WWE 205 Live

Written by Nickolye

It's time for another episode of 205 Live on the WWE Network! Buddy Murphy is still the Cruiserweight Champion and has Tony Nese by his side. Cedric Alexander has always had Mustafa Ali's back as they've been friends for a long time. Tonight, we'll see Alexander and Ali against Nese and Murphy in tag team action. Which team will get the victory? Tune in for all the details. Hit F5 to refresh the live recap!

Drake Maverick lets us know what is coming up tonight: Noam Dar vs. Mike Kanellis for the first time ever, Hideo Itami makes his return to the show, and the tag team match between Nese and Murphy vs. Ali and Alexander. Cue the open credits! The Kanellis couple head to the ring first and we get clips from 205 Live last week where they set up The Lucha House Party to get attacked.

* Mike Kanellis vs. Noam Dar

They lock up, Kanellis backs him into a corner, blows a kiss to Maria, and Dar waves at her while she joins commentary. They trade waistlock holds, Dar kicks him in the leg, waves at Maria again, goes after Mike on the outside, and slams his head on the announce table. Maria gets up to distract Dar, which works because Mike Kanellis attacks him from behind, delivers a suplex on the floor, then puts him back in the ring for a 2-count. He continues the attack, puts him in a chinlock, but then misses a flying crossbody. Dar ducks a clothesline, does a running dropkick, throat thrust, uppercut, and a running forearm smash in a corner. Kanellis plants him with a spinebuster then The Lucha House Party's music plays as Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik come out! Kalisto sneak attacks Kanellis off the distraction, Dar hits the Nova Roller, covers and gets the 3-count! WINNER: NOAM DAR.

Vic Joseph mentions The LHP having success on Monday Night Raw. Then we switch to Aira Tozawa training with Brian Kendrick backstage firing him up in the process. We go to backstage with Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher and they use distasteful words for Kendrick, and Gulak even calls him a "homeless Leonardo DiCaprio." Gulak tells Kendrick that next week when Kendrick steps to him he will tap out.

* Hideo Itami vs. local talent

Itami's opponent is named Levy Cruise. Itami boots him in the face at the bell, shouts "Respect me," hits a running knee to the midsection, kicks him in the back, shouts again, suplexes the man on the ropes, kicks him in the chest, goes up top for a diving kneedrop to the back, quick strikes followed by a backfist, connects with the hesitation dropkick, hits the inverted GTS and gets the 3-count. WINNER: HIDEO ITAMI.

Itami starts to beat the man down after the match, and out comes ARIYA DAIVARI!! It's been 7 months since we've seen him! He storms to the ring, steps through the ropes, stares at Itami the whole time, goes face to face with him, and stomps on Levy Cruise. Daivari picks him up, tells a confused Itami to hit him, so Itami boots him in the face. Itami doesn't know what to make of it until Daivari tells him "I resepct you." They shake hands but Itami is still perplexed as Daivari exits the ring.

TJP is in Drake Maverick's office complaining about not getting a title shot, and the GM mentions that he lost to Gran Metalik last week as one reason why. TJP says he beat him in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic, Maverick says that was two years ago, TJP says his problem is more of what happens on Raw, then Mike and Maria barge in to complain about The Lucha House Party. TJP says he took all three of their masks, Maria reminds him that they had a favor in place and they're in this together, TJP says he's in, and Maverick will "consider it." Maria says she wants not just any match, she wants a tag team tornado match against the luchas next week. Maverick says that match is a highlight and makes the match then asks them to leave.

We get a promo package for Lucha House Party as the tag tornado match is official for next week. The main event is up next! Ali is the first man out followed by his boy Alexander, and they are ready to go while they wait as Tony Nese shows off his abs and Buddy Murphy shows off his Cruiserweight Championship.

* Mustafa Ali & Cedric Alexander

Alexander and Nese start the match, they lock up, Nese backs him into a corner, shows off his bicep, lock up again, Alexander takes an arm, Nese reverses the hold, Alexander flips out of it and counters. Nese leapfrogs over him, Alexander with a waistlock, Irish whip, Nese hits an elbow, backflips over him, kips up, Alexander catches his leg, backflips into a headscissors, dropkicks him and covers for 2. Ali tags in, Alexander dropkicks Nese, Ali hits a basement dropkick, 2-count, Nese backs him into the corner, Murphy tags in, stomps Ali down, then taunts Alexander.

Ali tries to fight back, headscissors, pop-up dropkick, Alexander tags in, Murphy tags out, Alexander clobbers Nese, back kick, dropkick to Nese's legs, running kick from the apron, and an uppercut. Murphy tags himself in, waits for Alexander to be caught off-guard, connects with a juming knee and covers for 2. Murphy takes control over Alexander, Nese tags back in, snapmare, kick to the back, then applies a body scissors with his powerful legs. Alexander fights out with elbows, Nese tags Murphy in for a double suplex, Alexander lands on his feet and fights them both off.

Ali gets the hot tag, springboard crossbody to both men, knock-downs to Murphy, side-steps onto the apron, kicks him in the head, hits the slingshot rolling facebuster, sunset flip rolling through and sit-out powerbomb connects for 1-2-KICKOUT! Murphy shoves Ali's face into the middle turnbuckle, Ali recovers, Murphy blocks the tornado DDT, Ali counters a suplex, Murphy hits a back elbow and kicks him out the ring while Nese held down the middle rope. Nese tags in, taunts and poses, shoves his back into the ring apron, throws him back in the ring and gets a 2-count. Nese gloats towards Alexander, stomps on Ali, tags out while standing on Ali's hair, Murphy in and covers for 2. Murphy socks him in the mouth, stomp, Ali counters a fisherman's suplex with an inside cradle for 2, Murphy clotheslines him inside out and gets a near-fall.

They whip Ali into their corner, Ali tosses Murphy onto the apron, tosses Nese into him and both heels fall out the ring. Ali starts the slow crawl to his corner, side-steps Murphy tossing him out, crawls again, but Murphy pulled Alexander off the apron just before Ali could outstretch. Nese hits a running back elbow to Ali while Alexander was away and covers for a near-fall. Murphy tags in, goes back on offense over Ali, glares at Alexander, back kick to Ali, kicks, Ali swats him away and hits a spinning heel kick. Murphy grabs Ali's leg as he reaches for his corner to tag out, but Ali still broke free and tagged out as well.

Fresh off the hot tag Alexander clotheslines Nese twice, hits the hard back elbow, running kick to Murphy, boots Nese in the face, and hits the springboard flatliner for a close near-fall. Alexander takes off his elbow pad, kicks Murphy off the apron, Nese hits a palm strike while Alexander was on the top rope, Murphy tags in, Nese puts Alexander in the electric chair position while Murphy goes up top, Alexander counters and shoves Nese into Murphy. Ali tags in, they both go up to Murphy while standing on Nese's back, they lose balance and MURPHY AND ALI FALL TO THE FLOOR!

Alexander kicks Nese out the ring and hits the tope con hilo! All four men are down and out, Murphy crawls back into the ring, Ali goes in as well, Murphy hits the jumping knee, Ali counters Murphy's Law, rolls him up for 1-2-NO, Alexander tags himself in as Ali hits the sprngboard tornado DDT, Alexander hits the LUMBAR CHECK AND GETS THE 1-2-3!! WINNERS: CEDRIC ALEXANDER and MUSTAFA ALI.

Cedric Alexander just pinned the Cruiserweight Champion. Nigel McGuinness says that it took two men to do so. Murphy and Nese try to recover outside the ring as that was the first time Murphy was pinned since becoming Cruiserweight Champion. That's all for 205 Live!
