After his world title victory at Rebellion last night, Brian Cage was rushed to the emergency room for an a back injury. It's not a storyline injury, and it happened when he hit a Spanish Fly from the ramp to the floor. (PWI) Cage's girlfriend Melissa Santos comments: "At the ER with @MrGMSI_BCage and we are waiting to be seen, his back was injured. Brian CageThank you for the support during this worrisome time. Will keep everyone updated." Later Cage himself commented: "Not how I wanted or ever imagined this incredible night would end. I've chased this moment and have dreamt about this my entire life. And to have this be the outcome, I'd be lying if I said it didn't break my heart."

Match officially starts, maybe one of the best matches I've seen at a House Show. Velveteen by pin fall [Match Time 15:38].

On his latest podcast Eric Bischoff says WCW fired 2 Cold Scorpio for smoking 2 Much Weed: "Drug testing was not really a very effective science in WCW at the time. And admittedly it was not, especially for marijuana, nobody had their sights set on anybody that smoked weed, but with Scorpio, you just, he'd be out in the parking lot smoking weed, he'd walk in to catering once he got to the building and he smelled like a cannabis factory, it just, we had to do it, we had to fire him. And it was too bad, because number one, I liked him, he was a cool guy, but he was an amazing, amazing performer, who had all the potential in the world, but we just couldn't get him to put down the ganja."

Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler will have a combined meet 'n greet at Starrcast.

Back to Eric Bischoff again for a minute -- he was asked on social media if WCW put wrestling on Thursdays to help Hulk Hogan's TV show and this was his response: "Strictly a decision by Ted Turner to strengthen the numbers for TBS. Nothing to do w Thunder in Paradise."

1:00 PM ET. Thanks to an interview on Busted Open Radio this morning we know from the man himself that Brian Cage is going to be okay: "So right away, right when we hit, I'm rolling and I feel the pain shoot down my leg. Just a feeling I've never had before in my life. I'm instantly thinking ruptured disk or whatever. My back is f***ed and I'm gonna have to have surgery or something. Sorry I dropped the f-bomb there but. Maybe it'll go away and just trying to enter the ring after that moment and I'm bleeding and what not. Rolling into the ring, turning my hip over and trying to get up, I just felt like there was no strength there and the pain shot down my leg again. I was like, 'Crap', but it felt almost a little bit better so that gave me a tiny bit help. I'm like, 'Okay, well, maybe it'll subside here in a second. Maybe it's just a flash thing', and then, I think I was in a corner and I evaded Johnny and I was trying to move and I couldn't. I just felt so slow and no pun intended, so robotic in my mannerisms and movement because of the pain. 'Okay, this is serious', and again, just like I said during the opening of the interview, I didn't know to what degree. 'Am I gonna need back surgery now? Like what's wrong? What's going on? I don't know because I've never had this type of pain in my back and also, it felt nerve-related so-to-speak. Yeah it doesn't look like I'm going out. The way I looked at it, he goes, 'Look, I think you're gonna be fine. I think you have severe inflammation and bone bruise. There could be a small fracture there'. He goes, 'I would like to rule that out. However, if it's a fracture, I don't see it being any major fracture' and then he goes, 'Even then, it's not much you can do for that.'" TL/DR it's a bruise and inflammation and probably won't need surgery.

In this interview 'Mr. Wonderful' Phil Davis says he wouldn't rule out pro wrestling: "Not yet. I know some other guys have expressed some interest in WWE. I know King Mo has and got started up a little bit. You never know. Maybe later on. Immediately after college, that was something I talked about with some of my close friends. It's hard. Those guys get beat up. If I'm going to get beat up, it's going to be for real. I don't want it to be scripted, I want to know that I'll win. I like for my efforts to amount to my wins and losses."

Speaking of MMA, Chris Jericho is doing training with Josh Rafferty ahead of his match with Kenny Omega at AEW's Double or Nothing next month. And speaking of AEW here's a new Being The Elite.

In case you had forgotten how much of a badass she is, here's Jordynne Grace doing squats while Tessa Blanchard sits on her shoulders.

2:00 PM ET. Speaking to Lilian Garcia, Corey Graves talks about his friendship with Seth Rollins: "Seth's one of my closest friends in WWE. I used to travel with him a lot. I've known him back from the independents years ago and we'd always see each other once in a blue moon, always kind of had a cool rapport. And then when I got to FCW at the time, pre-NXT, he was there and he was kind of the closest thing I had at the time to really a friend of any sort just being that we sort of knew each other. And he kind of showed me the ropes and kind of taught me how to stay afloat there until I got comfortable. And then he and I and Ambrose and Juice Robinson would ride together all over, every show, every week, so I got to know all those guys really well. Except for Ambrose because he still like... does his own thing."

From WWNLive.com: "Last weekend saw some interesting developments. The result is an EVOLVE Championship Match that you probably thought you'd never see. It started when a fan posted a GIF of Nate Webb doing a crazy move at the 2006 ROH Cage Of Death. Then ROH booker and current WWN VP Of Talent Relations Gabe Sapolsky responded by saying he never made good on a promise to book Webb after Cage Of Death. Sapolsky apologized, but Webb didn't care. Things escalated between the two. You can catch up with everything @BookItGabe and Webb's Twitter. The match is now official because of Austin Theory's EVOLVE Championship Open Challenge. Webb will get an opportunity in his hometown. It will now be Theory vs. Webb with the EVOLVE Title on the line at EVOVLE 128 on May 11th in Indianapolis, IN."

Brian Cage will miss tonight's Impact taping due to his back injury. (WO)

Jeff Cobb, Famous B and XO Lishu (AEW's Sonny Kiss) are all allegedly seeking representation to ensure their release from Lucha Underground after promotions like AEW & ROH received "cease & desist" letters from LU for using them. (LC) That's ironic given they just gave free and clear releases to Joey Ryan, Ivelisse Velez and Kobra Moon among others. Why would they f**k with Jeff Cobb and company when they gave releases to everyone else?
