News Bits/Rumors:

►In Joshi news, Leon has regained the CMLL-REINA International Championship for the second time. Leon defeated La Amapola for the championship in a two-out-of-three falls match on November 25th. On August 26, 2012, Leon won the CMLL-REINA International Championship Tournament by defeating Tiffany in the finals to become the inaugural champion. Leon held onto the championship until October 12th, when Amapola won the championship at CMLL's "Super Viernes." In its four month existence, expect to see more title switches between the CMLL and REINAxWORLD roster, but who's next in line? CMLL has a number of luchadoras on their roster as opposed to REINAxWORLD'S thin roster, most of which have not competed for REINA. From Dark Angel Sarah Stock(Sarita), Goya Kong, Estrellita and CMLL World Women's Champion Marcela, most of CMLL's female brass have yet to crossover into REINAxWORLD, though Sarita's contract with TNA and recent issues with CMLL could hold a possible roadblock in her involvement with the promotion. With the deal between both promotions, more Joshis and Luchadoras will be mixed in together.

In a shocker, Kana has quit Wrestling New Classic. After losing to Nagisa Nozaki in the second round of the WNC Women's Championship Tournament, Kana announced that she will no longer be working for the promotion. Kana revealed the reason behind her decision to leave to Ringstars, that she had not been paid by the promotion for four months and received no further explanation on the financial situation. Kana also indicated that the promotion didnt book her as one of their top stars, in which she is. Kana helped put Joshi Puroresu over in SMASH on the map back in 2010, with her notable outings against Syuri and former WWE Diva Serena Deeb, Kana definitely was the main attraction at SMASH. Lin Byron, Makoto and Syuri, Kana was the star out of the four, not to discredit any of the other women, but Kana's experience and accolades trumps them. Kana handled her decision appropriately, she didnt announce her departure in the ring as she had respect to not air the promotion's dirty laundry on a public display. Though she continued to work for a promotion that didnt compensate for four months, Kana didnt go the route of press conferences or Twitter to shine a light on the promotions wrong doings, she continued to work and ask for explanations from the higher ups. The former two-time SMASH Divas Champion, aligned herself with Tajiri back in 2010 with SMASH and was at Tajiri's side for Wrestling New Classic's launch. Kana may have left Wrestling New Classic, but it certainly wont tant her future in professional wrestling. "The World Famous" is once again a freelancer, something that she has dabbled in throughout her career. Kana regularly appears for Pro Wrestling WAVE and other Joshi promotions and has appeared for CHIKARA and has became a regular at the SHIMMER tapings. Nagisa Nozaki will face Syuri in the finals of the WNC Women's Championship Tournament on December 27th.

AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Sexy Star won Pro Wrestling WAVE's Reina de Reinas Tournament last week. Sexy Star defeated Jennifer Blake and the returning KAGUYA(Mio Shirai) to win the tournament. Sexy Star retains her championship in a tournament that seems pointless now. Sexy Star is a two-time Reina de Reinas Champion, she held the championship for close to a year back in 2010 before dropping it to Mari Apache, this time around its clear that this is AAA's intentions to keep the championship on Sexy Star, not to mention she rarely defends the championship. Fabi Apache and Jennifer Blake traveled to Japan to participate in a tournament that was going to end with Sexy Star retaining, something that could of been handled in Mexico. AAA looks to be on the verge of a working relationship with Pro Wrestling WAVE, which is great exposure for the women on both rosters, but again, this tournament should of been more broad. Mio Shirai returned to working her masked luchadora gimmick as KAGUYA for the tournament, Shirai has not worked that gimmick since her short stay in AAA in 2010. Also, Ayako Hamada, Bachiko and CIMA defeated Fenix, Lolita and Pimpinela Escarlata in a mixed tag team match when Hamada got the small package on Escarlata. Misaki Ohata and Tsukasa Fujimoto are the new Pro Wrestling WAVE Tag Team Champions. Misaki and Fujimoto won the Dual Shock WAVE 2012 Tournament on November 16th, defeating Shu Shibutani and Syuri in the finals. After her stable, Black Dahlia was disbanded, Ohata continued to work in singles before handpicking Tsukasa Fujimoto as her tag team partner for the Daul Shock WAVE Tournament, choosing Tsukasa has brought them luck as they defeated Tomoka Nakagawa and GAMI for the WAVE Tag Team Championship on November 27th, ending their reign after 163 days. Tsukasa Fujimoto has proven that she is not allergic to gold. By Novemeber 27th, Fujimoto was holding three championships simultaneously, the WAVE Tag Team Championship and the International Ribbon Tag Team Championship and REINAxWORLD Tag Team Championship with Hikaru Shida. Fujimoto recreated that magic she had back in June when she captured the REINAxWORLD Tag Titles, the International Ribbon Tag Titles, DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship and the IW19 Championship all in a two week period.

On November 25th, Muscle Venus(Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida) defeated Tsukushi and Kurumi to unify the Ribbon Tag Team Titles with the REINAxWORLD Championship. Before Muscle Venus could enjoy their reign as double champions, Hamuko Hoshi and Hailey Hatred defeated the duo for the unified straps on November 28th. Hamuko Hoshi is the current IW19 Champion and now one-half of the International Ribbon-REINAxWORLD Tag Team Champions. Another woman that is NOT allergic to gold is Hailey Hatred, now holding a total of SIX championships, Hailey's waist never seizes to catch a break from carrying gold. Back in 2011, Hatred held the JWP Openweight Championship, TLW World Women's Championship, IMW Hybrid Fighting Championship, Daily Sports Women's Tag Team Championship and the JWP Tag Team Championship simultaneously. Hatred is the current Triangle Ribbon Champion, Remix Pro Wrestling Women's Champion, TLW World Women's Champion, IMW Hybrid Fighting Champion and REINAxWORLD Tag Team Champion/ Ribbon Tag Team Champion. Just when you think Hatred has slowed down, she has not. Mio Shirai was successful in her second title defense of herICEx60 Championship against Neko Nitta on the 28th.

►Pro Wrestling Syndicate's Bombshell Ladies of Wrestling returns on December 6th for their second show. Headlining the the show will be the second round of the BLOW Championship Tournament. The inaugural show saw Brittney Savage, Annie Social, Christina Von Eerie, Sienna DuVall, Sumie Sakai, Becky Bayless, Marti Belle and Missy Sampson advance in the "Sweet Sixteen." Brittney Savage has since pulled out of the event, leaving PWS to replace her with Veda Scott. Scott advances to the second round and will face Sumie Sakai. Trained by Jaguar Yokota, Lioness Asuka, Bison Kimura and Killer Kowalski, Sumie Sakai has been wrestling since 1997. Sakai has worked all over Japan and here in the United States. Veda Scott is currently one-half of the Absolute Intense Wrestling Tag Team Champions Gregory Iron, most likely the most hated duo in AIW history. Scott works as Iron's legal advisor and tag team partner, dubbing theirselves Hope & Change. Christina Von Eerie is also no longer appearing for PWS. Von Eerie knocked off Mia Yim in the first round, Social defeated Alexxis Neveah.
Von Eerie has been busy as of late, recently embarked on her first tour of Japan for Stardom, teaming with Kyoko Kimura in the Goddesses of Stardom Tag Team Championship Tournament. Von Eerie was scheduled to face Annie Social, but has been replaced with Katarina Waters. Social herself has traveled to Japan for Diana and recently formed a tag team with Kimber Lee over in WSU, the duo came up shot against The Midwest Militia in a non-title match at "Full Steam Ahead." Becky Bayless squares off against Sienna DuVall in the second round. Bayless is well known on the independents for her work in Women Superstars Uncensored, Ring of Honor and her recent TNA stint. DuVall was trained by WSU alumni Amy Lee and has worked for IndyGurlz, NWA Ring Warriors and recently debuted in SHINE Wrestling. Though she's only been around for a couple of years DuVall's name is picking up steam on independent scene.

Current WSU Spirit Champion Marti Belle will have to get through Missy Sampson to make it the final round. Both ladies were featured in interviews here on AngryMarks.com a few weeks ago. Belle captured the WSU Spirit Championship back in June, Belle has since successfully defended the championship against Nikki Addams back in October. Missy Sampson is the veteran in this match, if you listened to Tuesday Night AMP a few weeks ago, then you would know that Missy knows the ropes and is not afraid to run them. Will Missy's experience help her advance to the finals? or Will Marti's charismatic brawling style help in her in defeat? There will also be three non-tournament matches on the card, Kimber Lee takes on Silvie Silver, Miss Adiva takes on La Rosa Negra and Amber O'Neal will face Shelly Martinez. Kimber Lee is most notably known as a member of Combat Zone Wrestling's roster. Lee has recently worked for Joshi promotion REINAxWORLD and has become apart of WSU recently.

Silvie Silver is a former fitness model turned wrestler. Silver was trained by Rob Fuego and former TNA Knockout Taylor Wilde up in Toronto, Canada. Silver Silver will be accompanied by Melissa Coates at ringside in a managerial role. Miss Adiva and La Rosa Negra will be making their debuts for the promotion. Miss Adiva is a second generation wrestler and was originally scheduled to appear at the last show, but due to travel issues her match was canceled. Miss Adiva is more known on the Chicago circuit, Adiva will bringing MTV cameras to BLOW as she is being featured on True Life. La Rosa Negra is the current Battling Bombshells Champion over in NWA Ring Warriors. Former WWE Diva and TNA Knockout Shelly Martinez will face ArenaChicks CEO Amber O'Neal. Martinez and O'Neal are big names on the independent scene, both ladies have been around a long time and are indeed no strangers to each other. Martinez recently became the Commissioner of ArenaChicks. Amber O'Neal aka the Ice Queen has been juggling duties booty bopping opponents one at a time in CWF Mid-Atlantic and promoting ArenaChicks all over the country. Alicia will also be making her debut, as she has issued an Open Challenge for the event.

►Ivelisse Velez versus Reby Sky has been added to Family Wrestling Entertainment's IPPV on February 16th. The FWE Women's Championship will be on the line as Maria Kanellis defends her championship against Angel Williams. In an exclusive dark match, TNA Knockout Gail Kim will face Katarina Waters. Former WWE Diva Maryse will also be making her return. Maria Kanellis has also gotten engaged to her boyfriend Mike Bennett recently. Congrats!

►Evie's Impact Pro Wrestling New Zealand Women's Championship will be on the line against Megan-Kate in a Bat on a Pole match.

►This Sunday December 9th, TNA returns to PPV with "Final Resolution." The TNA Knockouts Championship will be on the line as Tara along with her "Hollywood Boyfriend" Jessie Godderz in tow will defend the championship against Mickie James. Two weeks ago, Mickie James won a number one contender's battle royal on Impact Wrestling, eliminating Gail Kim with the Mick Kick. Back on October 14th, Tara captured the TNA Knockouts Championship for the fifth time at "Bound for Glory." Tara defeated former tag team partner Miss Tessmacher for the championship after coming up short against the Knockout at the previous PPV. "Bound for Glory" also saw the introduction of Tara's boyfriend, Jessie Godderz from Big Brother. Since Jessie's arrival in TNA, Tara has become more concerned about impressing her boyfriend than being the TNA Knockouts Champion, the championship has become an embellishment to Tara and Jessie's shenanigans. Tara has only one successful title defense against Miss Tessmacher, Tara and Jessie became pre-occupied with the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions ODB and Eric Young. ODB managed to pick a few non-title wins over Tara, which led to Eric Young making his long awaited return to aid his wife in the feud. ODB and Eric Young defeated the "Hollywood Power Couple" at Turning Point last month. Tara has also developed a dislike towards Executive of the Knockouts Brooke Hogan, this all started when Tara took liberties into her won hands andattacked Miss Tessmacher and attempted to attack Christy Hemme. Tara's reign as Knockouts Champion has yet to be threatened. After a near four month absence, Mickie James has returned to Impact Wrestling. James is a former two-time TNA Knockouts Champion and looks to add a thrid championship reign to her long list of accomplishments. Between Mickie and Tara there is fifteen championships, with Tara with seven and Mickie with eight. Mickie James is still the only woman to have held the WWE Divas Championship, WWE Women's Championship and the TNA Knockouts Championship. Mickie James is 0-2 in her "Final Resolution" appearances, last year she came up short to Gail Kim for the Knockouts Championship and the previous year she was defeated by Tara in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Tara is undefeated in her "Final Resolution" appearances, in 2009 she defeated ODB for the TNA Knockouts Championship for her second reign. Does Tara walk out still champion? or Does Mickie James hit her third reign?

TNA Knockout Sarita has been busy, Sarita has won her seventh CMLL Annual Female Bodybuilding Competition. Though she has not appeared on Impact Wrestling since April, Sarita has been busy touring in Japan, working for CMLL and training for the competition, “I train throughout the year, but about 12 weeks out from the competition, I start to change my diet and increase the intensity of my workouts. It’s a lot of chicken, eggs, fish, beef, vegetables, and some oatmeal and little fruit. I start to do more plyometrics, push-ups and jumping and do more high-intensity interval training. I also continue to train wrestling so that my body adjusts, and I’m able to remain agile and balanced in the ring as I’m dropping weight.” Sarita beat out CMLL luchadoras Dalys and Isis to be crowned "Miss CMLL." Sarita thanked everyone for support on her Facebook, “THANK YOU for so much support today at the contest. I was elated to see so many friends cheering me on. 7 time champ!” Sarita has won the CMLL Bodybuilding competition for the seventh year in a row. It looks that Sarita and CMLL have patched up their differences recently and have moved past it. News broke that CMLL was upset with the TNA Knockout booking herself for a two month tour of Japan without their consent. CMLL began advertising Dark Angel for appearances in Mexico with prior knowledge of her absence, forcing other female competitors to pick up the slack. Though her status with CMLL might be in the clear, her status with TNA is not so clear. Sarita and tag team partner Rosita have not been booked by the promotion for more than six months now. Rosita was busy appearing on the independents, but due to the new TNA contracts talent are no longer allowed to appear for promotions that air IPPVs or sell DVDs. Sarita's contract with TNA must be an exclusive deal where she is able to appear for CMLL and Stardom over in Japan recently. Unlike Rosita, Sarita is a top star in her home promotion of CMLL and has been since her debut. Rosita is still young to the business and the more exposure and experience she gains from appearing on the independents will do wonders for her TNA career, Rosita has continued to update fans that she will be making a return to TNA soon, but it looks foggy as of now. Rosita has been busy modeling, becoming a Zumba instructor, competing in fitness competitons and appearing at autographs signings. Rosita is still around, just not on Impact Wrestling. Madison Rayne recently returned to Impact Wrestling after her recent fitness competition. Gail Kim also did the disappearing act and Miss Tessmacher has messing with the hocus pocus as well. With some many of the Knockouts disappearing for quite sometime, it makes the rumors of Bruce Pritchard not being a fan of women's wrestling true.

There was a period in TNA where you saw all the Knockouts on a weekly basis, with the roster being so slim you rarely see two. Maybe this is a smart business move on TNA's end, by focusing on the Knockouts that are involved in the title picture as opposed to the entire division. The presence of the Knockouts division has been down in recent months, even though every match delivers the once strong presence of the women on the program has dwindled down. Former TNA Knockout Velvet Sky has apparently re-signed with TNA behind closed doors. Sky has been debunking rumors of her signing a new contract with the company for quite sometime now. After departing from the company back in July, Sky embarked on a Beautiful People Reunion Tour with tag team partner Angel Williams, the former Angelina Love. The Beautiful People recently defeated Maria Kanellis and Katarina Waters at Family Wrestling Entertainment's IPPV in October. Sky has recently slowed down on the appearances, while Angel recently worked overseas for Pro Wrestling:EVE. TNA President Dixie Carter made it known that she wanted Velvet Sky back in the company and was willing to pull out all stops to have her back on board. Sky capitalised on her status as a former TNA Knockouts Champion on the independents, with many promoters scratchign tooth and nail to book the Beautiful People. The reunion helped put money in both of their pockets and allowed them to run free on the independents once more. Both women were well established on the independents before being signed by TNA back in 2007. After five years, both looked to needed a change of pace and wanted to move onto other endeavors. Sky is still listed as apart of the roster.

►The former Tenille Tayla, Emma debuted on NXT last week against Audrey Marie. The match was what it was for three minutes, alot of awkward spots and way to many backslide pinfalls. Emma didnt provide much in her debut, being the veteran in this match, she didnt lead Audrey much in the match. Audrey got the win with theSwinging Side Slam. Emma was over the crowd, as they chanted her name throughout the match, being that this was her first outing, her next match needs to pull out the stops. Emma has been having great outings with Paige on live events, their triple threat match against Summer Rae was really good, taking Summer Rae with less than a year experience they made her look like a four-year pro. The WWE deveolpmental system has a good crop of Divas, Divas that are willing to learn the craft. With Sara Del Rey as one of the trainers, Paige, Sasha Banks and Emma could also provide great help to inexperienced crew. The current NXT Divas are most likely the best set, you have Banks, Paige and Emma as the women wrestlers, Charlotte, Anya, Summer Rae and Dani all have athletic backgrounds along with these catalogue friendly looks. Audrey Marie is the only former FCW Divas Champion left in NXT, with the rest being departed or on the roster. WWE's intentions with the Divas looks to bringing in more women that WANT to work in the company and could potentially be trained into performers. Of course, many of the models will hired based on looks to work promotional appearances.

WWE.com published an article on the evolution of the WWE Divas and its current state. "Some of the WWE Universe might say the Divas division has been diminished, having lost a whole half-dozen of its best and brightest over the past twelve months. And it’s true: at least in terms of depth, fate carved quite the swath through WWE’s women’s division in 2012, but the depletion has also initiated a new era of opportunity for the remaining Divas. In one turn around the sun, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Maxine, Kharma and The Bella Twins have all left WWE, with no small amount of shock. At first glance, that’s a sudden, dark cloud hanging over one of WWE’s most time-honored divisions. But the whole process has turned out to be something along the lines of an evolution for the Divas. True, the abrupt change in the Divas’ landscape has been jarring for the WWE Universe. But the transformation seems to us a breath of fresh air, a chance at a fresh start, and an opportunity to redefine the very definition of a WWE Diva." The article broke down each Divas' current position in the division, but also put over WWE Divas Champion Eve as the success story in the current division. The article made it clear that with the numerous departures in recent months, the division will continue to roll as the division is new and improved. It looks that the WWE is "comfortable" with how the division is going as of late. WWE officials are said to be pleased with NXT Diva Paige, known as Britani Knight in SHIMMER, officials feel that the young Diva is ready to be on the main roster. As a fan of Britani Knight's, I've been long familiar with her great experience in the ring and her charismatic personality. The second generation wrestler debuted in the United States for SHIMMER in 2011, though she debuted as a heel, Britani's raw personality appealed to the crowd and got her over very quickly. Its no surprise that the same magic has happened in NXT, since NXT's creation in 2009, no Diva has received such a reaction that Paige receives from the crowd. I dont think any Diva in FCW was that popular. The girl has "IT" and the crowd knows and now the officials do, its just time to wait and see if they will actually bring her up to the roster.

Recently the WWE has embarked on numerous storylines involving the WWE Divas and WWE Superstars involved in love angles, this is done to cater to WWE's female demographic. WWE thinks that by appealing to females that their viewership in the female demographic will increase. As a female and a fan, the storylines are beginning to be a bit much. The AJ Lee-John Cena-Daniel Bryan-Dolph Ziggler-CM Punk-Kane-Vickie Guerrero storyline has gone beyond being the untimely tale of Romeo and Juliet, the forbidden love. Its now gone to the point that AJ Lee is having false accusations thrown at her about her having affairs with WWE Superstars while in the position of RAW General Manager, its hard to get behind this when two months prior to this she was involved in a twisted love triangle that involved three men. This angle not only put the WWE Championship on the back burner, but became the main focus of every show, fast forward to now its happening all over again. AJ Lee was RAW General Manager and apparently had an affair with John Cena, both have denied the accusations, Vickie Guerrero was upset that AJ Lee was offered the role as an authority figure to begin with, her jealousy towards AJ has turned into hatred. Dolph Ziggler doesnt like AJ because he feels that Vickie deserved the job and oh, he has a few issues with John Cena himself, its a bunch of confusion. Dolph Ziggler has proclaimed his hatred for AJ Lee, but it sounds like a man scorned. Ziggler keeps saying "What if AJ and I kissed?" and Vickie reacts in a manner that she doesnt even want to ponder the thought of that happening. Vickie Guerrero is quick to point AJ's wrong doings of fraternizing with the roster when she did the exact same when she was General Manager of Smackdown. Vickie got married to Edge and cheated on him with the Big Show, after their divorce Dolph Ziggler became her new keychain. Its a lot of hyprocritical, contradictory mess, but Vickie is the heel, heels are supposed to be hypocritical, contradictory, disgusting, bad intention having, jealous and out right dispicable. AJ Lee is the underdog babyface, she was dumped by Daniel Bryan, CM Punk rejected her proposal, Kane got one hell of a liplock out of desperation, she became RAW General Manager against all odds and in the end AJ's karma of breaking hearts and lead ons, led to her dimise as General Manager, her affairs came back to bite in the end. Now she is being accused of courting John Cena and never did. The two had a makeout session on RAW to debunk all the accusations from Vickie Guerrero, this distraction caused Dolph Ziggler to attack John Cena from behind. AJ Lee later stormed into the men's lockerroom to confront Ziggler, it only made matters worse as Cena was once again on the receiving end of a beating in AJ's honor. Dolph Ziggler said that AJ was just another pathetic girl that latched onto any guy that paid her any attention, this has been proven in the past to be the case for AJ. AJ lets her emotions get the best of her, and in anyone involved with her is the sacrificial lamb to the crossfire. This never-ending saga is becoming more ridiculous every week, I have quite no idea where WWE would think this would appeal to the female demographic. In the age of the Housewives of(insert big city here) and the numerous reality shows focused on women being married to either a basketball player or someone within the entertainment industry, this storyline is just as bad as anything on reality television. Rosa Mendes and Alberto Del Rio. After making googly eyes at each other for more than a year, WWE finally decides lets do something with this storyline. Rosa's team of Primo and Epico are an after thought to this whole situation as of right now. Given that WWE is World Wrestling Entertainment, their is nothing entertaining about watching a woman be torn apart by false accusations or throwing herself at every guy that passes through, the WWE Divas Champion is being portrayed as a coniving, egotistical, spot light hungry woman. Eve is the Assistant General Manager to Booker T on Smackdown, this past year alone Eve has been featured in an authority role on both brands, why is it so hard to have a female authority figure that does not engage in relationships with the roster or one that does not get caught up in controversy.
