What's going to happen on SmackDown tonight? The Big Show and Sheamus meet at WWE TLC in a Chairs Match in 9 days. Sheamus got the upper hand on Show on Monday Night Raw this week being on the winning side of a tag team match. How will the giant be affected by this? Who will gain momentum towards WWE TLC? Also, the main event announced for tonight is Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett. These two brawlers have had problems in the past, so will they rekindle the fire of hatred they have for each other? Tune in to find out! As always you can join us in the AngryMarks chat to discuss the show.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown

BREAKING NEWS: CM Punk has suffered a slightly torn miniscus and had to get surgery for it. The surgery was successful but he will be out approximately three weeks, which means he will not be defending his WWE Championship at WWE TLC. This means that Ryback must now team with Team Hell No against The Shield in a 6-man tag TLC Match with the win stipulation being only pinfall or submission (for the first time ever in a TLC match).

SmackDown General Manager Booker T is standing in the ring as the show comes on, and the returning Lilian Garcia introduces him. (Welcome back, Lilian!) Booker T: "Thank you ladies and gentlemen. I have some business tonight and I'm gonna kick it off. Guys, you've watched my career for many many years. You know when Booker T has some business to take care of he'll take care of it right here in the middle of this ring. Or he'll take it to the back. Or he'll take it to the street. Or he'll take it to a supermarket if you know what I'm sayin'. I say this because I know what it is to be in a highly-contested feud with a superstar. But now guys, I'm the General Manager of SmackDown, it's my responsibility to give you a great show each and every week. Which brings me to my next point - Big Show and Sheamus. Right now it's personal. And when things get personal sometimes it gets physical. That's why tonight I have to make a drastic decision. But before that drastic action I want you guys to see why I have to make this tough decision." We get to see clips of their brawl in a parking lot last month where they destroyed cars and windows until they had to get separated. We get a look at Survivor Series three weeks ago where Sheamus whacked Big Show over 30 times with a steel chair. "You see what I'm sayin'? In nine days, Big Show and Sheamus is gonna go one-on-one for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Chairs Match at the TLC pay-per-view. But I'm afraid that's not gonna happen. I'm afraid one of these guys is gonna do something. That's why tonight, I have made a stipulation - a no-contact clause until TLC effective immediately. Now normally I would go in the back and speak with both individuals, but I wanna bring both men out here and sign this contract to make it official. So right now, without further adieu please help me welcome the World Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show."

Josh Mathews and JBL discuss Booker T's decision and JBL says he likes the idea and says Booker is doing a great job. Booker T introduces Sheamus next and the commentators talk about Sheamus stepping up his intensity. Booker: "Sheamus, if you refuse and wanna disobey my no-contact clause go right ahead. If you do you will lose your title shot at TLC. It's up to you man. And Big Show, I don't know what you're smiling about. I know you got your iron-clad contract but I know one other thing. You love that World Heavyweight Championship. I'll tell you what, if you wanna do the same thing and disobey my no-contact clause, Big Show you will be STRIPPED of the World Heavyweight Championship. Oh yeah! So let's do this and get down to business. Sheamus, will you please put your name on the dotted line?" Both men sit down in the swivel chairs provided for them and Sheamus looks over the contract. Sheamus: "You know Show, since it's the holiday season let me put it like this for you. Having to wait nine more days to kick your arse is like having nine days for Christmas. I used to hate to wait to open my presents, but what I found out was that in the end it was actually worth it. In nine days time, Christmas comes early, and I get the gift of beating you from head to toe with a steel chair! And in the end, I guarantee you fella I'm gonna get the ultimate present, the World Heavyweight Championship." Sheamus signs his name on the contract. Booker asks Show to sign next and he too looks over the contract asking if it's legal. Big Show: "Well Sheamus, you know, Christmas for you has really come early. You know the purpose of this contract is to make sure you make it to TLC in one piece. But you should be careful of what you wish for, FELLA. Now you hit me with that steel chair at Survivor Series, what, 25-30 times. I still got up, didn't I? What's gonna happen when a 7-foot, 500-pound giant swings a steel chair and destroys that Irish skin of yours fella? I only have to hit you ONCE. The worst thing in the world you could do was ask for a chairs match with me at TLC. You should ask Booker to get out of this match, but you're too stupid to realize what you're doing to yourself! If I hit you with a steel chair Sheamus, I'm gonna change you forever. You may never be the same. I might end your career at TLC. Happily I might add, but I could end your career. Difference between you and me, I think things through, got experience. You're just all vinegar and fire. That Irish temper gets to you, you wanna fight fella, you wanna fight! That's what you wanna do fella! Fight fight fight!" Sheamus: "You know Show, you know how ridiculous you look right now? You talk about a fight? All I came to the WWE for was to fight. And the last two PPV's that we've been in together, you have to admit has been the greatest fight of your career. I made you relevant again fella, but I don't believe that you have one more left in you. And I believe in that big fat belly of yours that you're shaking. You know this chairs match could be the end of you. You think you'll end my career? Fella, I'll GLADLY end your career at TLC!" The talking is over and Big Show finally picks up the contract, SHOVES the table onto Sheamus, THEN signs the contract! He laughs at Sheamus and mocking him holding up the contract as Booker holds Sheamus back. Booker tries to talk some sense into him and tells him he's in a match with Alberto Del Rio so he can take his frustrationsa out at him. Booker tells Big Show to stop laughing because he has to face Daniel Bryan NEXT. Out comes one-half of the Tag Team Champions as Booker and Sheamus leave and the ring crew cleans up the ring before our first commercial break.

* Big Show {World Heavyweight Champion} vs. Daniel Bryan {Tag Team Champion}
  [non-title match]

Bryan starts with kicks to the side but Big Show just headbutts him and clubs him on the back. He slaps him on the chest, Bryan kicks him again, Show clubs him back down again. Bryan ducks a palm strike and kicks him in the leg some more. Big Show takes over again and body slams him. Show headbutts him, shouts at Bryan about 45 seconds, headbutts him again, then BLASTS him on the chest with another slap. Bryan chops him on the chest, kicks him, chops him again, but Big Show still won't go down. He squashes him in a corner, Bryan dropkicks him on the leg and Show leaves the ring. Big Show nearly catches him off a suicide dive, Bryan slips off and shoves him away, then Show slaps him on the chest as he comes off the apron and we take another commercial break.

Big Show hits a running jumping elbow drop for 2 when we come back. He elbows Bryan's left arm and puts his weight on it to injure it. Bryan is a one-armed man at this point as Big Show stands on his arm while leaning on the ropes. Show stares at the crowd as they cheer for Bryan. He clubs him on the back and headbutts his arm then wrenches it down to the mat. Show stalks Bryan, shoves him into a corner, charges, Bryan puts the boots up and hits a flying knee and two running dropkicks! Bryan gets Show to his knees and kicks him on the chest repeatedly, Show blocks the head kick, Bryan counters the Choke Slam with a DDT for 1. Bryan connects with the head kick! Bryan starts to climb the turnbuckle, but the THE SHIELD is walking down the aisles towards the ring! Big Show CHOKE SLAMS Bryan off the top turnbuckle for 3! WINNER: BIG SHOW.

The Shield have made their way to ringside and Show stares at them before leaving. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns circle Daniel Bryan like vultures. THE SHIELD ATTACKS DANIEL BRYAN! HERE COMES KANE! Kane gets in the ring and tries to fight them all but they gang up on him and beat him down as well. They continue the assault at ringside and they start to tear apart the announce table. Ambrose and Rollins put Kane on Reigns' shoulders and THE SHIELD POWERBOMBS KANE THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Breaktime.

Damien Sandow is in the ring next. Damien Sandow: "Silence the music, I am about to speak. As your intellectual savior, I have attempted to raise the cerebral bar here in the WWE for far too long. This attempt has proven itself to be a fruitless endeavor. However, I am going to give one of you the opportunity to become my apprentice this evening. Who amongst you is worthy of such an esteemed position? Please settle down, you're acting like a bunch of ignoramouses, settle down. This gets worse every week. No, no, YOU! Security, please escort this man to the ring. As always, I urge that you all pay very close attention, and test yourselves because next time it may be you. Sir, please hurry up. Yes, use the steps, very good. Now sir, you have the enviable opportunity of becoming my apprentice. All you have to do - please don't stand so close to me - all you have to do is answer three questions correctly. Question #1: 5 + 5 = what? (10! That's one right there.) One question, yes, congratulations you passed math. Question #2: Who is the current President of the United States? (Barack Obama!) Sir your palms are very sweaty, that is bad form, please put your hands by your side. Question #3: What 17th century genre of art eminating from The Netherlands focus on still life paintings depicting mortality and transcience? (I have no idea.) And I'm not surprised, does anyone know the answer? VANITAS! THAT is the answer! You have disgraced yourself, you have disgraced everyone in this building, that beard on your face is a disgrace to faces everywhere! You sir, lose. Hold on, wait wait, YOU'RE WELCOME." AWESOME! Here comes the newly reformed Miz, and Sandow is puzzled as to why he's out here asking him "May I help you?" The Miz: "Yes Damien, how about you answer me a question. What 21st century WWE superstar wears his daddy's bathrobe and buys his pink trunks from Victoria's Secret? The answer, Damien Sandow. You're welcome." Sandow is speechless and The Miz won the crowd over!

Josh and JBL talk about Dolph Ziggler and John Cena, and we get clips from Raw this past week where they were involved in a tag match alongside Big Show and Sheamus as their respective tag partners. Sheamus and Cena won the match and continue their momentum towards next Sunday. Ziggler wanted another match with Cena, Vickie granted it to him, but Vince McMahon showed up and coerced her to put Ziggler's briefcase on the line, so now they fight in a one-on-one Money in the Bank Ladder Match! Brodus Clay and the Funkadactyls come out next along with Jimmy and Jey Uso! They dance to and in the ring before a commercial break.

* Brodus Clay & The Usos vs. 3MB

Jey Uso will start the match with Heath Slater. They lock up and Slater gets a side headlock and a shoulder block. Jey clotheslines him and uppercust him. Jimmy Uso tags in, Jey headbutts him, then Jimmy hits a diving headbutt for 2. Drew McIntyre (who has been out of action for months) tags in and beats Jimmy down ina a corner. Jimmy fights back, Drew puts the boots up and taunts Brodus. Jimmy escapes McIntyre and tags in the big Clay who clubs him down. Clay knocks Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater off the apron, squashes McIntyre in a corner then delivers an exploder suplex. He tags Jey in, Slater and Mahal pull him off the apron, and they shove him into the barricade. Jimmy jumps off the turnbuckle onto Mahal, Slater avoided contact, he gets on the apron, Jey kicks him off, and McIntyre uses all of that distraction to shake the ropes tripping him up. McIntyre plants Jey Uso with the Future Shock DDT for 3. WINNERS: 3MB.

Wade Barrett is interviewd backstage about his match with Randy Orton. He says Orton doesn't need to be worried about The Shield, he needs to be worried about him tonight. He reminds us that he threw Orton down a flight of stairs a year ago, and he plans to end him with the Bull Hammer tonight. Breaktime. When we come back, Kofi Kingston has joined the commentary table for the next match.

* Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett

They lock up and Orton gets a side headlock and does a shoulder block. They lock up again, Barrett gets a rear waistlock, Orton reverses it, Barrett backs him into a corner and hits a back elbow. He stomps him down, whips him across the ring, Orton pops out with a clothesline, headbutts him in a corner, whips him across, charges, but Barrett puts a boot up. Barrett misses a kneedrop, Orton throws him out the ring, goes after him, Barrett blocks the steps, Orton blocks the steps, then he slams Barrett's head on the steps and throws him into the barricade. Orton throws Barrett back in the ring, Barrett rolls out the other side, Orton follow, Barrett kicks him, elbows him on the back of the head then throws Orton into the other steps. He throws Orton back in the ring, Orton kicks him through the ropes, pulls him in for the hangman DDT, Barrett counters by tossing him onto the apron, then he does a hard back kick to send him to the floor. Barrett gloats his status, taunts Kofi, and we take a commercial break.

Orton fights out of a chinlock when we come back. Barrett boots Orton in the face and covers for a 2-count. He chokes him on the ropes, Orton fights back, but Barrett boots him in the face knocking him off the apron again. He looks towards Kingston and taunts him again. Barrett rams Orton's back into the edge of the ring apron and gets a 2-count in the ring. He connects with the kneedrop, gets on the second turnbuckle but misses the elbow drop! Orton clotheslines Barrett twice and hits the snap powerslam, then he pulls him through the ropes and hits the hangman DDT! Barrett blocks the RKO, begins to take apart the turnbuckle pad, Kofi gets off commentary and confronts him about it, Barrett gets distracted, then Orton hits the RKO!! 1-2-3 and Orton wins putting a big smile on Kofi's face! WINNER: RANDY ORTON.

The commentators discuss CM Punk getting surgery on his knee as a result of a confrontation with Ryback on Raw. Punk is now out of the PPV but Ryback will still get a title shot somewhere down the line. The Great Khali and Natalya are walking side-by-side along with Hornswoggle before the break.

* Primo & Epico (w/ Rosa Mendes) vs. The Great Khali & Hornswoggle (w/ Natalya)

Primo punches and dropkicks Khali to no avail, Khali just stumbles and punches him on the noggin. He slaps him hard on the chest as Rosa shouts at him from the apron. She gets down, dances, shimmies, shakes her hips, then falls down! Hornswoggle was right behind her on all fours making her trip. Rosa chases him around the ring, Natalya leapfrogs over him and clotheslines Rosa. They have a catfight on the floor while everybody in the ring watches. Khali has Primo in the corner and slaps him on the chest again. Primo ducks a big boot and Khali falls out to the floor. Primo grabs Hornswoggle, drags him into the ring, tags Epico in, they bully him, Khali gets back in the ring behind them, Hornswoggle hulks up, shakes the ropes, ducks under them, then Khali clothesline them both. Khali takes care of both men, Hornswoggle tags in and hits the Tadpole Splash onto Epico for 3. WINNER: GREAT KHALI and HORNSWOGGLE.

We get the Raw Rebound focusing on The Miz conducting a lie detector test to CM Punk on MizTV. He asks him if he is involved with Brad Maddox and The Shield, but before Punk can answer him The Shield come out and ambush The Miz! Team Hell No and Ryback take The Shield out of the picture and CM Punk gloats about it. Ryback returned and took CM Punk out with a chair, a ladder, then he powerbombed him through a table. During that altercation, CM Punk suffered a knee injury and had to get surgery. He is now out of the TLC PPV and now Ryback and Team Hell No take on The Shield in a TLC Match. We now get video footage from a mobile device of The Shield talking about the injustice of CM Punk being put through a lie detector test, Randy Orton demolishing Brad Maddox, and they say they don't work for Paul Heyman or CM Punk. Breaktime.

The United States Champion is in the ring when we come back from break. We learn that Antonio Cesaro will defend his title against R-Truth at WWE TLC. Antonio Cesaro: "As your United States Champion, I learned so much about America. You wanna knwo what I learned about the so-called greatest country in the world? America is weak. America used to be a superpower and there used to be a thing called the American Dream, the belief that anybody can achieve everything. Now that's a lie because I guarantee that most of you, actually all of you, will never amount to anything. You used to pursue the American dream, now you look like The American Dream. You don't even know the meaning of hard work and sacrifice anymore. When I look at America today, I lose all hope. And you know what? The sad thing is your children and your grandchildren will be ever more pathetic than you are. Yeah. And that, is the truth." Speaking of Truth, here comes R-Truth! R-Truth: "WHAT'S UP! You know what you need? You know what you need? Don't WHAT me. Okay, WHAT me. You don't need a new purse. And you don't need a Ricola. Antonio Cesaro needs a dose of the truth. I realized you aren't from around here, because around here the truth shall set you free. You see, when I look across America, I see a bunch of good hard-working people rising up in the face of hard time. I see hard-working people busting their butts to the bone trying to make ends meet. I see hard-working people trying to get in where they fit in. I see hard-working people staring trouble right between the eyes. And when the time is right, the same people will kick trouble right in its little jimmy. You know what it sounds like to me? It sounds like you picking a fight with America. When you pick a fight with America, America fights back." The crowd starts a "U.S.A." chant. Cesaro: "SHUT UP! The United States Champion is talking! Do you even hear yourself talk? You are everything that's wrong with America! You talk trash and you can't back it up. You know what Truth, you are delusional. And that has nothing to do with you having an imaginary friend. It has everything to do with you trying to take MY United States Championship and like all Americans failing miserably. And THAT'S the truth." Truth: "You say that's the truth, huh? Well maybe you don't understand what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, when you kick my dog, I'ma kick yo' cat."

Truth and Cesaro get into a scuffle in the ring! Truth whips him on the ropes but Cesaro leaves the ring. Truth lays the United States Championship flat in the ring and challenges Cesaro to come get it but the champ stays outside the ring. Sheamus takes on Alberto Del Rio - NEXT!

* Alberto Del Rio vs. Sheamus

The main event match is underway and they lock up and end up in a corner. Sheamus does a headlock takeover and beats him down until he leaves the ring for a reprieve. Del Rio charges at him but Sheamus puts his boots up and hits a swinging neckbreaker for 2. Sheamus beats him down in a corner, Del Rio kicks him on the arm and traps it in the ropes. He throws him back in the ring, shoulders him in the midsection, Del Rio blocks a suplex, then he dropkicks Sheamus in the legs to knock him off the apron. Big Show walks out onto the stage and applauds Del Rio as we take our final commercial break.

When we come back, we get a shot of Big Show watching the match from the stage as Del Rio has Sheamus in an armbar. Sheamus battles back, clubs him on the back, Del Rio kicks him in the gut and stomps on the back of his head. He body slams Sheamus near a corner, hops onto the second turnbuckle and does a MOONSAULT for a near-fall! Del Rio hits a snap suplex and floats over for a 1-count then goes back to the armbar. Sheamus headbutts him, puts him on the turnbuckle, but Del Rio counters with the Armbreaker over the ropes (and releases at the count of 4)! Sheamus hits double axe hammers, shoulder thrust in a corner, running kneelift, Del Rio counters the powerslam, Sheamus avoids the rope attack and Del Rio slides through the ropes but hangs on. Sheamus traps Del Rio in the ropes and clubs him on the chest ten times! He suplexes Del Rio back into the ring, climbs the turnbuckle, leaps, hits the flying shoulder tackle and covers hooking both legs for 2.

Del Rio blocks the Irish Curse backbreaker, hits the Back Stabber backbreaker and gets a near-fall. Sheamus counters the Cross Armbreaker, Del Rio avoids the White Noise, avoids the Brogue Kick, Sheamus gets his foot caught on the ropes, DEL RIO HITS SHEAMUS IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH AN ENZIGUIRI FOR 1-2-KICKOUT! Del Rio kicks Sheamus in the back, gets on the second turnbuckle again, goes for the moonsault again but rolls through after Sheamus moves, then Sheamus hits the Irish Curse backbreaker and locks in the CLOVERLEAF! DEL RIO TAPS OUT!! WINNER: SHEAMUS.

That match was the BEST these two have ever had! Big Show applauds Sheamus' victory as he walks towards the ring. Show rests his title on the ropes and "double-dog" dares Sheamus to hit him on the chin. Sheamus thinks about it, gets fired up, calls for the Brogue, Show closes his eyes in anticipation, then Sheamus throws Ricardo Rodriguez into Big Show's crotch! Show keels over in agony as Sheamus is all smiles with his slick thinking. We get a slow-mo replay of Ricardo being torpedoed into Show's junk. Sheamus celebrates his win as SmackDown goes off the air.
