In this interview Chris Jericho says they had a stunt coordinator from the John Wick movies for Stadium Stampede: "I think because it was such a success - I think it's like any big movie that makes money that's a success and then you figure out a way to do it again 'How're you going to do another one?' is the same question that they asked us after the first Elimination Chamber. There's been 30 of them. So, we were able to, like I said, change the tone. We brought in one of the stunt coordinators who works on the John Wick movies to help us with some of the fight scenes to make them a little bit more like an action movie. Because we think like wrestlers, and he thinks like a cinematic fight scene guy, so putting it together was tremendous. Then the craziest part was actually propelling down that scoreboard. Which was pretty scary, but once we took that little leap off the edge, it was super exhilarating and you'd be hard-pressed to find any other five guys in wrestling to do that."

Speaking of Jungle Boy he talks here about his theme song: "The song originally was Joey Janela's idea and I had never heard it before. He said, 'you have to come out to this.' I didn't know what it was and I thought it was a little bit goofy, but I saw immediately how much people enjoyed it and that just made me fall in love with it. Then I felt my time with it had come to an end when I came here, and it was actually something Tony [Khan] had mentioned a long time ago. He was really excited about it. He's like, 'I'm going to get it for you.' I was like, 'alright, if you can do that, that's awesome, but I'm not expecting it.' Then I'm not exactly sure how that all works, but he did it, somehow, right at the beginning of the new year. I felt like that kind of changed the game for me and shot me to a whole new level. He really is the best, in so many ways. So generous and passionate and excited about so many things. So I'm really appreciative he would do that for me."

According to Tony Khan, Lio Rush is on a handshake deal with AEW: "I haven't got pen to paper but Lio and I have a handshake where he can work here and New Japan. He wanted to keep working here and I think we've worked something good out on a handshake. I think he has a handshake with New Japan too and that's what we've been doing and it's been pretty good. I think it's a good way to work. So far, so good." In addition Dave Meltzer is reporting that Rush is "a New Japan guy" having recently signed a contract with them, and that they allowed him to work the AEW PPV. (WO)

Khan also stated that Spanish language announcer Willie Urbina was fired for mocking Hikaru Shida's accent on AEW Dynamite last week. (WO)
