What's going to happen on SmackDown tonight? This is the fourth SmackDown since WWE SummerSlam 2014 and now we look towards the night where championships have great meaning again, WWE Night of Champions which will air on the WWE Network (for only NINE NINETY NINE) in just over a week. Tune in to the recap to find out what happens!

We start out with clips of the main event between Roman Reigns and Randy Orton from Monday Night Raw. Seth Rollins and Kane came out to help Orton destroy Reigns inside of the steel cage. Rollins finished him off with the curb stomp on the steel chair, and as a result Rollins will face Reigns at Night of Champions.

The Big Show is the first man to come out after the opening video. Tom Phillips, Michael Cole and JBL welcome us to the show and inform us of the main event: Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. All eight men come out for a big 8-man tag team match, and Bray Wyatt sits on his rocking chair on the stage.

* Big Show, Mark Henry and The Usos {Tag Champs} vs. Gold & Stardust and Luke Harper & Erick Rowan

Jimmy Uso and Goldust start the match for their respective teams. Jimmy powers him into a corner, punches and chops him, Irish whip reversed, he slides and comes back with a clothesline and an uppercut for 1. Goldust knees him in the midsection, throws him in his corner, punches him in the gut and tags out. Stardust comes in, kicks and punches him, mocks Jey and his leg, Jimmy with a savate kick to the gut and chops him on the chest. Jey tags in, chops him, kicks him in the back, Jimmy tags back in, hits a diving axe handle, but then Stardust backs him into HIS corner. Harper tags himself in and Stardust stares at him with Harper staring back. Jimmy escapes, uppercuts Harper, ducks a clothesline and dropkicks him. Mark Henry gets the tag, headbutts him, drops down for the Junkyard Dog crawling headbutt, whips him to a corner and splashes him. Harper boots him in the face, swings at Jey Uso, covers Henry for 2, and Wyatt comes down the ramp but Big Show steps in his way. Wyatt backs up as we take our first commercial break.

Jimmy lands a diving cross body when we come back, he clotheslines him, savate kicks him in the gut, uppercuts him, misses a clothesline, Samoan drop blocked, but he connects with a spinning kick to the head. Harper tosses him over the ropes and Jimmy falls to the floor holding his left knee. Jey and the referee go check on him as the replay shows he slipped off the apron. Stardust comes over to smack his head on the apron and the announce table, then throws him back in the ring for 2. Goldust tags in, clotheslines him from behind, covers for 1, stomps on him, grabs his leg and drags him to his corner. Harper tags in, kicks the leg, hits a European uppercut, Jimmy fights back, sunset flip for 1, Harper dropkicks him and gets 2. Rowan tags in, hits a kneedrop, then squeezes his head with his fists, and Jimmy fights out and hits a Samoan drop. Goldust tags in, goes for a suplex, Jimmy (sort of) lands on his feet, superkicks him and crawls towards his corner. Stardust tags in, and Big Show gets the hot tag!

Big Show clotheslines Stardust, clotheslines him in a corner, then the opposite, hits a running shoulder block, grabs the Dust Brothers by their throats, they kick him and deliver a double suplex! Mark Henry blasts Goldust, Harper and Rowan attack Henry sending him out the ring, Goldust joins in, then Jimmy flies onto all three with a suicide dive! Back in the ring, Stardust hits the Disaster Kick, dropkicks him, Jey tags himself in, Big Show hits the KO PUNCH and Jey lands the USO SPLASH for 3! WINNERS: BIG SHOW, MARK HENRY, JIMMY AND JEY USO.

Bray Wyatt does not look happy in his rocking chair, and Goldust tries to revive a near-unconscious Stardust. Mark Henry will be back out later on for his Arm Wrestling Contest with Rusev. Breaktime.

When we come back, we get clips from Raw where Paul Heyman tried to have John Cena show his angry side towards the fans who boo him. Cena in turn said he loves being the guy that kids wanna see and hang out with, then challenged Brock Lesnar to show up next week on Raw, and if the World Champ doesn't show then he will fight Heyman. "Have a nice week Paul, I'll see you next Monday." Cole confirms that Lesnar will be on Raw and he will have a face-to-face with Cena before their rematch at Night of Champions next Sunday.

Backstage, Kane gloats about the success of the season premiere of Monday Night Raw happy about what Orton and Rollins did to Jericho and Reigns. Rollins says he knows what makes Roman Reigns tick and can get inside his head. "Tonight we finish Roman Reigns for good." Orton likes the sound of that and says that Chris Jericho's beatdown that received on Raw will fail to compare to what they do to him. Kane adds that that's what's best for business. Breaktime.

Bo Dallas and Justin Gabriel are in the ring when we come back. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter are standing at ringside.

* Bo Dallas vs. Justin Gabriel

The bell dings but Dallas wants to talk first. Bo Dallas: "You know, life's funny sometimes. Most of you are destined to be failures your entire life. But if you work hard and you listen to what I say, you can be just like me. You could all be America's sweetheart. Now will you all please rise, and place your right hand over your heart." Zeb Colter: "Hold it, hold it, hold it. Hey Bo Dallas, if that is your real name. You're America's sweetheart now? You know something, if you're America's sweetheart, I'm Ariana freakin' Grande! And I don't even know who that is! Bo Dallas, why don't you admit what you're really doing? You're running a scam. You don't need to be in that ring making a living. You need to be on some late night infomercial selling that snake oil or that bogus philosophy of yours. Real Americans don't need to Bolieve. What Real Americans need to do is please rise, put your hand over your heart, and in a loud clear voice say along with us: WE, THE PEOPLE!"

Dallas and Gabriel finally get started, Dallas kicks and punches him, Gabriel slides under him, kicks him, snapmare, rolls him up for 1, sweeps the legs, rolls him up again for 1, Dallas whips him hard into a corner, punches him, hits a short-arm clothesline and stares at The Real Americans. Dallas puts him in a chinlock, Gabriel counters with a jawbreaker, kicks him over and over, forearm smash, roundhouse kick connects, forearm smash in a corner, lands a springbaord crossbody for 2, plants him with an STO, but misses the springboard moonsault. Dallas rolls away, kicks him in the gut, stares at Swagger and Colter, then hits the Bo-Dog for 3. WINNER: BO DALLAS.

Dallas doesn't take his eyes off Swagger telling him to step in the ring, Swagger just stares at him, finally charges the ring and the fight is on. Swagger slides into the ring and Dallas exits it. Breaktime.

AJ Lee skips down to the ring and to the announce table to do commentary for this Divas match. Summer Rae is already in the ring with Layla by her side, and as Paige comes out AJ stares evilly at her. We get clips from Raw of AJ and Paige winning a tag team match.

* Summer Rae vs. Paige {Divas Champion}
  [non-title match]

They lock up, Paige backs her into a corner, Layla taps on the steel steps for a distraction, Summer attacks her from behind and stomps her down. Summer puts her in a full nelson using her legs, Paige counters with a pin cover for 2, Summer slaps her on the back, Paige turns around and headbutts her. Paige hits a short-arm clothesline, puts her on the ropes, knees her in the face while on the apron, yells at AJ, then locks in AJ's BLACK WIDOW while staring at her as Summer taps out! WINNER: PAIGE.

Layla gets in the ring, AJ kicks her, Paige looks on, then AJ HITS THE PAIGE TURNER on Layla! Paige walks up to AJ who just skips around her and leaves. Mark Henry and Rusev are walking backstage and their contest is next. The "Smack of the Night" is from Raw last month when Mark Henry first confronted Rusev giving him the World's Strongest Slam then the World's Stringest Splash, then two weeks ago Rusev superkicked Henry for payback.

* Arm Wrestling Contest: Mark Henry vs. Rusev (w/ Lana)

Michael Cole hosts the contest calling it USA vs. Russia. He mentions that Henry and Rusev will face off at Night of Champions next Sunday at Night of Champions on the WWE Network (for $9.99) then introduces Henry first, who comes out waving the American flag. Next, Cole introduces Rusev accompanied by Lana. Oddly enough, Rusev does not have the Russian flag with him. Lana: "Mr. Henry, we are very surprised that you accepted our challenge. However, you can spare yourself of the embarrassment and embarrassing your country by losing tonight and at the Night of Champions if you just embrace the American way and forfeit, similar to how you forfeited when you competed and failed at the Olympic Games." Mark Henry: "Listen Goldilocks, I was proud of my Olympic experiences, but I was sad about the fact that I had to withdraw because of an injury. I never thought in a million years that I was gonna get another chance to represent my country, and that is the greatest superpower on the planet - the United States of America. (USA! USA! USA! USA!) At Night of Champions, I'm gonna unleash 400 pounds of fury on you. Let me show you WHAT, I, DO." Lana: "First, we will dedicate this impending victory to our fearless leader, Vladimir Putin!" The referee gives the instructions but Rusev backs off and chalks up his hands. Here we go! Nope, Rusev slips off and they will restart. Here we go again! Henry gets the advantage, smiles, and does it! MARK HENRY WINS!

Lana complains to the referee, the ref whispers something to Cole, and Cole tells Mark Henry that Rusev wants a rematch with the left hand this time. Henry accepts and is ready for it. Here we go! Rusev slowly gains the advantage, Henry overpowers him, then Lana throws chalk in Henry's face blinding him! Rusev kicks him in the midsection then the back of the head. The Russian flag drops from the ceiling as JBL complains about it. Lana orders Rusev to attack and he superkicks Henry.

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Chris Jericho and asks for his reaction to the steel cage match with Wyatt and the attack from Orton. Jericho feels like he had one of the greatest cage matches in Raw history and is proud of his dive from the top of the cage calling it awesome. "I took a lot of chances in that match. Some of them worked, some of them didn't, and I lost that match but I lost it on my terms and I can accept that. What I can't accept is being attacked from behind by Randy Orton to make a statement." Jericho adds that he didn't finish him off and calls him the viper vanquisher, the cobra crusher, and the snake shredder among others. "I am 'Y2J' Chris Jericho! And as of tonight and at Night of Champions when I'm done, Randy Orton will never, ever, be the same again. Ssssss." A commercial airs for the WWE Network that it's just NINE NINETY-NINE!

When we come back, The Miz and Damien Sandow head to the ring, and "Mizdown" imitates everything The Miz does. Dolph Ziggler: "Hey Miz, that idea of having a stunt double is a pretty rad idea. So please welcome, for the night, MY stunt double, R-ZIGGLER!" R-Truth comes out DRESSED EXACTLY LIKE DOLPH! They even move simultaneously on the stage and down the ramp! #StuntDouble

* The Miz & Damien Sandow vs. Dolph Ziggler {Intercontinental Champion} & R-Truth

Ziggler and Sandow start the match, they lock up, Sandow with a knee, Ziggler punches him, snapmare, gyrates, points to Miz and hits a jumping elbow drop. R-Truth tags in, snapmare, gyrates, points to Miz and hits a jumping elbow drop. Truth covers for 2, Ziggler tags in, arm wrench, ducks a swing, dropkicks him for 2 then puts him in a front facelock. He teases Miz about wanting to get in then he trades places with Truth behind the ref's back. The ref is not fooled by the antics though as he lets Truth know he's not a complete idiot. Miz comes in and both Zigglers give him a double hiptoss, then they give Sandow a double hiptoss as well. Ziggler clotheslines Miz out the ring, and Truth clotheslines Sandow out. The Zigglers are in control while we take a commercial break.

When we come back, Miz has Ziggler in a chinlock, Ziggler counters with a snapmare and kicks him off. Truth tags in, ducks a swing, clotheslines him twice, splashes him in a corner, teases the punches but Sandow screams "Not the face!" so Truth punches HIM in the face instead! Miz boots Truth in the face, stomps on his stomach, points to his "money-maker" and kicks Truth in the face. Sandow tags in, gets a 2-count, does the money-maker pose and kicks Truth in the face like The Miz just did. Miz tags in, stomps on him, Truth punches him in the gut, Miz hits the backbreaker-into-neckbreaker combo and gets 2. Sandow tags in, hits the backbreaker, but Truth counters the neckbreaker with a backslide and gets 2. Miz tags in, hits a legdrop, taunts Ziggler, and chokes Truth on the ropes. Sandow is tagged back in, grabs Truth's legs, elbow drops onto one of them, but then Truth kicks him off. Miz tags in, stomps on Truth's back, knocks Dolph off the apron, but then R-Ziggler hits the jumping DDT! Mizdow tags in, and Dolph makes it back on the apron in time to get the hot tag.

Ziggler clotheslines Sandow twice, splashes him in a corner, and hits the neckbreaker. Sandow avoids the Fame-Asser, kicks him in the gut, Ziggler counters the full nelson, hits the FAME-ASSER and Miz breaks up the count. The referee admonishes Miz, Sandow avoids the scissors kick, Ziggler slaps him, R-ZIGGLER HITS THE ZIG ZAG and Dolph pins him for 3! WINNERS: DOLPH and R-ZIGGLER.

After a commercial break, we go back to Raw where Jerry Springer appeared to try and have an intervention with The Bella Twins. They continued to disagree some more, we even had comments from their parents, and their brother JJ showed up to try and help. Brie and Nikki still ended up scuffling, Jerry Springer got hurt in the process, JJ got slapped by Nikki, Stephanie got caught in it too, and nothing was solved.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Nikki Bella asking what she thinks about the intervention. Nikki calls herself the victim saying that not even Jerry Springer can help them. She says that she will focus on the Divas Title match and thinking about winning the title will help make her forget that she has a sister. She looks over to see AJ Lee standing there. AJ says that Nikki weaseled her way into HER title rematch then calls her Stephanie McMahon's lapdog. Now Paige shows up to mock them and tells them that she will beat AJ one last time so they can be best friends again. "Bye Brie. Nikki! Bye Nikki." AJ storms off, and Nikki says "I actually think this could be easy."

Chris Jericho comes out for the main event match, and we get clips from Raw where Orton attacked him from behind and beat him down in the trainer's room. At Night of Champions, Jericho will go one-on-one with Orton. Roman Reigns heads down to the ring next before a commercial break. When we come back, Rollins comes out next and we get clips from Raw where he, Kane and Orton attacked Reigns.

* Chris Jericho & Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins & Randy Orton

Reigns and Orton will start the match, Orton punches him around the ring, Reigns with a snapmare, a couple of shoulder blocks then he clotheslines him out the ring and punches Rollins. He attacks Orton outside the ring, punches Rollins for good measure, then puts Orton back in thh ring. Orton knocks him off the apron and Reigns crashes onto the announce table before we take our final commercial break.

Orton is choking Reigns on the ropes when we come back. Reigns punches Rollins, Orton clotheslines Reigns in the corner and gets a 2-count, then puts him in a chinlock until Reigns counters with a back suplex sideslam. Rollins gets the tag, Jericho gets the tag as well, hits the diving axe handle from the top, knocks Orton off the apron, hits a shoulder block on Rollins, then plants him with a sleeper slam. Jericho catapults him into the corner, pulls him down and locks in the WALLS OF JERICHO! Jericho attacks an incoming Orton, hits the bulldog on Rollins, but then Orton punches Jericho as he hits the ropes. Rollins covers for 2, tags Orton in, holds his arm, Orton starts stomping on him and covers for a 2-count. Jericho chops him, Orton hits the snap powerslam, covers and gets a near-fall, then Orton stomps on Jericho's gut. Rollins tags in, suplexes him, rolls, second suplex, rolls and hits the third suplex for Three Amigos. Jericho tosses him high up and over sending him to the floor. Rollins cuts Jericho off preventing the tag, Orton tags in, stomps on him, clubs him on the chest, whips him across the ring, Jericho puts up a boot, follows up with a missile dropkick and both men are down.

Reigns gets the hot tag, clothesline to Orton, knocks Rollins off the apron, clotheslines Orton again, goes for the Samoan drop but hits one on Rollins instead, Orton hits a European uppercut, then Reigns hits a jumping clothesline. He stacks both men in a corner, clotheslines, punches Rollins and Randy, Orton falls onto the bottom rope, and Reigns hits the running dropkick from the floor. Reigns catches Rollins coming off the springboard, clotheslines him out the ring, Jericho tags in and hits the dlying crossbody for a near-fall. Rollins and Reigns end up fighting in the crowd. Orton puts up an elbow in a corner, hits his vintage backbreaker, Rollins and Reigns continue to fight through the crowd, Orton goes for the rope-hung DDT, but Jericho counters with a schoolboy rollup for 1-2-3! WINNERS: CHRIS JERICHO and ROMAN REIGNS.

That's all for Friday Night SmackDown!
