Why Betting on Boxing is Poised to Become a Major US Market

Sports betting was legalized in June in the States. Reports have it that the US market could end up being the largest sports betting in the world. This is in the next five years.

According to Gambling Compliance, the sports betting the market will rise from $3.1 billion to $5.2 billion in 2023. It's why new popular betting companies like utnyttja oddsbonusar are coming up, where you can bet and play all your favorite casino games. All you would need is a smart device and a working internet connection to get you started.

Boxing: A Sport That Remains as Popular as Ever

Many games ebb away over the years. However, when it comes to boxing, fans today love it as much as they loved it a century back.

Yes, boxing is one of the most popular sports in the world. However it is not as popular as football or rugby, but it still ranks at the top.

Traditional mainstream media have continued reporting that Boxing is a dying sport. However, data since the '90s proves that it is one of the most viewed sports.

Boxing for a long time has continued to receive less mainstream compared to MMA and WWE. However, data has it that it has the most revenue from pay per view(PPV). Mainstream media has continued to tarnish the name of boxing but it has no data to prove this.

MMA has continued to grow over the past decade but it has not superseded the events of boxing. For instance, Boxing attributes to 27 events, MMA has 15 events while WWE ranks at third with 9 events.

Boxing is making headlines a.s this can be attributed to the growing number. Since 1990, the overall buy rates have ever been increasing. This can be attributed to the ever-increasing population in the US. For instance, in 2017 the population in America was estimated to be 325.7 million.

However, it is crucial to note that even though the market is growing, it can be attributed to the new generation of boxing stars. Mike Tyson and Lennox Tyson did make moves back in the old days, but a boxer like Floyd Mayweather is making shockwaves.
For instance, in 2017, during the Mayweather and Connor McGregor fight, nearly three million streamed to watch the fight.

The good news gets better for the boxing industry. Just thinking about it if boxing has continued to dominate PPV what will result now that sports betting is legal?

Boxing has a diverse audience. The numbers are bound to be impressive in the coming days. A lot of young viewers are engrossed in sports betting. This means that they will get engrossed more and more into the sport.

The US can take some lessons from the UK. The UK has an impressive attention at boxing during live events. Gambling is a major reason why boxing is so popular.

Boxing will grow and one day it will be the most viewed sport in the US.
