It's time for another WWE 205 Live recap for April 23, 2021 and it's in the Capitol Wrestling Center! Who will do battle in the cruiserweight division? Hit F5 to refresh the live recap.

Tom Phillips and Nigel McGuinness are the commentators for the show, and there's also a new ring announcer.

- Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari defeat The Bollywood Boyz.

The never-ending rivalry between The Bollywood Boyz vs. Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese is the opening match tonight. It's the battle of 205 Live originals, still fighting for years. All four of these men wrestled on the very first episode of 205 Live. The Bollywood Boyz get a near-fall after a Doomsday Flying Elbow, then they manage to hit their Bollywood Blast double team elbow drop, but Daivari breaks the count. The finish comes when Nese hits the Running Kneese to gain the victory for his team.

We go back to NXT three days ago where Kushida successfully defended the Cruiserweight Championship in an open challenge, but he was ambushed 3-on-1 by Legado Del Fantasma after the match. Luckily, MSK (the NXT Tag Team Champions) came to the aid of Kushida to even the odds, leading to a 6-man tag team match next Tuesday on NXT.

- Ashante "Thee" Adonis defeats August Grey.

It's now time for the newcomers to have their singles match in the main event of the episode. During the match, Ariya Daivari comes back out at ringside to watch the match reach it's conclusion. Both Grey and Adonis battle on the floor in front of Daivari, the referee counts up to 9 as both men get in the ring, Daivari and Grey have words, Adonis takes advantage and hits the Long Kiss Goodnight superkick to get the win.

Daivari mouths of to Grey after the match blaming him for his own mistakes as the show comes to a close.
