Matt Sydal (0-1) vs. Bushi (0-1)

Sydal from the mat hits a Hurricanrana on Bushi who's on the top rope. Sydal follows up with a Shooting Star Press to pick up the pinfall victory.

Match Highlight:

• Bushi kicks out at 2, twice in rapid succession from two very innovative moves from Matt Sydal.

Kyle O'Reilly (1-0) vs. Gedo (1-0)

O'Reilly taps out Gedo with a cross arm-breaker. Aside from a few kicks and knees by O'Reilly, this match bored the piss out of me. Lots and lots of rest holds, and very little excitement.

Match Highlight:

• Gedo kicks out of a brainbuster at 2.

Ryusuke Taguchi (1-0) vs. David Finlay (0-1)

Taguchi taps out Finlay with a reverse ankle lock. Seems like Taguchi is back to doing his usual comedy spots of mocking Nakamura in matches too.

Match Highlights:

• Taguchi does Nakamura's foot choke int the corner spot, and tries for a Bomassaye, but Finlay decks him with a forearm uppercut.
• Taguchi kicks out of a Rock Bottom into a back-breaker at 2.

Kushida (0-1) vs. Rocky Romero (1-0)

Romero pins Kushida with a climb-up Bomaye.

Match Highlights:

• Great comedy spot by Romero, hanging in the ropes. Kushida tries to shake him off them, but is unsuccessful. Kushida dives at Romero, who moves, and Romero teases a dive to the outside, but instead holds the ropes open for Kushida to come back into the ring.
• Not to be outdone by Taguchi in the match prior, Romero invokes Nakamura (as he did in his first BOSJ match) and hits Nakamura's signature knee-lift in the corner spot.
• Romero kicks out of a moonsault at 2.5
• Romero kicks out of Sliced Bread at 2.5
• Romero hangs Kushida over the top turnbuckle and nails him with a springboard dropkick, but Kushida kicks out at 2.5
