Sheamus says he understands why he did it, but then starts to unload his frustration. Booker T cuts him off and says, "If you want to wipe that smirk off of Big Show's face, then beat him...". He picks up a chair, hands it to Sheamus and finishes with, "Beat him with this," and walks away.

WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres joins Scott & Matt at the announcers table. Most of the divas are dressed in various red-and-white striped outfits, but Natalya Neidhardt is wearing a cute pink and white polka-dot dress, and Alicia Fox is wearing a furry reindeer costume, including furry hoodie with antlers. Almost immediately Natalya Neidhardt was thrown out of the ring but stays on the apron. Rosa Mendez tries to kick her off, and Nattie ends up dumping her off the apron. Nattie then goes after Kaitlyn, but all the action stops as Camon and Naomi hit somebody (didn't see who) with a pair of leg drops. Cameron and Aksana are eliminated shortly after. Kaitlyn starts to go on a tear, helping to eliminate Nattie and Layla. Tamina goes after Naomi with a Samoan Drop after dropkicking Kaitlyn. She picks up Kaitlyn and attempts to dump her over the top rope, Kaitlyn holds on with a headlock, then starts dragging Tamina over. Tables Match for #1 Contender to the WWE Tag Team Championship:
Rey Mysterio, Jr & Sin Cara vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow)

Team Rhodes Scholars delivers a great promo as they walk to the ring. The bell rings and Sandow pairs off with Mysterio, Rhodes with Sin Cara. All four men will be in the ring, no tagging requited. Mysterio quickly throws Rhodes out of the ring with a head scissor, then helps Sin Cara team up on Sandow to throw him out. Mysterio & Cara pull a table out from under the ring, use it to clothesline both men in the ring. The table is set up, Sin Cara goes to the top rope as Sandow is laid on the table, but Rhodes makes the save, attacking Mysterio and throwing him out of the ring from under the bottom rope. Rhodes & Sandow double-team Sin Cara, still stuck on the top turnbuckle. Sandow pulls Sin Cara off, Rhodes stomps him in the corner. Rhodes & Sandow picks up Sin Cara to try to suplex him through the table, Sin Cara is able to wiggle out, throw out Sandow, and then Mysterio comes back in to move the the table out of the way. Rhodes hits the Disaster Kick on Sin Cara, Sandow throws Mysterio face-first into the ring post on the outside. Rhodes Scholars single out Sin Cara again, kicking and punching before throwing him out of the ring. Sandow focuses on Mysterio again, throwing him head- and shoulder-first into any solid object he can find. Rhodes sets up Sin Cara so his leg is stuck behind the steel ring steps, wedged against the ring post. Sandow grabs a table and slams it into the steps, damaging Sin Cara's legs.

Sandow goes back on the attack against Mysterio as Rhodes pulls out another table, then yet another, setting them up side-by-side on the floor. Fans erupt in a "CO-DY'S MUS-TACHE!" chant. Mysterio & Sin Cara are laid out on the table, Sandow & Rhodes get in the ring, and Sandow is planning to launch Rhodes over the top rope into the duo and finish them off. Mysteiro recovers, pulls Sandow out of the ring, hits a seated senton on Rhodes, hurracanrana on Sandow, headscissor takeover on Rhodes to send him out of the ring followed by a seated senton off the apron. Sin Cara flies in and attacks Sandow with a cross-body block from the top rope, followed by a hurracanrana that sends Sandow out of the ring. Sin Cara follow up with a vicious tope that sees Sin Cara hitting the retaining wall around the ring head-first. Back in the ring, Rhodes tries to powerbomb Mysterio through the table, Mysterio escapes it, sets up Rhodes for the 6-1-9, connects, lays Rhodes out on the table in the ring. Mysterio climbs to the top turnbuckle, and Sandow makes the save by pulling Mysterio off, racking him on the top turnbuckle. Rhodes is shoved off the table, and Rhodes Scholars take the table to smack Mysteiro in the head, knocking him to the floor. Sin Cara in, enziguri on Sandow, Rhodes whips him off the ropes, Sin Cara holds on, drops Rhodes over the top rope, then kicks him in the head. Cara charges Sandow, who tries to backdrop him over the top rope, but Cara holds on to the ropes and kicks Sandow in the head. Sin Cara attempts to slingshot himself into the ring to hit Sandow, but Rhodes charges forward as Sin Cara leaps, shoves him backwards, and Sin Cara sails back across the rope and crashes into a table on the floor, breaking it in half.

WINNER & #1 CONTENDER FOR THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP, TEAM RHODES SCHOLARS. A fantastic opening bout, very rarely do I give a match top ratings, but utilizing my old but well-tested RATE-O-MATIC scale, this was a solid 5 out of 5!

We cut to the promo from The Shield - Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reins - that aired on WWE Monday Night Raw last week.

WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: champion Antonio Cesaro vs R-Truth

As the match starts, Michael Cole points out that R-Turth owns two wins over Cesaro recently, one in a non-title match and one in a tag team match. Cesaro starts out with a side headlock, shoved into the ropes, knocks down R-Truth with a shoulder block, goes for a pin, and then back to a standing side headlock. R-Truth shoves him off the ropes again, Cesaro runs the ropes, R-Truth tries a hip toss, is blocked, then goes for a single leg takedown into a roll-up for a two count, then goes for it again, then applies a side headlock takedown on the champion. Cesaro picks up R-Truth and drops him on his head with a belly-to-back suplex. Cesaro mounts R-Truth, punches him in the head, headbutts him. R-Truth gets back to his feet, reels off rights, bounces off the ropes, Cesaro clotheslines him, pin, R-Truth immediately kicks out.

Cesaro looks to slow down the action with a side headlock on the mat, converting into an attempted D'Arce Choke, but doesn't have it locked in as R-Truth is able to fight through it. R-Truth gets to his feet after a few minutes, Cesaro throws him head-first into one turnbuckle, then another. R-Truth gives as good as he gets, though, then reels off a series of punches on Cesaro, is whipped off the ropes, reverses it, scissor kick to the back of the head, pin attempt for a two count. R-Truth whips Cesaro off the ropes, leg lariat, two count on the pin. R-Truth tries to pick up Cesaro for a suplex, Cesaro wiggles out of it, throws R-Truth int he corner, hits an uppercut to the back of the head, then quickly sets up and takes out R-Truth with the Neutralizer.

WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION, ANTONIO CESARO. Matt Striker in the ring and asks him for his reaction to the negative response from the audience. Cesaro takes the mic, shoves Striker away and speaks, "Unlike America, I am a true international superpower! I am the greatest United States Champion, you are booing your own country. You have no respect for your fellow citizens or for yourself." Cesaro then reels off something in a foreign language as his music starts to play.

Backstage interview with Josh Matthews and "Mr. Money in the Bank" Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler complains that if Cena wins their match tonight, he'll win an award that he already won and lost, and if Ziggler wins, he gets to keep what is already his. Ziggler predicts that Cena will not be able to keep his focus as Dolph himself rises as a WWE superstar. "Mark my words, tonight everything changes!"

Where do you get off calling us a train wreck?", to which Miz replies, "Where do you get off calling yourself a band!"  McIntyre says that they're bigger than Jay-Z. Slater follows up, "The Rolling Stones, they WISH they could rock out with 3MB! Everybody needs to hear this: tomorrow night at the Slammy Awards, 3MB will perform LIVE, BABY!"  Miz responds, "'That's great news!' said nobody ever!" Miz calls them the bathroom break of the show. Jinder Mahal then points out the Spanish announcing team and starts calling them out, with Jinder leading the charge, "In America, we speak American!"  They start to shove around the announcers. Ricardo Rodriguez then runs in and tries to stop them, but they shove him around as well. This causes Alberto Del Rio to come in and try to save his manservant, which only leads to 3MB beating him down. The Miz actually comes to Del Rio's rescue. 3MB retreats, Slater takes a mic and challenges Miz and Del Rio to a six-man tag later tonight Miz responds, "That's not a problem!" as the fans start chanting, "WE WANT RYDER!".

Kane asks if everything is set, Bryan says it is, but he finds Kane to be easier to talk to. Kane asks for an explanation, and DB says he finds it difficult to deal with Ryback constantly repeating "Feed me more!", and Kane replies, "Are you KIDDING me?" Kane says that it's not important what Ryback says, but what he does, and if he wants more, they'll feed him The Shield. Bryan starts shouting, "YES! YES! YES!"

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: champion "the Wildcat" Kofi Kingston vs. Wade Barrett

Elsewhere backstage, Matt Striker interviews Wade Barrett about his upcoming match. C.M. Punk promo

Justin Roberts directs our attention to the skybox section where WWE Champion C.M. Punk and manager Paul Heyman are sitting. Punk stands up and takes a mic, stating, "Well, well, well. Apparently everybody here and around the world wants a status report on my knee. Tell 'em, Paul!" Heyman replies, "FUHGETABOUT IT!" Punk continues on. "Now for everybody watching at home who doesn't understand the ignorant lingo of these Brooklynites, it's none of their business. But it's very hard for me to wake up in my home in Chicago and have to come here in front of these... animals! Boo all you want, but if you don't want to be called animals then maybe you should leave and not reside int he slums of Staten Island. Each and every one of you and Ryback have a ton in common. Neither of you don't understand what it means to be a champion. Each and every one of you are dumb. I apologize for telling you the facts. Ryback is dumb and lucky. He's dumb because he's injured me to a point where I can't compete for my title tonight, and he's lucky BECAUSE he injured me to the point where I can't compete tonight. You want to put a weapon in MY hand? My record in TLC matches speaks for itself. I would have smashed him through every single table in New York. This isn't me bragging or boasting, this is me separating fact from fiction, unlike you and Ryback who live in a fantasy world. Fiction is the idea that Ryback is an unstoppable force, the truth is that Ryback is just a man that I've already beaten. And tonight the Shield, of whom I have no affiliation with, is going to beat him tonight. Here's another fact: I am the longest-reigning WWE Champion of the modern era The fact is, nobody is going to take this title away from me, because nobody can. I started 2012 as the WWE Champion, and I will end it as such. And the scary thing is that I'm JUST getting started!"

LADDER MATCH FOR THE "MONEY IN THE BANK" BRIEFCASE: "Mr. Money in the Bank" Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena

Both men are stationed in opposite corners. They come together, collar-and-elbow tie-up. Ziggler shoves Cena into the ropes, Cena takes him down with a shoulder block, and Ziggler sits and thinks about it for a minute. They stand up, circle the ring again, another lockup, Ziggler with a side headlock. Cena shoves him off and Ziggler delivers the shoulder block. Cena stands up and gives him a nod of respect. Fans start loudly chanting, "LET'S GO ZIGGLER!" as they lock up again, Cena with the side headlock, Ziggler whips him off the ropes, duck-under, float-over, Cena with a hiptoss into a side headlock takeover. Fans start booing and then start a "YOU CAN'T WRES-TLE!" chant with a dueling, "YES HE CAN!" counter. Ziggler escapes, applies a headlock to Cena, Cena escapes and executes a Fisherman's Suplex, whips Ziggler into the corner, charges and whips him out with a monkey flip, then grabs Ziggler by the head and flat out throws him through the ropes to the outside, and then bows before the fans, eliciting a mix of cheers and boos. Cena goes outside, and Ziggler surprises him with a chair into the ribcage, laying hi out flat. Ziggler throws him back in, grabs a chair, tosses it in as well. Ziggler back in, wedges the chair between the top and middle rope as the fans cheer for him. Ziggler turns around and finds Cena waiting for him with a Flapjack. Cena rolls out of the ring and pulls out a ladder from under it. Ziggler with a baseball slide dropkick into the table, knocks down Cena, loud pop from t he crowd. Ziggler picks up the ladder and throws it in the ring, setting up for the briefcase. Cena runs in, dropkicks Ziggler, picks up the ladder and hits him in the head with it.

Cena's bleeding from somewhere around his right eye. Ziggler rolls out of the ring, Cena follows him out and then throws Ziggler across the remaining announcer's table. Cena starts to pull apart the ring steps, then stops, then pulls the top off of it and picks it up, running it head-first into Ziggler. Ref checks on Ziggler's condition as Cena pulls out a table from under the ring, and slide it inside to set it up. Jerry Lawler asks if Cena's forgotten that this is a LADDER MATCH. Ziggler hasn't, as he gets on the apron, waits for Cena to come over, then grabs his head and snaps it over the ropes. Ziggler sets up the ladder and goes up, Cena pulls him off, and both men start trading right hands, then trading knees to the ribs, giving as good as they get. Ziggler ducks under Cena's swing, leaps on his back and goes for the Sleeper Hold. Cena wildly swings around, collapses to a knee, then reaches deep to stand back up and attempt to climb the ladder. Cena makes it up four rungs before he starts to slow down, trying to reach for the briefcase, falling short. Cena passes out and falls backwards, crashing Ziggler through the table, both men are out!

Ziggler recovers first, starts to climb the ladder. Cena recovers and decides to just pick up the ladder - with Ziggler on it - into a Gorilla Press Slam! Ziggler wiggles off, Cena sets him up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Ziggler escapes and hits the Zig Zag instead. Ziggler grabs another ladder from under the ring, slides it in, Cena runs over and grabs him by the leg, flips him over and applies the STF. At first, you'd think that Cena forgot that he can't win by submission, but Ziggler reaches for the rope and pounds away for mercy, but no ref is going to break that up either! Ziggler quickly passes out. Cena picks up the ladder, looks to set it up, but then waits for Ziggler to get up and charges. Ziggler is on the apron, he ducks under the ladder and shoulders Cena in the ribs, forcing him to drop the ladder. Ziggler tries to slingshot in, Cena picks him up into the Attitude Adjustment, Ziggler wiggles out and hits the Blonde Ambition! Ziggler attempts to set up the ladder, Cena cuts him off, but eats another Blonde Ambition. Ziggler goes out of the ring, recovers yet another ladder, and sets it up. Ziggler climbs up, Cena recovers and climbs up, they trade punches near the top of the ladder, then reverse elbows, then headbutts. Cena gets the better of it, Ziggler falls off the ladder face-first!

Cena resumes his climb to the top, slowly, reaching with every step. Ziggler recovers, climbs up the ladder on Cena's side, clubs him in the back and they both back down. Cena kicks Ziggler in the stomach, throws him in the corner, Ziggler kicks him back, grabs Cena by the head and sends him head-first into the standing ladder, Ziggler staggering backwards, both men exhausted. Ziggler demands that Cena stand up, holding his fist. Ziggler swings, Cena ducks it and then hits a hurracanrana on Ziggler, sending him crashing through a table wedged in the corner! It wasn't pretty as the luchadores, but it was one none the less!  Cena picks up the ladder, and Ziggler hits a desperation dropkick to take them both down. Cena hauls off on Ziggler, puts him in the corner, punches him, sets Ziggler on the top turnbuckle. Ziggler fights back, headbutts Cena and knocks him on his ass, Ziggler is reeling on the top turnbuckle. Ziggler stands up, connects on a cross-body block, but Cena holds on, rolls through and tries to turn it into an Attitude Adjustment. Ziggler reaches out to the chair he wedged in the corner at the start, pulls it out and beats Cena in the knee with it until he collapses! Ziggler is clearing the ring of all objects now and looks around a cheering arena while waiting for Cena to get up. Ziggler charges with a Superkick, Cena ducks it and quickly hits him with the Attitude Adjustment, Ziggler falls out of the ring!

WWE Raw General Manager Vickie Guerreo runs out with a chair, demanding Cena stand up. Suddenly AJ Lee runs down to stop her, hits a belly-to-back suplex, then imitates the Five Knuckle Shuffle which Vickie BADLY BADLY BADLY sells and rolls out of the ring. Cena gets back int he ring with a ladder, and AJ Lee starts skipping around the ring... AND THEN SHOVES OVER THE LADDER AS HE'S CLIMBING IT!!!

THIS CROWD JUST WENT NUTS!! NUTS!!!  Ziggler gets int he ring, grabbing his hair, not sure of what happened. AJ Lee looks over at him with a blank look, then flashes him a cheesey grin and skips to the back. Ziggler quickly realizes that his time is now, he sets the ladder backup, quickly scales the ladder and secures the briefcase.

WINNER, AND *STILL* MR. MONEY IN THE BANK, DOLPH ZIGGLER.   Ziggler lets out a loud roar and celebrates as he goes to the back. Cena sits in the ring, shaking his head at what just happened.
