Hi everyone, it's time for the TUF 16 Finale Show and who better than to talk about a show with a Canadian and an American than me, the Hardcore Canadian himself Peter H. In total we have 3 fights on Facebook, 4 fights on Fuel and 5 fights on FX. For those in Canada, turn over to Sportsnet One for the live Fuel Fights and then the main card airs after midnight on Sportsnet

Now with that out of the way, let's go to our first fight of the card

Flyweight Division - Jared Papazian vs Tim Elliott

One of the reasons why I love the flyweights division is that it's fast and furious, we see Elliott going for choke after choke. Two minutes into the fight and Elliott scores a deep choke but Papazian gets out and we see them scramble. Papazian hits Elliott with an illegal knee to a grounded opponent. The doctor is asking him questions and he is slow to get to his feet. It was so quick, obvious it was accidental. They are letting him fight I think, but he doesn't look all there. Here we go with half a round left, let's see what happens. Elliott rocks Papazian and Elliott is going for full mount here. Elliott is teeing off here and there is lots of time left on the clock. Back to the feet with a minute left in the round. Papazian has Elliott pinned again the cage as the time continues to tick away. Back to the center and theres the horn. 10-9 for Elliott on my scorecard

Ronda Rousey is cageside cheering on her teammate Papazian, Elliott scores a takedown at the one minute mark. Working in side control and is raining elbows and Papazian is now bleeding from the nose. Back to the center and Papazian needs to swing for the fences here. Halfway through the round and its more of the same with both fighters in the middle of the cage and each getting their shots in. Another 10-9 Elliott

Elliott goes for a choke and loses it quickly and now is trying to get a leglock, and the feed froze and now they are in the center of the cage swinging away. Elliott rocks Papazian and Elliott jumps into full mount and is raining punches. Papazian is a bloody mess here with 3 minutes left in the round. Papazian gives up his back and the shots keep coming. Elliott has both hooks in and is carving Papazian up and gets an arm in for a choke here. Papazian rolls out and then rolls back in. The choke is now in deep with 90 seconds left. Papazian gets out and is back to his feet, no quit in this kid. Elliott with another takedown. Elliott working him on the ground and there's the horn. My scorecard - 30-27 for Elliott

Winner via UD - Tim Elliott (30-25 x 2, 30-26)

Elliott is telling his corner he thinks Papazian was lubed up and very slippery that's why he couldn't get the choke in. Wow two 30-25 scores, that's rare. I could see 30-26 easy.

Lightweight Division - Mike Rio vs John Cofer

Two TUF alumus fight here from last year's Live season. These guys were injured and didn't fight in the finale so are getting their shot here.

Rio looks to be the aggresor in the first minute of this one and Kim Winslow is our referee. Rio has Cofer against the fence and it takes a while to get the action back to the center of the cage. Trading shots and Cofer landed a better shot but Rio is able to pin him against the cage again. Rio finally able to take down Cofer with just over a minute left. Cofer uses a nice spin move to reverse the position. Rio looked to get a leg lock but there's the horn. 10-9 Cofer on my card

30 seconds in and we have a slugfest here, Rio with a huge slam takedown into side control. Both fighters are just getting their timing down in this round and when they land they are very crisp and on target. Cofer has Rio pinned against the cage with 2 minutes left in the round. Rio with a minute left has Cofer's back while Cofer is standing, that's interesting but Cofer is able to take Rio down into the mat and is working in Rio's guard. Slugfest in the middle of the cage as the horn sounds. Close round, I'll say Cofer but Rio could have easily won that one.

The facebook feed is choppy here it's off and on for me but Rio is able to take down Cofer in the center of the cage and is working for side control. Almost into North South but goes back to side control. It looks like Rio is softening Cofer up here for a submission. As I typed that Rogan said that word for word (that's funny) Rio is looking for an armbar here and he almost has it. He loses it and now Cofer is in top position. Cofer is throwing punches in the top position and Rio is going for another armbar and it's locked in this time. Looks very painful oh wow, and there's the submission

Winner via Armbar @ 4:11 of Rd 3 - Mike Rio

Cofer could only tapout with his fingers as the arm was so locked up. We are rushing to the next fight as we are at the 6:30 mark

Bantamweight Division - Reuben Duran vs Hugo Viana

A fast three minutes so far everytime i go to type something i miss three things. Viana rocks Duran again and again and third times the charm as Duran goes down and the ref dives in to make the save. That was a great right hand by Viana, early contender there for KO of the night

Winner via KO @ 4:05 of Rd 1 - Hugo Viana

After a lengthy break we are back for the FUEL TV portion of the card

Welterweight Division - TJ Waldburger vs Nick Catone

I have to point out that Catone's nickname is the "New Jersey Devil" (Really? NHL on Line 1)

TJ has pinned Catone against the cage over and over again, not much action in the first two minutes. TJ is just imposing his will here. Catone able to flip TJ onto his back and now we are both back to the feet with Catone pinning TJ against the cage now. TJ is on his back trying for a kimura here and Catone is now out. One minute left and Catone is back pinning TJ against the cage. TJ now in control, these two are going back and forth for position with mere seconds left on the clock. There's the horn with Catone on top. 10-9 Catone but TJ could have stolen that one

Second round was very fast, both fighters trade shots with TJ rocking Catone then TJ went for the choke and then Catone went down and TJ switched to a Triangle, Catone passed out

Winner via Submission (Triangle Choke) @ 1:04 of Rd 2 - TJ Waldburger

Wow you can really tell the venue is really small, the crowd in the background is very quiet during the interview. Apparently it can only hold 4,000, here's the seating chart (http://thejointlasvegas.com/Images/Seating-Chart/joint_wec.aspx)

Lightweight Division - Vinc Pichel vs Rustam Khabilov

Vinc Pichel you might remember is from TUF LIVE, Khabilov is from New Mexico and he has a big logo of Alienware (kinda funny)

Khabilov takes down Pichel but Pichel gets back to his feet only to have Khabilov suplex him back to the mat. Pichel back up and another suplex. Khabilov is all over Pichel in the early going. There's another suplex by Khabilov and it's over?? He landed on his head and then Khabilov lands 5 uncontested punches and the ref calls the fight.

Winner via KO @ 2:15 of Rd 1 - Rustam Khabilov

Khabilov's twitter handle is just a string of numbers

Some breaking news as the scheduled fight tonight between Jaime Varner and Melvin Guillard has been cancelled because Varner is sick and cannot compete.

Bantamweight Division - Johnny Bedford vs Marcos Vinicius

Bedford catches a leg and slams Vinicius only to get trapped in a choke and almost got tapped. Bedford escapes and is now in top control while Vinicius keeps going for that choke. Both fighters get to their feet and trade blows until Bedford tags Vinicius and gets top position again and after a brief scramble we are back to the feet. Bedford has Vinicius pinned against the cage as the round ends. Bedford 10-9 in a close round to score

Second round starts and gets stopped 30 seconds into the round as Bedford gets hit by a low blow. We are back and within seconds of trading blows Bedford is tagging Vinicius with shots and that's the fight. In fact, Bedford kicked Vinicius in that barrage but it was to the body which is legal. Amazing quick recovery to victory here for Bedford

Winner via KO @ 1:00 of Rd 2 - Johnny Bedford

We have an interview backstage with Melvin Guillard who explains what happened today. Apparently Varner's camp was accusing Guillard's camp of greasing and then 20 mins later he found out that via Joe Silva the fight had been cancelled

Welterweight Division -  Mike Pyle vs James Head

One minute gone and Head is winning the striking so far. This is a fight of two guys who are going to bang, I don't think this one will go to the ground any time soon. Thai clinch by Pyle and after two great knees Head crumbles to the ground and with some quick punches by Pyle the fight is stopped.

Winner via TKO @ 1:55 of Rd 1 - Mike Pyle

We have 15 minutes before the main card on FX, we go back to the studio after the post fight interview with Pyle.

Here we go with the main card

Featherweight Division - Jonathan Brookins vs Dustin Poirier

Slugfest in the first minute with Brookins landing the better strikes. After Brookins pins Poirier to the fence we get another slugfest, very exciting 2 minutes to start the fight. Poirier now pushing the pace here in the striking department. Brookins gets rocked although it could have been a slip and Poirier goes in for a choke only to pin him against the cage, some more strikes and now Brookins is in a D'arce choke and it's deep....it's over

Winner via submission (D'arce Choke) @ 4:15 - Dustin Poirier

ChucK Liddell is in attendance tonight

Looks like we might be getting a replay of the Pichel vs Khabilov fight

Heavyweight Division - Pat Barry vs Shane Del Rosario

Both fighters getting their timing down and now SDR has Barry against the fence. Barry working on a neck crank but gives it up. Typical HW fight here lots of stalling against the cage. Both are back to the center now, this should be good. SDR shoots for a takedown but Barry able to defend, no wait SDR is able to take him down and gets Barry's back. SDR is working the choke and gets a hook in. Barry is out but SDR still has his back and that hook as well. SDR transitions to an armbar. Now switched to his Barry's back. Barry is able to get side control on SDR as the horn sounds. 10-9 SDR

Here's the second round and both fighters are getting their timing down and Barry tags SDR, SDR is staggering backwards, Barry lands 3 shots and the 4th was the KO shot and the ref calls the fight

Winner via KO @ 0:26 of Rd. 2 - Pat Barry

Barry is very emotional during the post fight interview

Looks like it's confirmed UFC 158 - GSP vs Nick Diaz, also MacDonald vs Condit and Ellenberger vs Hendricks

They are going to replay the Pyle vs Head Fight

Welterweight Division - TUF 16 Finals - Colton Smith vs Mike Ricci

It's USA vs Canada, HERE WE GO

This is a very quick pace so far, Smith has Ricci in a body lock and is now pressed up against the cage. Takedown by Smith but Ricci is slowly getting up. Smith has Ricci's back but they are both in a standing position. Colton now has a body lock in a seated position and is working a choke on Ricci. Ricci gets out and now we are back in the middle of the cage. Smith has Ricci pinned up against the cage with less than a minute to go in this round. Another takedown by Smith and it looks like both fighters are just grinding out the round. 10-9 Smith

Opening seconds of the round and Smith gets a low blow on Ricci and the ref (Mazagatti) does not call it so Smith advances and Ricci is saying "Low Blow" and Smith apoligizes and the ref isn't stopping it. Smith continues to pin Ricci against the cage. Smith gets Ricci's back again and tries for the choke but Ricci gets out and gets back to his feet. Smith able to take down Ricci again and gets his back and is working for the choke again. Everytime Ricci starts to get away, Smith is there to put him back down. 10-9 Smith. Ricci is going to have to swing for the fences here to win

Smith shoots for a takedown and pins Ricci against the cage again. It's wash rinse repeat in Round 3 in this fight. Same old script here and Smith is going for that choke over and over again. The crowd is not pleased and the boo birds have come out in force. Ricci finally does something and takes Colton's back. Ricci works an armbar but Smith escapes and there's the horn. 30-27 on my card for Smith

Winner via UD (30-27 x 2, 30-26) and TUF 16 Winner - Colton Smith

I wonder if that missed low blow by Mazagatti will be brought up at the post-fight press conference. The rep from Harley was talking and Colton was blowing him off as he was speaking as he was shaking hands with his team mates. He's excited I get that but when Dana White has to tell you to turn around and listen to the guy giving you a free bike...come on man

Main Event - Heavyweight Division - Roy Nelson vs Matt Mitrione

Apparently Roy Nelson is a Kung Fu Fighter

Slow start to this one as Nelson has Mitrione pinned against the cage. Back to the center with 3 minutes left in the round. This is now a slug fest and Nelson is tagging Mitrione, why is Mitrione slugging away with Nelson. Nelson connects with a few punches and down goes Mitrione. The ref stops the fight not a moment too soon

Winner via TKO @ 2:58 - Roy Nelson

That's it for me, don't forget to tune into Glove Up or Shut Up every Wednesday night and I always say "Never Leave It To The Judges"

Good Night Everybody
