NXT Wrestling and the tapings were moved to Full Sail University. WWE is looking to ship talent to Connecticuit, away from the party scene down in Florida. The only problem with this is, over the years many of the NXT talent has been caught with DUIs down in Florida and WWE never thought of pulling this move, so to take this drastic measure to keep this type of news from getting out, its a little too late.

Stephanie McMahon-Levesque struted her stuff at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Stephanie graced the catwalk as apart of Strut: The Fashionable Momshow, tailored for the working mom. Stephanie joined the likes of Lisa Rinna and Wendy Williams. Stephanie, "You better WORK!"(in my RuPaul voice). On RAW, we had a six-Divas tag team match piting the WWE Divas Champion Layla, Eve and Kaitlyn against Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Alicia Fox. This match was not bad in quality, but the crowd did not respond to it at all unless you count the whistles and cat calls. The strange thing is Alicia Fox is on the heel's side. With the lack of heels in the Divas division I guess she had to make do, with the rumors of Tamina Snuka turning heel and joinging forces with Natalya a few weeks back, you would think WWE would pull the trigger on that and set Tamina as another force to be reckoned with. "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix returns after being absent due to a loss in her family. Beth Phoenix was being advertised to return to events on October 1st and was slated to return to RAW on October 22nd. Beth was pulled from the Australian tour and all events in September, but dont get your hopes up for the Glamazon Tour to return, Beth is apparently not listed for events again til December 28th. Eve picks up the win for her team with neckbreaker on Alicia Fox, we get the awkward Eve holding Layla and Kaitlyn's hands up in the air once again. From the looks of it, it looks to be leading to Eve interfering on Kaitlyn's behalf at Night of Champions or using her authority to either insert herself into the match as an opponent or special referee. This looks to the be the most possible route by WWE, since news broke last week that Eve was supposed to win the battle royal and not Kaitlyn. The match itself between Layla and Kaitlyn, looks to another underwhelming performance by the WWE Divas. Kaitlyn has had her share of great matches on NXT against Natalya, Tamina Sunka and the former Maxine, but Layla has not. Since capturing the WWE Divas Championship back in May, Layla's title defenses or lack there of and title reign has been by far the worst in the history of the championship. WWE took a huge risk of making Nikki Bella(who was leaving) drop her championship to the returning Layla as opposed to an active Diva on the roster. Layla had been out of action for nearly a year an dthe time she was seen on WWE TV she was post Lay-Cool. WWE has tried their hardest to make Layla the new likeable face Diva and it has not worked. After going months without any title defenses, many had forgotten that she was the current WWE Divas Champion, again I dont blame this on Layla this is soley WWE's fault.
