WWE 205 Live

It's time for another episode of 205 Live on the WWE Network! WWE 205 Live is back again in the Performance Center. Who will do battle in the cruiserweight division? Tune in for all the details. Hit F5 to refresh the live recap.

The intro to 205 Live is noticably different, with certain superstars omitted and new clips including cruiserweights on NXT included. Byron Saxton welcomes us to the show and Drew Gulak returns for commentary.

* Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vs. Matt Martel (w/ Chase Parker)

They lock up, Martel with an armdrag, and he celebrates. They lock up, Martel with a side headlock, Swerve pushes him off, Martel hits a shoulder block, Swerve pops back up and armdrags him. Parker goes to check on his partner and Martel yells to give him a second. Martel backs him into a corner, loudly gloats, they lock up again, Swerve gets the mount, swerves around into a headscissors takedown, Martel chops him, Swerve chops him back a few times, Martel hits forearms, and Swerve chops and punches him. Swerve catches him with a running uppercut in a corner, gets on the ropes, and Chase Parker pulls him down into the ropes in front of referee. WINNER by DQ: ISAIAH "SWERVE" SCOTT.

The team of Ever-Rise continue their 2-on-1 beatdown on Swerve until TONY NESE runs down chasing them away. Swerve looks uneasy, Nese challenged them to a tag match, but Swerve looks incredulous as he doesn't trust Nese after they had a show-long match last week. The referee makes it official (no pun intended) and we're getting a tag match! Swerve tries to make sense of this while Nese strangely acts nice to him all of a sudden after they've had beef for weeks. Well, here we go!

* Isaiah "Swerve" Scott & Tony Nese vs. Ever-Rise

Swerve convinces Nese they he's going to start the match, but him doing so allows Chase Parker to attack him from behind right at the bell, Matt Martel tags in and uppercuts Swerve. Parker taga back in, punches him, Martel shouts at Swerve that he's nothing, Swerve retaliates with a suplex to Parker, but doesn't want to tag out. Even Martel yells at Werve not to trust his partner because "he's a snake." Parker punches Swerve, Nese makes the blind tag, single leg on Parker, front facelock, Irish whip, running back elbow, and a 2-count. Nese calls for a tag, Swerve hesitates before making one, double suplex onto Parker, Nese applauds his partner, and Swerve makes the cover for 2. Swerve puts him in a single leglock, Parker pulls him face-first into the turnbuckles, and makes the tag.

Martel with a snapmare, elbow to the top of the head, 1-count, then puts Swerve in an armbar. Parker tags back in, forearm smash in a corner, Martel with a drop toehold, Parker jumps off Martel's back for an elbow drop and gets a 2-count. Parker puts him in a front facelock, Swerve reaches for a tag, counters with a jawbreaker, and Parker grabs his leg to prevent the tag. Martel tries to sweep Nese's legs, but Nese cartwheels over him, and hits him in the jaw with a forearm before getting back on the apron. Swerve escapes Parker's clutches and punches him in the mouth to get space and make the hot tag.

Nese jumps in the ring, knee to the face, running kick to the side of the head, spinning heel kick, and a running back elbow in a corner. Martel runs in, Nese throws him back out, drops Parker's neck on the top rope while landing a plancha onto Martel, then lands a springboard moonsault onto Parker for a 2-count. Nese hits Martel with an enzuigiri, Parker drops Nese with the Gory Bomb, and Swerve breaks up the count. All four men start punching each other, Swerve and Martel fight out on the floor, and Swerve throws Martel into the barricade. Nese sends Parker into a corner, Parker goes for a sunset flip, Nese rolls through with a roundhouse kick, drags him into the lower turnbuckle, and conects with the Running Kneese. Swerve is given the final say as he tags in, climbs up top, hits the double stomp onto Parker's shoulder, then pins his shoulders to the mat for the count of 3. WINNER: SWERVE & NESE.

Nese asks for a handshake, Swerve still looks weary, and the winners raise their arms in victory. Has Nese turned a new leaf?

We go back two days ago for NXT The Great American Bash (Night One) where the NXT Cruiserweight Champion was speaking passionately about lucha libre when Drake Maverick made his return. Maverick got beat down, but Breezango made the save and challenged the trio to a 6-man tag match for Night Two of The Great American Bash this Wednesday. Speaking of the champ, he makes his 205 Live debut next.

* Leon Ruff & Liam Gray vs. Legado Del Fantasma

The NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar is not wrestling tonight, he is merely accompanying his boys to the ring. Joaquin Wilde starts the match clotheslining Leon Ruff. I gotta be honest, Wilde looks a lot better now with this new look and attitude than he did when he debuted. He hits short-arm shoulder blocks, mat slam with an armbar, inverted atomic drop into a short splash, and follows up with a springboard moonsault. Raul Mendoza tags in, they both hit double back elbows, then Mendoza hiptosses Wilde rebounding off the ropes into a moonsault splash onto Ruff. Poor Ruff tries to fight back but Mendoza stomps on him, kicks him, chop to the chest, pulls him up into a swinging suplex, and Ruff finally gets the chance to tag out.

Liam Gray makes his debut as well, but he's met with a knee by Mendoza, a chop to the chest, but he avoids a suplex and starts punching Mendoza. Mendoza blasts him insde-out with a clothesline, delivers a spinning suplex, tags out, Wilde picks up Gray for a Russian Legsweep, coupled with a running gamengiri head-kick to Gray's face, Wilde floats into the cover and gets the 3-count. WINNERS: LEGADO DEL FANTASMA.

Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza and Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar stand in the middle of the ring to close out the show. That's all for 205 Live!
