XFL ESTABLISHES HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Stamford, Conn. -[ The XFL has established a health advisory committee comprised initially of experts in neurology, mental health, and orthopedics to support the health and wellness of XFL players.

The founding members of the XFL’s health advisory committee are Dr. Julian Bailes; Dr. Larry Lemak; and Dr. Claudia Reardon, representing the fields of neurosurgery, orthopedics and mental health, respectively. Dr. Bailes will serve as Chief Medical Advisor.

The league also appointed Daniel Wright, most recently the Head Athletic Trainer for the Milwaukee Brewers, as Vice President of Health and Safety. Wright, a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association for more than 30 years, will work with the health advisory committee to prepare and maintain the XFL’s health, wellness and safety policies, procedures and protocols. Wright will also hire, supervise, and evaluate the team athletic trainers.

“The health and safety of our players is an important focus on our path to reimagine football and deliver a great product to fans when we kick off in February 2020,” said XFL Commissioner & CEO Oliver Luck. “Putting in place the right experts and medical professionals is key. Our health advisory committee will work closely with our football operations department to create protocols and build best practice guidelines that put player health and safety at the forefront of everything we do.”

Dr. Bailes is considered a leading authority in neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury and research, and neurological sports medicine. He is Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at NorthShore University HealthSystem and Co-Director of the Northshore Neurological Institute in Evanston, Il. Jack Swagger news!

Capitol Wrestling is on the road to its first summer tour, beginning on June 24th with the first ever Capitol Wrestling television taping in Brooklyn, New York! On that night, some of Capitol's biggest stars as well as a debuting legend of the independent scene will look to make it into their opponent's Last Stop.

That is not all for the Jersey City based wrestling organization, as Capitol Wrestling is partnering with Wrestling For Innocence for a major television taping/fundraising event on August 11th inside Nashville's amazing Marathon Music Hall.

For the Capitol debut, Capitol and Wrestling for Innocence are scouring the globe for some of the industry's biggest free agents, and we're happy to announce that Bellator heavyweight and former Lucha Underground, WWE, and ECW (WWE) world champion Jake Hager (FKA Jack Swagger), has signed on not only to do a meet and greet, but also compete on Capitol Wrestling Television.

Hager, who was an All-American at Oklahoma University, has nearly a decade of experience in the squared circle and has transitioned to the Bellator cage, going undefeated in two attempts in 2018.

Mr. Hager's meet and greet will not only be a part of Capitol's VIP ticket package, but also, all sales of his meet and greet will go towards Wrestling For Innocence, a brand dedicated to educating and fighting against wrongful convictions.

Wrestling For Innocence brings Capitol to Nashville to help raise awareness for the case of Adam Braseel, who was wrongfully convicted of Murder in 2006.

For Tickets to Capitol's August debut in Nashville, head to MarathonMusicWorks.com.

In this interview Lacey Evans says she learned how to trash talk in boot camp: "Let me tell you: three months of United States Marine Corps boot camp and you can trash talk like no other. For three months, from start to finish, the morning I woke up to the minute I went to bed, that's all they ever did which is where the term 'nasties' comes from because in the Marines Corps, it doesn't matter how fast you were, how smart you were, you were always a nasty thing. They could always find something that wasn't good enough and whether it was a second too late in a run or if you did a push up too slow, you were a nasty thing. The reason they said that was to always keep you motivated, to keep you working harder. Other than that, my dad had a pretty sharp tongue as well. That really helped me be able to come up with the verbiage needed to keep the crap talking and make everyone else stand down. If you have something to say about me, I promise you, I have three more things I could say back about you."

Pro Wrestling Legend Reveals Bone-Chilling Moments Before Kerry Von Erich's Suicide

Former WCCW, GWF, NWA, and WWE star Black Bart was a recent guest of the Pancakes and Powerslams Show to discuss the Dark Side of the Ring.

Bart went into shocking detail about the final moments of Kerry Von Erich before his suicide, as well as his drug problem.

"I wrestled Kerry, and I was around him a lot. But, when he left to go to [WWE] as Texas Tornado, or whatever they did up there to try to bury him, that's what they were trying to do is bury [him], but he made something out of it, and I give him all the credit for that. But when he left, he had a cocaine problem. And he got zapped. When he [came] back home, he bought more cocaine, and get zapped again. By I mean zapped, I mean the cops got him. And he was facing time.

"I wrestled Kerry that Friday night at the Sportatorium in a cage match, loser leaves. I beat him to the door, one of the first times ever, and double juiced, the whole nine yards. And he went out with his wife, his ex-wife, had two little beautiful daughters, and asked if him and her could get back together. She said, there's no way, no shape, form, or [fashion]. He wrote on a napkin – on the table – that tomorrow, I walk with my brothers. He went that next morning out to Fritz's ranch, and went out and took a jeep and put a .44 right through his chest. [Blew] his heart out the backside. It went in the size of a .44, and came out the size of a basketball. Fritz knew he was out there, and he waited 8, 9 hours before he even went out there."
