Mike Poulin's Limitless Wrestling "No Dropkicks in the Living Room" Review

Match 1

Ace Romero vs JT Dunn

Dunn wastes no time landing a big kick to the face which Romero answers back with a big blockbuster. Romero charges the corner and gets dumped to the apron and Dunn lands another big kick sending Romero to the floor. Dunn goes for a frankensteiner but Romero catches him and goes for a powerbomb but Dunn escapes and goes for another frankensteiner but Romero catches and powerbombs Dunn on the ring frame. Romero rolls Dunn in to the ring and lands a series of chops and works over Dunn. Romero sends Dunn in to the corner but Dunn gets the boots up and lands a rolling Ace Crusher for a near fall. Dunn lands a series of shots and works over Romero and locks in a chinlock on Romero.

Romero and Dunn trade shots and Romero lands a series of uppercuts and lands a big uppercut in the corner. Romero goes for a choke but Dunn escapes and lands a big German Suplex on Romero. Romero sends Dunn to the floor and lands a big dive but Dunn catches Romero with a big forearm strike to the face. Romero barely rolls back in and Dunn lands a big springboard double stomp for a near fall. Romero and Dunn trade shots and Romero hits the ropes and Dunn follows him with a big kick and they trade moves and Romero lands a big move. Dunn goes for DEATH BY ELBOW but Romero avoids it and lands a series of shots. Dunn goes for a through the ropes faceplant but Romero catches him with the BLACK HOLE SLAM for a near fall. Romero and Dunn trade shots and in the end Romero lands the big clothesline for the win.

Winner: Ace Romero. Good little match between these two to start the show. Some great back and forth from Ace and Dunn and some great commentary from Dijak and Tommaso Ciampa and we have a stare down at the end of the show to continue to build to their match at the next show.

Match 2

E.Y.F.B.O-Mike Draztik and Angel Ortiz vs Private Party-Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy

EYFBO attack Private Party from beind and all four men brawl on the floor and Quen gets tossed in to the crowd. Draztik lands a series of shots on Kassidy but Kassidy comes back and lands a series of wacky arm drags sending Draztik to the floor. Quen lands a series of shots and lands a big frankensteiner on Ortiz. Private Party dominate the early going but Ortiz is able to get advantage and lands a big senton splash on Quen. Ortiz does a strut lands a big headbutt on Quen. Draztik lands a shot and lands a big suplex and EYFBO land a suplex/neckbreaker combination and work over Quen. Draztik locks in the GORY SPECIAL on Quen and makes the tag out and Ortiz lands a  EYFBO whip Quen in to the ropes and land a face plant but Quen lands a big kick to the head taking both men down.

Quen fights back and lands a series of moves ane everyone lands moves, Quen lands a big frankensteiner on Ortiz but Draztik comes back and lands a big superkick on Quen and everyone moves before Quen finally eventually makes the tag out. Kassidy lands a springboard senton splash off the ropes for a near fall. Ortiz tries to send Kassidy to the floor but Quen catches and shoots him back in to a nice headscissors on Ortiz. Quen climbs the ropes and lands a big swanton bomb and for some reason does a big dive to the floor taking out Draztik. Ortiz catches Quen and lands a piledriver and rolls him in to a nice double team powerslam/neckbreaker combination on Quen for a near fall. Kassidy goes for another springboard move but EYFBO catches him and land a series of double teams. Draztik props Kassidy on the ropes and EYFBO lands the VILLANO KILLER on Kassidy for the win.

Winners: E.Y.F.B.O-Angel Ortiz and Mike Draztik.

Match 3

Bad Boy Joey Janela vs Sonya Strong

Strong quickly sweeps the leg and lands a series of kicks to the leg of Janela. Janela comes back and lands a big clothesline and sends Strong in to the corner and lands a series of chops, but Strong fights back with a series of chops. Janela fights back and lands a big back suplex on the apron on Strong. Janela seats Strong in a chair at ringside and lands a big shot followed by an OLE KICK running all the way around the ring. Janela tries to whip Strong back in to the crowd but gets countered and gets sent in to a chair at ringside. Strong rolls Janela back in to the ring but Janela catches her with a series of shots. Strong lands a beautiful crossbody block on Janela for a near fall. Janela comes back and lands a series of shots and snaps her over and locks in a chinlock. Strong fights back and lands a big monkey flip and lands a series of shots. Strong lands a big suicide dive to the floor and rolls Janela back in to the ring.

Janela catches Strong and splits her on the apron and lands a series of big kicks sending Strong to the floor, but Strong is barely able to break the referee's count. Janella hooks Strong and props her up on the ropes and lands a big superplex and holds on but Strong counters in to a small package for a near fall. Janela goes for a clothesline but Strong catches him and drops him face first to the mat and climbs the ropes but misses a somersault off the ropes. Janela hooks Strong and lands a rolling Death Valley Driver followed a running kick to the head for a near fall. Janela goes for a superkick but Strong counters and lands a tiger suplex, Strong lands a nice handstand in to a frankensteiner and scores the win.

Winner: Sonya Strong. Solid match between these two, I'm generally not a fan of Inter-gender matches but the last couple of times that Limitless does them is actually good. Sonya Strong walks out with another victory in Limitless Wrestling competition.

Match 4

Tommaso Ciampa vs Xavier Bell

Ciampa and Bell lock up and Ciampa gets the takedown and the two trade holds. Ciampa and Bell engage in a knuckle lock and Ciampa forces Bell to the mat. Bell locks in a side headlock, Ciampa shoots Bell in to the ropes and Bell lands a big shoulder tackle, and Bell collides with Ciampa who comes back and lands a big shoulder tackle sending Bell to the mat. Bell shoots Ciampa through the ropes to the floor, Bell comes off the apron but Ciampa catches Bell coming off with a brutal knee to the head. Ciampa props Bell on the apron and lands a series of violent knees to the head of Bell who is on the apron. Ciampa gets a head of steam and then locks in a chinlock on Bell.

Ciampa lands a series of shots and sends Ciampa to the floor and lands a big dive to the floor on Ciampa. Ciampa and Bell brawl on the floor and Bell seats Ciampa in a chair and goes for another dive to the floor but ends up diving head first in to a row of chairs. Ciampa brings Bell in to the ring and lands a series of chops and works over Bell. Ciampa props Bell in to the ropes and lands a big superplex off the ropes. Ciampa lands a series of violent running knees to the head and locks in a chinlock. Ciampa and Bell trade shots and Bell catches Ciampa with a nice swinging neckbreaker and both men are down.

Bell lands a series of shots and lands a big kick to the head of Ciampa. Bell whips Ciampa in to the corner and lands a series of elbow strikes in the corner. Ciampa comes back and lands a series of chops to the chest. Ciampa sends Bell to the apron and Bell goes for a shoulder block but Ciampa counters with a brutal knee to the head. Bell comes back and lands a series of shots but Ciampa catches him with a vicious spinning clothesline for a near fall. Tommaso brings Bell to the floor and lands a big suplex on to the apron on Bell. Bell comes back and lands a big Rock Bottom and scores a close near fall. Bell charges the corner but Tommaso counters a leap and lands PROJECT CIAMPA and scores the fall.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa. Excellent Match between these two. Some brutal spots and Ciampa walks out with the victory.

Match 5

Keith Lee vs Jeff Cobb

Lee and Cobb lock up and exchange waistlocks in the early going. Lee wrenches the arm and Cobb turns it in to a side headlock. Lee shoves him off and they collide in the center of the ring and nobody moves. Cobb comes off the ropes and Lee drops down and Cobb dives through the legs and then Lee does the same thing and Cobb bypasses him. Lee and Cobb lock up again and again exchange waistlocks. Lee gets the edge and pounds Cobb across the back and lands a big German Suplex on Cobb. Cobb comes back and sends Cobb in to the corner and lands a series of shots and Lee fights back with a series of shots. Lee shoots Cobb to the floor, Lee goes for a suicide dive but Cobb rolls in and sweeps the leg and lands a standing moonsault followed by a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

Lee comes back and lands a series of shots and a neckbreaker to the knee for a near fall. Lee goes for a suplex but Cobb counters and forces him in to the corner with a series of shoulder blocks following. Lee lands a series of shots and works over Cobb. Lee shoots Cobb in to the ropes and lands the SPIRIT BOMB for a near fall, but holds on and lands another powerbomb for another near fall. Lee goes for another suplex but Cobb sneaks in a small package and scores the fall.

Winner: Jeff Cobb.

Match 6

Warbeard Hanson vs All Good Anthony Greene

Hanson and Greene lock up and Hanson forces Greene in to the corner but misses a forearm shot. Hanson locks in a side headlock and Hanson sends Greene to the floor with a series of shoulder tackles. Greene goes for an O'Connor Roll and Hanson holds on and counters an arm drag and a side headlock takeover. Greene lands a drop toehold and lands a basement dropkick on Hanson for a near fall. Grene sends Hanson to the floor and lands a big suicide dive to the floor. Greene lands a nice Tornado DDT using a ring post a slingshot over the ropes but Greene gets caught and Hanson suplexes Greene ribs first in to the ring post. Hanson lands a series of shots to the ribs. Hanson locks in a chinlock and Greene escapes but Hanson catches Greene and uses the ropes and lands a big double stomp out of the corner. Hanson lands a series of punches and locks in abdominal stretch and pounds away on the ribs. Hanson and Greene both go for big kicks which Greene eventually lands one and lands a big DDT and both men are down.

Greene comes back and lands a series of punches and catches Hanson coming off the ropes and lands a big neckbreaker. Greene goes for an Irish whip and Hanson tries to counter and Greene holds on and lands a big bulldog out of the corner, followed by a crossbody block off the ropes. Greene charges Hanson but Hanson catches Greene and props him up on the top rope and lands a series of forearms, Hanson goes for his bronco buster but Greene moves. Greene lands a series of kicks and comes off the ropes but Hanson catches him with a big powerslam for a near fall. Greene goes for an ace crusher but Hanson shoves him off and lands the cartwheel clothesline. Greene comes back and lands another ace crusher but Hanson no sells it but then Greene lands the GOOD VIBRATION springboard ace crusher for the win.

Winner: All Good Anthony Greene. Good match between these two. Greene extends his win streak in Limitless Wrestling and scores the biggest win of his tenure in Limitless Wrestling.

Match 7

Da Hoodz-Kris Pyro and Davey Cash vs the Influence-Jason Devine and Mike Montero

Montero gets a quick roll up on Pyro for a near fall. Influence land duel kicks and a double basement dropkick on Pyro. Influence double team Pyro in the corner and land a backbreaker/knee drop combination for a near fall. Influence try to double team Pyro but Cash holds on to him and Pyro sends Montero to the floor and lands a big shot on Devine. Cash sends Devine in to the ropes and then launches Montero in to Devine and lands a head an arm suplex on Montero. Da Hoodz whip Montero in to the ropes and Cash lands a dropkick to the knee followed by a bridging chinlock/knee to the face combination. Cash works over Devine and makes the tag out and we get some double teaming from Da Hoodz. Devine comes back and dropkicks the knees out and lands double flatliners on both Hoodz but is unable to make the tag out. Hoodz try to double team again but Devine stops them and lands an Enzuigiri on Pyro and makes the tag out.

Montero comes in and lands a series of shots and sends both Hoodz to the floor and lands a big suicide dive to the floor. Devine picks up Montero in powerbomb position and tosses him out to the floor taking out both Hoodz. Montero rolls Pyro back in to the ring and we get a double stomp/frog splash combination for a near fall. Devine tries to powerbomb his partner on to one of Da Hoodz but it backfires and he ends up powerbombing him in to the buckle. Pyro hooks Montero and lands a SPANISH FLY from the top rope, Hoodz land a double team flipping Ace Crusher on Montero to score the win.

Winners Da Hoodz. Nice little tag match on this card. Da Hoodz get an impressive win while the Influence take their 2nd loss in a row.

We are scheduled for Jeremy Leary vs Brad Hollister however out come the Crusade for Change represented by House of Glory Elite Champion The Rouge Anthony Gangone and the Minute Men. Top Shelf Troy Nelson comes out of nowhere and cuts a promo making this a Six Man Tag Team Match.

Match 8

Dirt Dawg Jeremy Leary Top Shelf Troy Nelson and Brad Hollister vs the Crusade 4 Change-Anthony Gangone and the Minute Men-Tommy Trainwreck and Devin Blaze

Nelson goes right after Gangone with a series of punches and sends him face first in to the corner. Hollister locks in a side headlock and takes over Gangone and Leary blind tags in, however there's a nice double team spot from Leary and Hollister of a gutbuster/neckbreaker on Gangone. Hollister lands a series of shots on Blaze and the faces dominate. Leary locks in a side headlock on Blaze but Blaze counters in to a side headlock. Leary sends Blaze in to the corner and lands a big uppercut. Leary lands a whacky Lucha arm drag and then wrenches the arm and springs off the ropes in to an arm drag and the C4C bail out for a little bit. Leary goes for a dive but gets caught and then Hollister lands a big dive to the floor. Nelson teases a dive to the floor but Skylar stops him and then climbs the ropes herself and lands a big dive to the floor.

Leary goes to get back in the ring but the Minute Men grab his leg enabling Gangone to attack from behind. Gangone lands a series of shots and sends Leary in to the ropes and lands a big elbow. Minute Men double team Leary and land a double team move on Leary. C4C work over Leary for a little bit but Leary eventually lands a big powerslam on Blaze and makes the hot tag out. Hollister comes in and lands a series of shots and cleans house and lands a double German Suplex on both Minute Men.

Minute Men go after Hollister and just toss him in to the ropes and Hollister takes the Enzo Amore spot throat first in to the bottom rope taking him out of the match. Gangone and Minute Men go after Skylar at ringside. Nelson goes to check on Skylar and Leary gets in to it with Nelson and puts the boots to Nelson. C4C work over Nelson with the Minute Men landing a double codebreaker and drop Nelson on his head. Gangone picks up Nelson and lands a vicious piledriver for the win.

Winners Crusade 4 Change-Anthony Gangone and the Minute Men. Fine semi main event. Some good spots early on especially Skylar doing the dive instead of Nelson. This match is more of a use to set up the Leary/Nelson feud which will see the two take on each other on Oct 29th in an Over the Rope Under the Table Match.

Main Event

Donavan Dijak vs AR Fox

Dijak and Fox lock up, and Dijak forces Fox in to the corner and breaks clean. Dijak wrenches the arm and Fox rolls through but Dijak gets the wristlock and Fox tries to counter with a series of arm drags, but eventually gets a backslide for a near fall. Dijak forces Fox in to the corner and lands a series of elbows, but Fox comes back and lands a series of suicide dives but goes for a third one and Dijak dives back in to the ring  and lands a spinning kick to the face. Dijak hooks Fox and lands a big drop suplex. Dijak sends Fox in to the corner and lands a series of elbows in the corner. Fox comes back and lands a big corner clothesline and lands a series of elbows and does a wacky dropkick flipping back in to the ring somehow. Dijak takes Fox to the floor and beats him around ringside. Dijak goes for a suplex back in to the ring and Fox rolls through to his feet and lands a big dive to the floor, and then a DDT on the apron.

Fox rolls Dijak in to the ring and lands a big SWANTON BOMB for a near fall. Dijak goes for FEAST YOUR EYES but Fox counters with a roll up for a near fall. Dijak goes for a chokebreaker and again Fox rolls up Dijak again for another near fall. Fox lands a series of shots and lands a reverse frankensteiner and climbs the ropes and lands the 450 Splash for a near fall. Dijak comes back and lands a SUPER CHOKEBREAKER for a near fall. Dijak climbs the ropes but Fox counters and goes for a big move off the ropes but Dijak counters and throws Fox off. Dijak goes for a split legged moonsault but Fox gets the knees up. Fox goes for another reverse frankensteiner and Dijak counters and Fox is on his shoulders, Fox goes for a wheelbarrow bulldog but Dijak counters and lands FEAST YOUR EYES and scores the fall.

Winner: Donavan Dijak. Very good match between these two. Some great spots including the sequence at the end and Dijak gets the win.

After the match. Ace Romero who had been on commentary for the match hits the ring, Ace and Dijak brawl and have to be pulled apart and Dijak escapes through the crowd. Ace Romero vs Donavan Dijak is set for the next show.

Really good show overall. A solid opening match with Ace/Dunn, some great tag team action throughout the show. Also a really good match with Ciampa/Bell. Main event is great and sets up to the next show's main event. To find out more check out www.limitlesswrestling.com .
