Brodie LeeThere's no appropriate way to begin a paragraph that includes the words Brodie Lee (Jon Huber) is dead at 41 years old after a sudden decline in his health while being treated at the Mayo Clinic for a (non COVID related) lung issue. Here's what his wife Amanda had to say: "My best friend died today. I never wanted to write out those words. My heart is broken. The world saw him as the amazing @brodielee (fka Luke Harper) but he was my best friend, my husband, and the greatest father you would ever meet. No words can express the love I feel or how broken I am right now. He passed surrounded by love ones after a hard fought battle with a non Covid related lung issue. The @mayoclinic is literally the best team of doctors and nurses in the world who surrounded me with constant love. On top of that, I can't express my love and admiration for the way @allelitewrestling has treated not only my husband but myself and my kids. @margaret.stalvey @meghalegalgirl10 @americannightmarecody @thebrandirhodes @nickjacksonyb @mattjackson13 @kennyomegamanx @tonyrkhan and the rest of the team at AEW have helped keep me standing and pick up all the broken pieces. I've been surrounded by so much love and incredible people I can't tag them all but they know who they are and I don't think they will ever know how thankful I am for them."

It's a little hard to put into words how shocking this turn of events is. I had personally followed Huber's career since the 2000's, when I first saw him work in the top independent promotions of the day -- CHIKARA, Ring of Honor, Dragon Gate USA, and so on. In fact I'm happy to say that I had the chance to interview Brodie Lee at the height of his independent wrestling career before he went to WWE and became Luke Harper. Even though I felt he was misused and underutilized while there, I still cheered for every success that came his way, even when I thought there weren't nearly enough of them. Despite that he was still an NXT tag team champion, a two time WWE tag team champion, and an Intercontinental champion during his run there -- and he was most recently the AEW TNT champion before losing that title to Cody Rhodes (who subsequently lost it to Darby Allin). I'm just blown away by this news and my heart breaks for Amanda and their two sons Brodie and Nolan. On behalf of everyone at AngryMarks, my deepest condolences.

In addition WWE has released a statement about Huber's passing: "WWE is saddened to learn that Jon Huber, known to WWE fans as Luke Harper, passed away today at age 41. Known as both Luke Harper and Brodie Lee in the ring, Huber found success in every stop of his sports-entertainment career, as his soft spoken yet imposing presence helped him create countless awe-inspiring moments in the ring. After a highly decorated run on the independent circuit, Harper debuted in NXT as a menacing enforcer for The Wyatt Family. Harper had a dominant tag team run with Rowan that would lay the groundwork for future championship success. As a member of The Wyatt Family, he engaged in heated rivalries with the likes of Kane, Daniel Bryan, The Shield, John Cena and The Usos. After being set free from the family, Harper authored an impressive singles run that culminated with him defeating Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship. Harper & Rowan later comprised The Bludgeon Brothers and embarked on a path of destruction that was highlighted by a SmackDown Tag Team Title victory in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 34. WWE extends its condolences to Huber's family, friends and fans."

It appears that Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) wants to sever ties with Independent Wrestling TV (IWTV) allegedly due to IWTV falsely claiming ownership of masters to GCW shows. GCW owner Brett Lauderdale says IWTV confirmed GCW owns their shows less than a year ago but apparently both sides are now at an impasse where things can't be worked out.

Results from the STARDOM Year End Climax event are below. (wInc)

* Gokigen Death defeated Ruaka & Lady C
* Momo Watanabe defeated Saya Iida
* Mayu Iwatani & Starlight Kid defeated Riho & AZM
* Himeka & Natsupoi defeated Natsuko Tora & Saki Kashima
* DDM (Giulia, Syuri & Maika) defeated Cosmic Angels (Tam Nakano, Mina Shirakawa and Unagi Sayaka)
* Goddesses of Stardom Title Match: Bea Priestley & Konami defeated Utami Hayashis–ta & Saya Kamitani to become the new Champions

In this interview Luther talks about his main event tag match with Serpentico against Chris Jericho and Jake Hager on AEW Dynamite: "I was so happy for Serpentico. I was almost more happy for him than me. I was happy for Chris' celebration, but Serpentico came on as a daily guy for the COVID matches, we got put together as a random thing, which really worked. We gelled really well together and next thing you know we got to (do it). I tried my best. I don't want to make any excuses or anything, I did everything I had to do. I got a little something on my shoes that made my shoes super slippery. I got new shoes now. So, it was odd, and then I got into my head a little bit. I still tried. One of the best bat catches in wrestling history, I think. I did a good bat catch. Baseball is my thing."

After not appearing in WWE for six years since his father was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Carlito will be back for the "Legends Night" on the January 4th Raw.

Some non-WWE wrestling clips can be found below.

Via social media AEW President Tony Khan shared his reaction to Brodie Lee's death: "I'm devastated by the loss of Jon Huber, known to fans as Mr. Brodie Lee, formerly Luke Harper. Jon was a great man. His family came first, his loving wife Amanda & their sons Brodie + Nolan. He loved wrestling & was great at it, he loved you fans. Please keep him in your hearts."
