Join us for LIVE coverage of Invicta FC 6: Cyborg vs. Coenen II starting tonight at 7 PM Eastern, 6 Central! When the recap begins you can hit F5 or refresh for more updates. You can find the full card at InvictaFC.com and read my Invicta FC 6 preview on Wrestling Observer while waiting for the fights to begin. We'll also have post-fight press conference videos at YouTube.com/angrymarksdotcom right after the event ends. Subscribe now so you don't miss them!

Dave Meltzer is reporting that UFC President Dana White will make a "major announcement" tonight and that it's likely the date and location for Weidman vs. Silva II. (WO)

@RyanNPike Per SportsCenter, #UFC168 has Silva/Weidman and Tate/Rousey on top. Dec. 28 in Vegas.

@angrymarks For those who didn't hear the InvictaFC6 card has a change: Kathina Catron replaces Cassie Robb on preliminary portion of card. #MMA

@ArielHelwani Just spoke to @danawhite about THE rematch. I asked if he thinks this card will generate more PPV buys than UFC 100. He said: "I'll tell you this: think it will be the biggest PPV we've ever done," but he stopped short at making a # prediction. He was excited. He also said that after meeting with Anderson face-to-face that he's never seen him like this before. "That dude wants to fight," he said.

@Sempervive At least 1.5 million PPV buys for Weidman-Silva II. The show has too much going for it - and that doesn't even count the semi-main event.

For more MMA news here's a sneak peak at Sunday morning's update.

7:00 PM ET. The opening video package promoting the PPV fights is rolling in the venue right now and presumably on InvictaFC.com and The Fight Network as well. Our first preliminary fight should be up in a few minutes! Mauro Ranallo is promising that the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City will show us the very best of women's MMA yet again tonight, as "we make history with the first ever all women's MMA PPV on (traditional) PPV." On his left is Julie Kedzie, who says that Cyborg's name sums up everything you need to know about her. On his right is King Mo Lawal, who thinks the last Coenen vs. Cyborg fight got stopped too soon. "She's got to establish her size. She needs to set a pace that will be too much for Cyborg to handle." Ranallo reminds us Carla Esparza can't fight tonight, so two undefeated fighters - Hamasaki and Gaedelha - will be vying for a title shot against her.

Prelims:

* Atomweight: Kathina Catron vs. Livia von Plettenberg

7:06 PM ET. Joe Martinez just did an in-ring introduction for Invicta before the video screen flashed Kathina Catron's name. She's from Telequah, Oklahoma. Her opponent von Plettenberg is from Vienna, Austria and appropriately comes out to a European song I've never heard before. Catron is 3-0 and 123 pounds for this fight. von Plettenberg is 1-1 and also 123 pounds. Our referee in charge is Mike Englund. Here we go!

Both fighters are wearing black but Catron has a full tank top and von Plettenberg has a sports bra and trunks. von Plettenberg gets the takedown 45 seconds in and works her way to half guard. If her left leg wasn't trapped she'd have had full mount. She drops some elbows and then gets caught in a possible sub but escapes and takes her back. She's going for a rear naked now. Catron manages to sweep and get on top. 2:45 gone. von Plettenberg is back up at 3:20 and she's throwing knees. Catron escapes the clinch and they start banging it out. Catron wants to put her out with a right but she's sailed wide twice. She takes her down on a body kick at 4:30 and can probably convince a judge or two she won the round, although there's another near submission right at the bell. It was close!

R2 is underway at 7:17 ET. von Plettenberg goes for a body clinch and leg trip but as they go to the ground Catron winds up on top in guard. One little kid in the crowd keeps screaming DON'T GIVE UP. They stand at 50 seconds. (I think that same kid was here for Invicta FC 5 too - sitting right behind us in press row.) von Plettenberg gets a takedown at 1:20 and is in half guard. Her corner is calling for a head & arm choke. She gets full mount and takes her back and now she's got 3 whole minutes to work. Catron escapes a sub at the three minute mark and gets a round of applause. Englund shows no sign of wanting to stand them up which I am fine with since this is a dominant position for von Plettenberg, even though the action has stalled a little. At 4:03 Catron once again manages to sweep her way to the top and at 4:14 they are standing again. Bombs are being thrown until there's another takedown at 4:30 putting Catron on the ground. I feel like von Plettenberg is pulling ahead, which you'd expect since Catron took this on short notice.

Both ladies tap gloves to open the third round at 7:23. Catron does a nice job of eluding 2-3 takedown attempts - she's not finished yet! von Plettenberg is more than happy to tie up with her and trade knees. This kid in the crowd calling out moves is awesome - the whole press row is talking about him. von Plettenberg is stalled on the fence and eats a couple of rights as they break at the 2 minute + mark. They've both reset in the center looking for something. von Plettenberg tries to push her into the fence but can't keep her there. She eats a body kick and shoots and now has Catron pushed into the chain link. 2 minutes left in our opening bout. von Plettenberg wants an inside leg trip but can't get it. She drops for the double and gets it - the crowd lets out an audible OHHHH of disappointment. They are pulling for her - probably because of the kid calling things out for her. 4:10. von Plettenberg is trying to keep her on the ground but Catron keeps squirming around. 15 seconds. von Plettenberg holds in in half and punches the body, getting back up just before the bell. I think she takes this 29-28 or 30-27. von Plattenberg wins 30-27, 29-28 X2. They run a video package hyping up the laurels of Invicta with comments from Pat Barry among others.

* Strawweight: Ashley Cummins vs. Emily Kagen

Kagen is first out at 7:37 ET and her entrance music is "American Woman." She hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico. The St. Louis native Cummins comes out to Nelly in response - a good choice! She's wearing black Fear the Fighter gear head to toe. Kagen is wearing white trunks. Joe Martinez does our introductions again. Kagen is 5'3", 115.25 and 2-1 overall. Cummins is 5'3", 116 pounds, 3-1 overall. Our referee is Greg Franklin. Here we go!

Both girls are trading leather early. Cummins is pressing her toward the fence and trying to find an angle. Cummins has the nickname 'Smashley' and you can see why. They tie up knees and elbows are exchanged. 90 seconds gone. Cummins continues to come at Kagen with her hands, and she's got power in her right. She's got Kagen in the fence now right in front of press row throwing elbows. Her corner tells her NOT to drop levels for a takedown and she listens, staying on the feet throwing knees. They finally break apart at 2:55. Within a matter of seconds Cummins is backing her up again - Kagen seems very content to work on the outside and counter. Cummins wings a left hook that misses. Kagen's striking is improving through the round. Cummins' corner is screaming that she hurt Kagen with a strike. She immediately rushes her into the fence. 30 seconds left. It ends on the feet. Fairly even on striking but Cummins controlled the cage so I give her the 10-9.

R2 is underway at 7:47 ET and they are banging immediately. Both women settle in and there's a slip on a kick and a momentary flurry on the ground before both women get back up. Kagen just jacked Cummins with a right and her corner is excited. Cummins wings that left hook again. Kagen responds with a hard body kick. Those kicks are helping her keep Cummins at range. The left hook finally lands. Another kick. Cummins finally throws a leg kick of her own. 2:30. KAGEN STUNS HER WITH A SHOT but Cummins recovers quickly. Both women are on the fence now fighting for a dominant position. The push toward the ceter and CUMMINS JUMPS ON KAGEN'S BACK. She's trying to get the hooks in but Kagen won't let her and she slips off! Cummins goes for it a second time at 4:05 and she's got it. She's working hard for a submission but she's riding high. Kagen's corner is yelling SHAKE OUT with 30 seconds to go. I think Kagen will survive this - and in fact she's on top throwing 'bows right at the bell.

R3 is underway at 7:54 ET. Cummins runs to the center right away and Kagen stays on the outside. I really like Kagen's striking - the more of it I see the better it gets. She lands a nice knee to the body but Cummins tries to shoot off it. Kagen has really good balance, fends it off, and throws some elbows to the head. The ref warns her to keep it legal. Cummins is like a pitbull though and won't give up. 90 seconds. She finally gets away at 1:55 and circles away from Cummins' power. Kagen is working the leg kicks again and needs to do more of that to score with the judges since Cummins looks like the aggressor. Cummins appears to have hurt Kagen with a shot but it was just out of my view. Kagen keeps on kicking. 3:30 gone. Cummins lands a shot and puts Kagen in the fence again. If she could get a takedown here that could change the whole fight - Kagen gets away though. Cummins with a body kick. 4:30. Cummins puts her in the fence again and lands some good knees before the bell. I think she'll get the 29-28 but the opposite or a split decision would be no shock.

The judges score this fight 30-27 Kagen (really?) 29-28 Cummins and 30-27 split dec for Kagen! That's whacky. The judges saw COMPLETELY different fights. I honestly could give either girl two rounds, but there's no way I think Kagen won all three.

* Catchweight: (150 lbs.) Ediane Gomes vs. Tamikka Brents

TAMIKKA BRENTS FIGHT IS CANCELED. She had a knee injury in warm-ups. Prelims are over! Time to hit the loo or do what you gotta do!

PPV:

* Strawweight: Tecia Torres vs. Rose Namajunas

9:00 PM ET. It's PPV time! To open the broadcast they air the same Mauro Ranallo, Julie Kedzie and King Mo package they filmed during prelims. Tecia Torres from Coconut Creek, Florida is the first to come out and she gets a big pop from the crowd. She's wearing a black top and trunks. Rose Namajunas hails from Minneapolis and is also wearing a two piece, dominant color gray with yellow highlights. As a 'Thug Rose' she comes out to STARING THRU MY REARVIEW by 2Pac. Love it! 'Tiny Terror' Torres is 2-0 and Namajunas is 2-0 as well. Our referee in charge for this fight Big John McCarthy. Here we go!

Opening bell is at 9:12 ET. The fight has already gone longer than Thug Rose's last bout at Invicta FC 5. Torres has good leg kicks but Namajunas goes for an arm bar and loses it then gets blasted in the face REPEATEDLY with rights. They stand back up at 1:10 and the crowd applauds the early action. Thug Rose lands a hard left but she's backing away from a flurry. 2 minutes gone so far. Rose lands a right, and another. Torres has a tough chin! Leg kick by Rose. They trade kicks and she misses with the left then pops the right. Torres is tasting her power and doesn't mind the buffet. Not yet. Another leg kick by Torres and Rose closes the distance. The crowd pops for every exchange between the two. 3:30 gone. Leg kicks are traded. Thug Rose checks a head kick and then jumps guard for an armbar but one again she's getting blasted in the face - SHE ROLLS FOR IT THOUGH AND SHE HAS IT IN DEEP AND THE CCROWD IS SCREAMING SHE HAS IT ON FOR 20 SECONDS OR MORE BUT TORRES GETS OUT OF IT WITH 30 SECONDS LEFT. Big John gives a warning for something as they stand back up. Torres rushes toward the fence and has the better of the last exchange before the bell. WILD first round!

R2 is underway at 9:18 ET. Both girls are standing center and refusing to give ground. Rose backs away from a couple of hard leg kicks. I think she's a little surprised it got to a second round. She lands a body kick, Torres lands a leg kick. 1:10. Rose is trying to hold the center but she eats a spin kick. Hard left hook connects. Torres keeps returning to center and at 1:50 she unloads a nice combo. Rose is throwing single punches trying to land a home run. Sweep kick misses. Leg kick lands. Head kick by Torres is checked. 2:30. Rose gets too low with that left hook. I think Torres has figured it out. Her hands are higher and she's connecting more. The crowd pops every flurry she throws. Rose seems to have a hitch in her step now and I think she's in a haze. If she gets out of this round her corner needs to wake her up qick. Torres catches a body kick and throws her down at 4 minutes then lets her back up, although she runs around Big John instead of waiting for his instructions. He looks a little peeved. Torres puts Rose against the fence and lands a lot of shots. Shots, shots, shots, shots shots shots. 15 seconds left. Rose knocks her down with a kick but can't get anything out of it before the bell.

Third round opens at 9:24 ET with an introduction from Joe Martinez. Thrust kick to the body by Torres. Of the two I'm pretty sure she has more in the gas tank but Rose keeps trying to walk her down. She's throwing kicks and circling. Rose pops her with a right. Kicks are traded. Rose goes for a takedown and winds up on top at 1:24 but she's having a hard time turning in to establish the position. She finally gets half guard at 1:47 and it's her best position of the fight. Torres is tying her up and not letting her do much with it. She backs out and Torres tries to land an upkick but Rose jumps back on. 2:30. Torres' corner wants McCarthy to call for more work but that's as his discretion and he's not exercising it. Rose backs out again at 3:33 AND DOES EAT AN UPKICK but jumps back into full guard. She's landing some elbows and ground strikes now and those will help on the scorecard. She starts to stand up again and Torres traps an arm and pulls hard trying to get a sub but Rose pops out and takes her back down to half guard at 4:37. That extra takedown definitely makes this Rose's round - but did she win the fight? The judges will decide.

DECISION COMES AT 9:31 ET - 30-27, 29-28 X2 ALL FOR THE STILL UNDEFEATED TECIA TORRES. I'd question the 30-27, but 29-28 for Torres sounds right. Rose definitely won the third, but hey, the right girl won on the cards. Thug Rose tried a lot of things, but they didn't work, and by the second round she was flatfooted and being outstruck. She only won the third by being able to hold Torres down.

* Bantamweight: Miriam Nakamoto vs. Duda Yankovich

Rio de Janeiro's Duda Yankovich comes out to a techno remix of "Mad World." She's wearing red trunks and a black top. Dublin, California's Nakamoto comes out with a lot of swagger in her step and her anthem is Rihanna - everyone in the crowd is singing along to YUP, YOU KNOW THIS with each bar. She's in a white top and trunks. Joe introduces both fighters at 9:38 ET. 5'6", 134.75 pounds, 1-1 is Yankovich. Nakamoto is 5'9", 135.5 pounds, 1-0-1 NC. Our referee is Mike Englund. Here we go!

Opening bell at 9:40 ET. Nakamoto and Duda spin on the fence. Duda throws body punches and Nakamoto throws knees until she spins around and cracks Duda with a big right elbow that electrifies the crowd. Duda is going for a single leg but can't get it and eats some more hard knees. ANOTHER KNEE DROPS HER AND THE GROUND AND POUND FOLLOWS BUT DUDA GRABS A LEG AND THEY ROLL. Nakamoto winds up on her back at 1:55 and unloads more damage when she tries to stand UNTIL MIKE ENGLAND MAKES THE SAVE AFTER A JUMPING RIGHT KNEE PUT DUDA OUT. Hell of a finish! We'll wait for Joe Martinez to make it official. 2:08 OF R1 VIA TKO FOR THE WINNER AND STILL UNDEFEATED MIRIAM NAKAMOTO!!

* Strawweight: Bec Hyatt vs. Mizuki Inoue

Toyohashi, Japan's Inoue is coming out to "Bangarang" by Skrillex. I have a feeling this building is going to come unglued when Bec Hyatt comes out. Inoue has on camou trunks and a black shirt. Big John and the crew are carefully inspecting her gloves and everything else before they let her in. Sure enough they popped just for her name on the video screen. "I'm doing it for the thrill, I'm doing it for the kill" suddenly speeds up to a techno remix. Hyatt is wearing a pink bodysuit and has her brightly colored mohawk as usual. They erupt again when she steps in the cage. Joe Martinez intros at 9:49 ET after the crowd chants AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OY OY OY. 5'4", 113.25 pounds, 5-1 is Inoue. 5'6", 115.5 pounds, 5-2 is the Queensland, Australia fighter 'Rowdy' Bec Hyatt. Greg Franklin is our referee. Here we go!

Opening bell at 9:50 ET. Hyatt throws a few jabs then lets off a thunderous right hook. Inoue takes it though. Inoue is on the outside. The crowd's drunks are yelling advice to Hyatt like "Double jab!" Somebody needs to cut them off. They are right in front of press row and loud as all hell. "1-1-2! 1-1-2!" Stop calling out punch combos - you're distracting people trying to watch the actual fight. If you're not a cornerman and you're drunk as fuck, save that shit. Hyatt bull rushes her into the fence at 2:05. Inoue turns her around and lands some solid knees to the thigh. The drunks keep calling for her to circle off the cage but instead she grabs a muay thai plum and throws a few knees. Inoue breaks free of the clinch but Hyatt has to use sheer force to push her away and get back to center. Hyatt really wants to land a haymaker right. She's telegraphing it. Hyatt covers up as Inoue throws a flurry so Inoue lands a good body shot. 45 seconds left in R1. Inoue winds up on her head against the fence - not sure if Bec pulled guard or went for a takedown but either way she's on top dropping bombs right as R1 ends. Close round.

R2 starts at 9:45 and Hyatt comes out with a flurry. They clinch up and Inoue gets the better of it, shoving her into the fence. Bec turns her around at 34 seconds. Things stall as they jockey for position and Inoue turns her back into the fence again at 1:10. Inoue gets a takedown and lands some nice clean shots to Hyatt's face. The rights look nasty. She's in half guard name onlt as she's really on Bec's side. She spins almost all the way behind her to land some shots to the face then gets back in guard again. 3 minutes gone. Inout satnds back up and Hyatt tries to get an upkick to no avail. Full side control leads to some nasty knees to the body. Bec gets back up at 3:55 and the crowd roars. Inoue throws body punches and keeps her pressed against the fence, trying but failing to get a leg trip. Inoue lands several more clean shots to the headand a hard left elbow. Hyatt misses with a home run knee but it makes Inoue back off, so Hyatt throws bunch of uppercuts and shots then goes for a submission right at the bell.

R3 is underway at 10:03 ET. The crowd is begging Hyatt to "let the hands go." She's doing her best to oblige. Inoue is using good side to side movement to prevent her from getting straight line shots. A big right finds a home though. 1:20. Hyatt just misses with a head kick. Inoue's jab is picking up tempo at 2:10. Hyatt lands a clean left and throws the right haymaker - I think it landed. The follow-ups definitely did. She pins Inoue against the fence for a second but she pushes off. Inoue's punches still have pop. The crowd is chanting AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OY OY OY as loud as they can for Bec. 3:30 gone. Both women seem content to stand and trade for the rest of this fight and for Inoue that's a mistake as Bec got her mojo back that way. Finally Inoue pins her to the fence but with 15 seconds left in the fight that's too late. She may have given Hyatt the 3rd and the fight.

ALL THREE JUDGES 29-28 FOR INOUE. There are a few boos for that score as Hyatt is much beloved in Kansas City, but not as long or as loud as you'd hear in other venues with other crowds after an unpopular decision. The only clear round for Hyatt was R3 so I'm hard pressed to disagree with the judges.

* Strawweight: Joanne Calderwood vs. Norma Rueda Center

Albuquerque, New Mexico's own Center comes out first in Fear the Fighter gear. She pulls it off to reveal a blue top and dark trunks. Calderwood comes out to Kanye's "Amazing," hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. She has on purple trunks and a black top. Martinez begins intros at 10:14 ET. 2-0 is Center, 115.75 pounds. 6-0 is Calderwood, also 115.75 pounds. Our referee for this contest is Mike Englund. Here we go!

The two touch gloves at 10:15 - righty to southpaw - before we get underway. Calderwood looks like she wants to walk Center down. 1 minute gone. Calderwood seems like the bigger of the two fighters. Center is stuffed on a single and they trade hands. They work on the fence for a bit and move back to the middle at 1:56. Center drops some bombs but none hit the target flush. Center tries and fails on another single leg. Leg kicks are swapped. Calderwood pushes Center into the fence. Calderwood's corner man sounds like Michael Bisping. He lets out a big AYYYY whenever she lands a solid strike. 4 minutes gone. Calderwood's left hook is a beauty. She puts Center on the fence again with 25 seconds left and punishes her with knees and elbows. Center finally gets a takedown right at the end but Calderwood pops up before the bell. 10-9 for Calderwood.

R2 starts at 10:22 ET. Calderwood is landing kicks and left hooks. She doesn't keep her hands very high though - the right is higher than the left. Since her opponent has an open fight stance too it's not hurting too much, but Center is closer to protecting her chin than Calderwood. Then again until Center can hurt her, Calderwood doesn't have much reason to. Calderwood is scoring with leg kicks and uppercuts. The longer this goes the more one sided it feels. 3:15. Center loses another takedown attempt. Calderwood punishes her each time. Bisping keeps calling for knees. They momentarily go to the ground but they're both back up in a split second. 4:20. Center misses with a spinning backfist but still lands one to the head. Got it another 10-9 to Calderwood.

Calderwood is continuing to press the striking advantage until Center makes it interesting with a takedown at 1:06. Calderwood scoots her butt to the fence and wall walks up. Center had a chance to get back down but lost it. It's better for her that she has Calderwood on the fence but she needs more than that - and right as I type that she drops for a double and gets it. 2:20 gone. Calderwood is trying to turn it into a submission to no avail. 1 minute left. Center probably gets this round on the cards but I've got Calderwood 29-28 overall. The ref stands them up with 14 seconds left and Calderwood throws her down right at the bell.

30-27 and 29-28 X2 for Calderwood.

* Atomweight: Jessica Penne vs. Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc

Tulsa's N-RC comes out first. Huntington Beach's Penne comes out at 10:38. She's got on purple trunks and a black Punishment top. I'd swear one of N R-C's corner men has on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bacjpack. In fact as the lights come up I'm convinced it's either that or a really ugly Koopa shell. N R-C is wearing a neon-green shirt and black/white trunks. 5'3", 105.75 pounds, 8-6 is N R-C. Penne is 5'5", 106 pounds, 10-2. Our referee in charge for this one is Greg Franklin. Here we go!

Penne is content to circle on the outside and counter strike. Since she's got both height and reach it's not a bad idea. N R-C is trying to make up for that with a leg kick here and there. Penne looks big enough to go up at least one weight class but that's just me. Penne doubles her to the ground at 3:06.  She has a dominant full mount with 35 seconds left in the round and winds up taking the back off it. She's going for the rear naked with 10 seconds left AND GETS THE SUB RIGHT BEFORE THE BELL. We just need Joe to make it official.

OFFICIAL TIME 4:57 OF R1 FOR REAR NAKED CHOKE SUBMISSION - YOUR WINNER IS JESSICA PENNE! No post-fight interview. I know they're pressed for time with several fights yet to go but with an R1 sub and a popular former champion that really seemed like the perfect time to do one.

* Flyweight: Leslie Smith vs. Jennifer Maia

Curitiba, Brazil's Maia is coming out to AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." She's got on a black top with purple trim around the neck and black trunks - more of a full body outfit though. Pleasant Hil, CA's Smith comes out to "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke. She has on a black top and trunks too but her trunks have white logos on the legs. She was bopping her head to the song the whole time the officials were checking her over. Joe Martinez begins the intros at 10:52 ET. Maia is 7-2-1 and Smith is 5-3-1. Our referee is Big John. Here we go!

Smith is definitely the fan favorite tonight - I think a lot of people still believe she won the Sarah Kaufman fight last time out. She's being aggressive too, coming forward, crouching down to be in her opponent's range. She tries a head kick that doesn't quite find the mark and Maia body locks her looking for a takedown. Smith breaks free at 1:28 and then gets a takedown of her own! She winds up in full guard but Maia kicks her away and then ties her up in knots on the fence. She tries to jump to the back and get in hooks but Smith avoids it. Smith lands a right hook and a left head kick. Almost all of the striking is going Smith's way. They return to center with a minute left in the round. Smith misses with the left head kick but the hands find the range. Smith hurts her with a left head kick and smells blood in the water - she lets off a relentless assault. She even tries a spinning fist late. She can't get the finish but she def won the round.

Smith and Maiai stand and bang right at the start of R2 and 16 seconds in it goes to the ground with Smith trying to get a submission and winding up on top. One female fan is loudly screaming at Smith to THROW AN ELBOW and when she does responds with THERE YOU GO!! We get back to the feet and Maia gets off a couple of knees. Smith responds with a body kick. Maia's being more assertive this round - I give her that. Left head kick by Smith. She spins but doesn't land. Maia tries to tie her up to do... something - go to the ground maybe? Doesn't matter she didn't get it. I love how Smith follows her head kicks with combos - she doesn't just stand there hoping it worked. Maia gets her to the ground with 80 seconds left in R2. Smith nearly had an armbar on the ground. She's got the better of the ground and that was the one place I thought Maia might be more comfortable than her, so Maia's hosed. I've got Smith up 20-18.

Smith seems to have plenty of gas to spare as she has a FURIOUS ASSAULT to start R3. Big John calls for time at 41 seconds as Maia caught a finger to the eye. Maia clears her vision, Big John nods at Smith, and the fight continues. Smith throws 5-6 punches at a time and most find the mark. I wish they were showing CompuStrike on the big screen so I could check it now and then when the fighters get out of view behind a ring post. Smith has another change for a submission off her back at 1:20. Smith eventually winds up on top in side control at 2:45 which the crowd applauds for. Maia gets her back to half guard. 90 seconds left as Smith looks to get back to side and lands a VICIOUS elbow in the process. She stands up and drops a right hammer. She gets full mount with 50 seconds left AND IS UNLOADING but Maia gets her back to guard again. 30 seconds. She's got a left knee up on the belly and both hands free to throw bombs and is hammering on Maia from the side until Big John tells her the bell sounded and to stop. Smith walks around the cage shaking her fists in the air, confidant she won. 30-27 X2 29-28 FOR LESLIE SMITH IN HER FLYWEIGHT DEBUT and the crowd approves!

* Bantamweight: Sarah D'Alelio vs. Lauren Taylor

Katy, Texas' own Taylor is coming out to "Bad to the Bone." Black trunks and a Fear the Fighter bodysuit adorn her. D'Alelio has a remix of "Smack My Bitch Up" for her entrance (although it's censored). She hails from Dublin, California and has red/orange trunks and an orange top. Fight introductions begin at 11:18 ET. 5'8", 134.75, 6-0 is Taylor. D'Alelio is 5'7", 134.75 pounds, 7-3. Our referee is Mike Englund. Here we go!

D'Alelio has Taylor in the fene as we pass the minute mark but Taylor turns her around and gets a single leg takedown. They're both back up at 1:40 but Taylor digs and gets her down again. I've just now realized for the first time I'm almost directly across the cage from King Mo - Mauro Ranallo is to his right from my vantage point. D'Alelio has taken the back but she's so high up she's in danger of losing the position she gained - Taylor backrolls her way out the back door and the crowd applauds. Taylor looks for another takedown right away but D'Alelio spreads her legs wide. Takedown achieved at 4:09. She keeps her down until the bell.

I could use a coffee. Taylor is fighting a winning fight so far but it's not lighting my world on fire. D'Alelio lands a smacking body kick and Taylor nearly gets the takedown off it. She throws another and this time Taylor puts her in the fence to land a knee to the groin? She seems to be in pain. The referee has called for time to let her recover. Action resumes at 1:55 of R2. Stand-up is working for D'Alelio. Under 2 minutes left in R2. Taylor is smiling about something. She goes for a single, turns it to a double for a second, goes back to the single and gets D'Alelio off her feet. D'Alelio is taken down again at 4:01 and this time it's more complete, but she wall walks up at 4:18. D'Alelio scores with an elbow as they break. Taylor is landing some good combos. D'Alelio tries a jump punch before the bell.

D'Alelio loves that Superman punch - I just wish she'd connect with it! Taylor's bob and weave in this round looks good. 2:30. It's a pretty even round and since nobody has a takedown it could go either way for these judges. When D'Alelio gets too aggressive, Taylor blasts her in the face. Do you score the control or the aggression? They stand and trade right at the bell and we await the verdict of the judges.

11:39 ET. JUDGES HAVE IT 30-27, 29-28 X2 ALL THREE FOR THE WINNER AND STILL UNDEFEATED LAUREN TAYLOR.

* Strawweight: Claudia Gadelha vs. Ayaka Hamasaki

Mossoro, Brazil's Gadelha is out first to Alicia Keys' "This Girl Is On Fire." She has on a black top and trunks. Tokyo's Hamasaki is out to some guitar rock J-Pop. She has a black top with red trim and black trunks. Official intros at 11:45 ET. 5'3", 114.5 pounds, 10-0 is Gadelha. 5'2", 115.25, 9-0 is the Jewels champion Hamasaki. Our referee is Greg Franklin. Here we go with our co-main event of the evening!

Hamasaki puts Gadelha in the fence but Gadelha turns it around, and then gets turned back again. Gadelha spins her way into a leg trip to end that dance - pretty impressive looking takedown. She's halfway past the half guard in that spot where you can land some dangerous damage, but she's looking for a full mount. Girl Fight Megumi has a non-stop chatter of Japanese instruction in her corner, and Gadelha's corner is full of advice in Portuguese. Not that those are significant facts, but I needed to say something while the action stalled on the ground and Big John was blocking my view. Hamasaki has done a great job of tying Gadelha up and keeping her from doing damage. She tries to posture up at 3:45 to no avail. She's able to land a few hard shots to the ribs. Meanwhile off to my right some fan keeps yelling YUUUUUUP like we're watching Storage Wars or whatever that show is. 10 second clapper and GADELHA MAY HAVE KNEED A GROUNDED OPPONENT RIGHT AT THE BELL. The ref stepped in at the same time the round ended.

The consensus in press row is that there was a point taken away - I may have missed the signal as I was looking up at the video screen trying to figure out what happened from a different angle than mine. Either way Gadelha is on top again in the first minute of R2 after another takedown. Sarah Kaufman also has R1 9-9 on Twitter. If they split the last two rounds this co-main event could wind up a majority or unanimous draw. Hamasaki nearly flips Gadelha at the halfway point but she recovers top position nicely and starts pounding away at the ribs again. And on we go with more of the same. There's a minute left now. Hamasaki tried and failed again to sweep but God bless her for trying. I think Gadelha has a size advantage here not to mention a better ground game. Gadelha is going for a choke and the ref is checking to see if Hamasaki is out but we're coming right up to the bell - I think the bell saved her. A dominant round for Gadelha.

Gadelha has the back early in R3 and goes for a sub but for the first time Hamasaki is able to work her way to the top and even land a couple of right hands to the face. Now it's Gadelha's turn to tie her up. Hamasaki tries to jump to her back and that was a mistake because Gadelha reasserted herself and retook Hamasaki's back and flattened her out. She's throwing lefts and rights and if she can free her arms up again and land more of those to the head it could be stopped. Hamasaki rolls to her back again and tries to buck Gadelha off. Gadelha can't be shook though. 3:15. Hamasaki is sticky as hell and Gadelha is having a hell of a time getting the hands free but when she does and reigns down shots at 3:58 GREG FRANKLIN WAVES IT OFF AND GADELHA GETS THE FINISH. One of her teammates hoists her up on his shoulders for the celebration, and then does it a second time so the Invicta cameras can catch it. Joe makes this official at 6 past midnight ET. FRANKLIN STOPS THE FIGHT AT 3:58 OF R3 FOR THE WINNER BY TKO - CLAUDIA GADELHA!

* Inaugural Featherweight Title: Marloes Coenen vs. Cristiane Santos

Video package for this one begins at 12:08!

@angrymarks All of the crowd at @InvictaFights is on their feet for Cris Cyborg! #InvictaFC6

Coenen gets a nice response for her walkout as well. Martinez intros the main event at 123 after midnight! Coenen is wearing a Fear the Fighter top and black pants. Cyborg is wearing white trunks and a gray Punishment top. 5'8", 145 pounds, 11-1, 1 ND, fighting out of San Diego by way of Curitiba, Brazil is Cris Cyborg. 21-5, 5'9", fighting out of the Netherlands is Coenen. Big John will ref our main event. Here we go!

Cyborg and Coenen are tied up in the fence 30 seconds in. Coenen throws a right as they break that just misses. Cyborg muscles her into the fence again and throws knees. Coenen turns her around and nearly trips her but Cyborg throws her to the ground at 1:32 and is in guard. Cyborg tries to stand up and drop down shots, kicking the legs for a bit until she finds her opening. She backs away and Big John stands Coenen up at 2:30. Cyborg eats a body kick just to throw a right that knocks Coenen down, takes side control, and moves up high. She's probably looking for a choke or armbar - instead she backs away, blasts her in the face and has Big John stand her up. 3:30. Coenen goes to her back on purpose but Cyborg walks away again. 4:15. Coenen is giving as good as she can get in the stand up but Cyborg throws her to the ground HARD 10 seconds later. She's in side control with 15 seconds left in R1 and backs away before the bell. 10-9 Cyborg.

R2 is underway at 12:21. Cyborg really loads up on that right hand. She gets another takedown at 19 seconds. Coenen tries to go for a leg but Cyborg hops out of it right away. Another POWERFUL takedown at 1:09 - a couple of people in press row jumped. Cyborg has side control but decides to stand up and Coenen goes for the leg again. This time Cyborg has more trouble getting out of it but punishes Coenen with a hard right instead of making John stand her up. Finally she backs off at 2:40. Coenen gets the worst of a striking exchange and goes for a single to save herself but Cyborg rains down more and more shots. Big John looks like he might stop this at any time but Cyborg lets her get up again then rushes over and POWER SLAMS HER to the ground. She backs up and looks for her shot. 1 minute left in the second. This is another dominant 10-9 round for Cristiane Santos.

R3 starts at 12:27. It only takes Cyborg 15 seconds to get another takedown and Coenen tries for the leg to no avail. She's just flopping to her back on purpose now. She desperately wants Cyborg to get caught in a submission. Cyborg presses her into the fence, Coenen gets off a knee to the body, but it's only a matter of time before she pulls her down at the 90 second mark. The only thing keeping Cyborg from taking side is the part of the fence they are next to - so she walks away and lets Coenen up. She throws leg kicks, takes her down to half guard, and backs out when Coenen goes for a sub. Knee to the body by Cyborg when John stands them up. 2 minutes left. CYBORG STARTS ROCKING HER AT 90 SECONDS AND COENEN JUST COVERS UP. The crowd erupts thinking it's the finish but Coenen recovers and ties up Cyborg. 1 minute. They trade knees. Cyborg gets a clinch and lands some nasty jumping knees, then backs away to throw hands before the bell. 10-9 again.

Our fourth round is underway at 12:34 ET. Will Cyborg finish in this round, or are we going the distance? Cyborg has the clinch and throws another knee. Coenen ties her up. Coenen spins her into the fence for a knee or two. Cyborg spins her back and gets a takedown at 0:56. BIg John calls for time - I'm not sure why. Either way it's academic as Cyborg rocks her right after the restart and the crowd jumps to their feet thinking it's the end. She's got full mount at the two minute mark and she's throwing lefts and rights so it may be VERY soon. Coenen keeps finding ways to survive though. 2:30. Coenen takes 4 or 5 rights to the head. She's trying to sneak her legs around Cyborg from behind so she's still active enough for John to let it continue. 3:20. She's trying to elbow Coenen but she keeps covering up to avoid damage. Big John STOPS THE FIGHT WITH 55 SECONDS LEFT IN THE FOURTH AND THIS ONE IS NOW OVER. Joe will make it official in a minute.

4:02 OF R4 FOR YOUR NEW FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMP CYBORG. She thanks Jesus, Brazil, Invicta, and all the fans (not in that order). Post fight presser is next!
