Our coverage of ECW is as always LIVE so hit F5 or refresh for the latest updates! As an interesting twist we'll ALSO be bringing you any updates on the 2008 Presidential campaign as projections come in during the show. At 8:55 PM EST, CNN is projecting that Barack Obama holds 102 electoral votes to McCain's 34 (270 needed to win). Back on Sci-Fi the WWE cameras found one fan in the crowd with a "Hardy 4 President" sign. I'd cast my vote for Mattitude. Within the last minute McCain picked up 9 electoral votes on CNN and now holds 43. I'm not sure which state they put in his win column. Ahh, it's Alabama. ECW goes live in two minutes!

WHOA. At the top of the hour Obama jumped to 174 and McCain to 49. Obama picked up New York, Michigan, Rhode Island, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Time for E-C-Dubya! (That's the ONLY Dubya that will win tonight.) Tonight's show comes to us from Orlando, Florida - with Florida being one of the states that is still too close to call. Matt Hardy is on his way out to the ring! Striker calls him "everybody's favorite superstar" and even if that's an exaggeration he's certainly one of mine. He proudly displays the title belt to the approval of the crowd.

* Matt Hardy {C} v. Bam Neely (Non-Title Match)

Oh jeez. What a buzzkill for a Matt Hardy match - he has to face Boring Bam. I'm even annoyed that Bam shared three letters of his name with Obama. The two lock up in the middle of the ring and Hardy snapmares him over. Bam gets back to his feet and takes the left arm, then puts Matt in a headlock. Hardy fights out but gets run over with a shoulder tackle, but Hardy responds with a hip toss and clothesline for a 2 count. Bam kicks Matt in the spine then hits him with a series of slams before a near fall. Grisham calls this the biggest match of Bam's career and I certainly hope he never has a bigger one. Striker continues to pull references out of his ass and manages to work both Jake 'The Milkman' Milliman and AC/DC into the play by play. Hardy goes for a top rope crossbody but Bam catches him and powers him down for 2. Hardy hits a neckbreaker for 2.5 and gets up holding his back. To the second rope - AHHHH, and the top rope elbow. Side Effect! Near fall. Matt wants a Twist of Fate but Bam powers him into the corner. Matt blocks him charging in with a boot to the head then hits a DDT for 2.8. Matt goes to the top, Bam cuts him off and hits a superplex! 2.9 on the near fall and Bam is sure it was 3. Bam pulls Matt up but Matt counters into a Twist of Fate for 3! WINNER: THE ECW CHAMPION, MATT HARDY.

Striker calls Matt Hardy "ever resilient" and I'd have to agree. Finlay's music hits and he and Hornswoggle make their way down to a ring, but before we can find out why ECW goes to a commercial break. Meanwhile over on CNN it's still 174-49 in favor of Obama at 9:10 PM EST. Democrats also hold 52 seats in the Senate right now with many of the elections yet to be projected, so Republicans are really getting hit hard tonight.

We're back with a promo for Ricky Ortiz promoing a show called Cha$e debuting next week on ECW. Finlay is in the ring and tells Hardy he's taken on all comers since he won, all that is except for one... him. "You and me, one on one, for the ECW Championship." Hardy: "I knew this day would come, and to tell you the truth I'm looking forward..." but Mark Henry's music interrupts. "I'm not letting this happen! You see, there's no way that you're gonna come out here and get a title shot. That's MY title shot. I deserve it! I'm the World's Strongest Man." Finlay: "We know! You tell us every week! Nobody wants to see you get another title shot! If they did you'd have gotten more than 4 votes at Cyber Sunday, and two of them are you and Tony Atlas." Hardy: "Actually one of them was me too." Henry: "Finlay you talk real tough for a man who's never beaten me, that is unless you hit me with a shilelagh or hide behind a leprechaun." Finlay: "You bring him into this you'll lose more than a title match!"

Teddy Long interrupts. "Players, that's enough of that talk. I'm gonna settle this right now. Matt, next week, you'll defend the title against the winner of our main event - Mark Henry vs. Finlay! Holla." Teddy's music plays and he's Audi 5000. Henry seems confidant, but Finlay gives a smile and a nod to Matt as we go to commercial... with a promo for Boogeyman in the process. At 9:15 PM EST it's now 64 electoral votes for McCain, 174 for Obama. In New Hampshire, Jeanne Shaheen is recognizing the 12 years of service of her opponent John Sununu, who has been projected to lose the NH race. Democrates now hold 55 seats in the Senate.

We're back with a ticking clock that WM25 tickets are available in just 3 days and 15 hours. Grisham says we're coming to you live on the most important day of the year, Election Day! We also get a promo for Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 with a video game version of last night's Morrison & Miz v. D-Generation X match.

* Ricky Ortiz v. Jon Davis

Davis is already in the ring when Ortiz comes out, which is a bad sign for Mr. Davis. Ortiz stops on his way to the ring to hand a rally towel to a young fan. Striker reminds us that Ortiz is 5-0 since his ECW debut. Davis refuses to shake his hand and eats a dropkick to the head for his arrogance. Ortiz goes for a splash in the corner and misses, but Ortiz easily reverses an overhead suplex then picks him up for another slam instead of going for a pin. Second rope headbutt! Time for THA BIG O. He connects with the splash and hooks the leg for three and his 6th win! THE VICTORY GOES TO RICKY 'THA BIG O' ORTIZ.

Say goodnight Mr. Davis, thanks for joining us. Even Striker says you should cast your vote for Ortiz! We get a recap of Evan Bourne's injury on ECW last week as Striker notes the right ankle was dislocated and there are torn ligaments to boot. Grisham notes he'll be out four months. Striker says despite the injury he had the tenacity to finish his match. We get a promo for Finlay v. Henry as we go to break. It's 9:25 EST and over on CNN Wolf Blitzer is saying we'll have "a big projection" coming up after commercial. I'll have to find out what that is the next time ECW goes to break as we're coming back to wrestling at 9:28 EST. ECW rated better than college football on ESPN2 by 150% last week. Interesting. Useless, but interesting.

* 'No One On the Corner Has' Jack Swagger Headed to the Ring

He's got a mic and a table full of PLUNDAH. "Last week, Tommy Dreamer was bragging about how he's been in this business for 19 years. He was bragging until I beat him in our match. It's true, Tommy has been in ECW since day one. That may sound impressive, I don't know what he's done in all that time. Let's see." Dreamer grabs a stick. "He first made his name when some drunk named Sandman was beating him with a cane. I guess he was trying to prove how tough he was, how hardcore he was. Of course Tommy received the beating because he lost a match to the Sandman. I guess some things never change. Tommy didn't lose all of his matches. He actually won one, and became ECW Champion. You guys remember this right! It's the OLD ECW title. Old like Tommy Dreamer. Of course his title reign didn't last long - about 30 minutes. We've been on air longer than that tonight!" Swagger drops the belt into a garbage can. "Here's a chapter that was significant both inside and outside of the ring. This is Beulah McGillicuddy. Tommy's in-ring girlfriend turned out-of-ring wife. They've been married for six years and have beautiful twin daughters who are probably at home now watching. Beulah, how does it feel to know your man is past his prime. Of course that implies he HAD a prime. Your husband is a FAILURE. Which means you MARRIED a failure. Which means your kids will probably grow up to BE failures. There's still hope. You can find a role model, someone like The All-American American Jack Swagger." Big smile. "I'll let you, look up to me! Because if I don't you'll end up working at a fast food place, dating the manager..."

Dreamer interrupts by running down to the ring, kicking a can into Dreamer's face, grabbing a singapore cane and threatening Swagger with it as he bails to the ouside. We get another promo for Finlay v. Henry as we go to break. At 9:35 on CNN they are now projecting that Barack Obama wins Ohio. He now has 194 electoral votes to McCain's 69. Obama only needs 76 electoral votes now to clinch the White House. Given that I voted for Obama today I'm feeling pretty good about that fact. On Sci-Fi it's time for the Raw Rebound so we've got a little more time to follow the election returns. In case you missed it, Chris Jericho defeated Bore-tista in the main event steel cage match to get back the World Heavyweight Title. W00T~! CNN's pundit is figuring that McCain will take Nebraska, but he forgets we can split the electoral vote here (and I'm certainly hoping we do). Cena will face Jericho for the title at Survivor Series '08 in a few weeks.

* #1 Contender's Match - Fit Finlay (with Hornswoggle) v. Mark Henry (with Tony Atlas)

Striker says the ground literally shakes when "the mecurial Mark Henry" makes his way to the ring. Henry and Finlay glare at each other before the ref calls for the bell, then circle each other cautiously. As they talk smack to each other a fan in the crowd holds up a sign reading "TNA SUX. WHAT!" Henry overpowers and shoves Finlay to the ground several times. Grisham: "I don't think he wants to get into a power battle with Mark Henry." Striker: "That's great analysis. I feel like I'm sitting next to Susan St. James at WrestleMania 2." Yes but Grisham hasn't belted out an annoying UHH-OHH yet. Either accidentally or on purpose Henry seems to have caught Finlay in the face at least once as he has a bruise, but it's not long before Finlay cocks him in the face as a receipt. Henry slams him to the ground to get him off, but Finlay hits shoulders to the midsection through the ropes. Henry responds with a knee to the jaw and another straight right hand before going for a cover. He pulls Finlay up, Finlay tries to fight back, Henry continues to overpower him. The crowd is almost silent save for a few boos. Grisham and Striker make gay jokes before Henry starts working over the left arm, Hornswoggle looks on concerned, and we go to break.

New Mexico is being projected for Obama. Louisiana is being projected for McCain. At 9:48 PM EST that brings us to 199 for Obama, 78 for McCain. After another promo for Cha$e we return to ECW with Mark Henry clubbering the beejezus out of Finlay. Striker tells us Henry's been working over the arm all throughout the break, and notes we should keep an eye on Atlas on the outside. He also suggests Finlay should try to chop down the legs, to which Grisham responds those legs are like giant sequoia trees. Unfortunately the commentary is more interesting than the match because watching Henry on offense is like watching paint dry. At least the crowd is trying to cheer Finlay on for a comeback. Finlay tries to push off and run the ropes but smacks into Henry like a brick wall. With only four minutes to the top of the hour if Finlay's going to make a comeback, the time is now. I miss the days when ECW used to go five over the top. Finlay finally gets to Henry's left leg and once he's grounded Finlay tries to beat the crap out of him. Henry gets back to his feet and throws Finlay out to the floor, where he clubs Tony Atlas down when he tries to interfere. Finlay snaps Henry's neck off the ropes and comes bac in slowly. Atlas tries to come in the ring, the ref sees him and goes to block it, Hornswoggle runs in and Henry catches him but Finlay uses the distraction to chop the leg. This only gets a two count. Henry chases Hornswoggle out of the ring and throws him into a steel post. Henry throws Horny in but misses BOTHmen on a big splash. While the ref throws Horny out, Finlay cracks Henry with the shilelagh and gets the three! WINNER AND NEW #1 CONTENDER: FIT FINLAY. Grisham claims Finlay just gave Florida a whole new definition of "swing state" as ECW goes off the air!

Back on CNN, Utah is being projected for John McCain as is Kansas. That brings him up to 89 electoral votes. Meanwhile Obama is sitting at 206 so another state must have gone to him while we were in ECW's main event. I'll update this again when Obama gets to 270. It's 10:01 PM EST right now.

AT 11:00 PM EST, 10 CENTRAL CNN PROJECTS THAT WITH A WIN IN CALIFORNIA BARACK OBAMA IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES~!
