The news about Jerry 'The King' Lawler just keeps getting better. WWE.com had this update late yesterday: "As of Wednesday afternoon, September 12, 2012, Jerry 'The King' Lawler remains in a cardiac care unit in Montreal. His vital signs continue to be stable. He is awake, recognizes family members and is communicating with them. We continue to wish Jerry all the best for a full recovery." Jerry's girlfriend added this update: "I know everyone wants to speak to him and hear him...just know that he is doing great now and when the time comes for him to call and talk he will..I promise! Also, the rumor statutes that he was brain dead or had brain damage is completely FALSE. His CT scan of his brain came back NORMAL & he is just fine! Thanks again everyone for your love, support, and powerful prayers!! I will be bringing the King back home before you know it! :)" Michael Cole had the best news of all: "#wweuniverse you will never believe this! I just got off the phone with #jerrylawler and he is alert and in great spirits! #jerrylawler sends his love to you all and thanks you for all the support! He says the strap will be coming down soon! Folks #jerrylawler is going to win this!"

Dr. Tom Prichard shares some thoughts on The King.
I'm not going to sit here and write about what great friends and best buddies the King and I are or were. I worked for the Memphis office many times in my career. I wrestled King in the Memphis territory, even tagged with him when his regular partner had a bad back and didn't care to work against the Moondogs. The Moondogs were doing hardcore matches before they were called hardcore matches. They would consist of coming to the ring with chairs, trash cans and anything they could get their hands on. Lawler took every shot full on (as did I) and gave it back without one complaint. He wasn't always the most popular guy with some in the crew, but no boss ever is. He led by example and worked hard if not harder than anybody on the card. He wasn't the top guy because he was part owner. He was the top guy because he IS a top guy. I and many others don't call him Jerry. He's King. I can't remember calling him anything else.

Chris Murphy's latest political attack ad on Linda McMahon claims she fired 10% of her workers as WWE CEO in 2007 then got a $10 million tax break for it. (PWI)

Jesse Ventura shares some of his memories of The King.

I'm the only guy who went to Memphis who beat Lawler and he never beat me back. But there is a side story to that. I had won the Central States title from Jerry and he would have beaten me eventually but there were some problems when my daughter was born and I had to stay in Minnesota. Lawler was flying me into Memphis 3 days a week, every week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I had to stay with my daughter for a month when she was born because she was born with some complications. So I couldn't come back and had to Fed Ex the belt to Jerry. That's the reason he never beat me. I am probably the only wrestler in history that ever beat Jerry Lawler in Memphis and Jerry never beat me. Down the line however he certainly would have beaten me for that title.

A heart attack can hit anybody at anytime. You got to be in shape, that's why I continue to work out. You got to keep yourself in shape. I personally don't think anyone that age should be in the ring… not at all. It's a young man's game. I wouldn't do it, I wouldn't even consider it. I had my hip done. I wouldn't even consider getting in the ring today. I wouldn't have considered it ten years ago. When I left, I left. Notice I am the only wrestler who retired, who stayed retired. I never made a comeback. I hate to say this but I haven't watched wrestling in 22 years. I watched a little bit before I was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and I watched it a little bit before Vince brought me back before that Monday Night Raw. I felt I should at least know who the wrestlers are.

John Cena is back to his tweeting ways.
My apologies for my social absence. Just taking a bit of time to figure all this out. Looking to see the usual rowdy crowd in Boston

There, as always, seems to be alot of mixed opinions out there 1 thing is for sure #WWENOC has a VERY 'Big Fight' feel to it.

I don't need to talk anymore about @CMPunk i know where he stands, he knows where i stand. One thing left. SUNDAY. BOSTON. #WWENOC

ROH star T.J. Perkins is working a dark match at tonight's Impact Wrestling.

William Regal dismisses reports online he's looking for ROH-style talent as POPPYCOCK.

Someone has just tweeted me about something that I'm supposed to have said over the last two days while spending time and giving invaluable advise to wrestlers who come to be looked at by the WWE.

I know I'm old and my standards are different to most but it really sickens me that someone out of the five people I saw this week would do that.

Whats more appalling to me is that I never actually said what was quoted and so it shows that they weren't even listening. Such a shame.

WWE.com just posted a new Natalya photo gallery. Mmm. Linger on this one for a while. It's worthwhile. She looks angelic.

Last but not least Titus O'Neil says his next door neighbor DAVE BATISTA was the one who got him into pro wrestling.
