Braun StrowmanBraun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Murphy and Santana Garrett all just got releaased by WWE in one fell swoop. I'm going to be honest that I'm a little mystified by at least the first three. Strowman is a former Universal champion and had JUST been in a major program at WrestleMania Backlash with Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. SmackDown had just started airing vignettes for the relaunch of Aleister Black and everything seemed to be going according to plan. Lana had been regularly featured on Raw, including appearing in a tag team match on the show just this week. To say they didn't know what to do with Ruby Riott outside of the Riott Squad is an understatement, but TAFKA Heidi Lovelace is a super talent and will be fine wherver she goes -- and the same is true of Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett. WWE's willingness to let capable, talented wrestlers go right as they're about to go back on tour seems completely backward to me. There has to be more to the story with some of these cuts including Strowman in particular.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated Bianca Belair talks about her goals in WWE: "I'm here to motivate people and touch them in a positive way. You don't know how long your time is here, but people never forget the way you feel. I want my time in WWE to be remembered about how I make people feel. That's what matters most to me."

In this media scrum Tony Khan says "a big star" will join Mark Henry on commentary for Rampage: "I'm not necessarily gonna say he's going to be the play-by-play or color analyst, but he's going to be a big part of the show. I have a big announcement. I don't want to sound like it's going to be an outside person. It's somebody who's one of our top stars that will be on commentary on the show. He's a great commentator, and a great wrestler, that might narrow it down, but I'm going to put him on commentary. It will be live on August 13 for the premiere on Friday the 13th. It's going to be a huge episode. It will be live to start, and I've got a lot of live episodes planned. There may be times where we do it as a classic kind of wrestling taping where there will be shows on Wednesday maybe, but it's going to be live to start."

New WWE related videos are available below.

There could be more WWE "budgetary cuts" soon, and people backstage are starting to wonder if all these releases and cuts are a prelude to WWE being sold to a larger media entity like Disney. (FF)

The updated Takeover: In Your House card for June 13th is below. (WWE)

* NXT Championship: Karrion Kross (c) vs. Adam Cole vs. Kyle O'Reilly vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne
* NXT Women's Championship: Raquel Gonzalez (c) vs. Ember Moon
* Mercedes Martinez vs. Xia Li
* Cameron Grimes vs. LA Knight

In addition here's the current lineup for the final NXT before Takeover. (WWE)

* Oney Lorcan vs. Austin Theory
* Ember Moon vs. Dakota Kai
* Poppy returns

Here Adam Pearce talks about working with Roman Reigns: "Well I think it goes to show with anything that happens in WWE, there is one voice that makes things happen (Vince McMahon). I was happy to be a part of it. Roman and I have certain chemistry on camera, he's really taken to this mob boss mentality and does it so well. You can't teach on-screen chemistry, I think he and I have enough of a personal relationship that the conversations always felt real. It was naturally fun and really easy to play off him and Paul Heyman. It took on a life of its own... I was getting ready man, getting my boots polished you know, getting ready to go."

A CZW announcement is below.

CZW - Like Nothing Else!

AEW regular Madi Wrenkowski says she's out of action due to a fractured nose for at least 4-6 weeks.

Reverting back to his original in-ring name (which honestly I preferred to Aleister Black anyway) Tommy End commented on his WWE release: "I'm gathering my thoughts as this was a complete left field for me as obviously we just started the dark father character but this was it, thank you so much WWE universe for allowing me to create and give you small bits of myself."

4:00 PM ET. Braun Strowman's reaction to his release was short and to the point: "What a chapter in life. Thank you!!!!!" Before his release he allegedly had a contract worth $1,000,000 a year set to run through 2023. (FF)

Tommy End (f/k/a Aleister Black) used his wife's Twitch (Thea Trinidad) to discuss his release: "I'm not sad. I'm not depressed. I'm sure there will be dark days and bad days. It's all up and down. I got told it was budget cuts. Whether it is or not, it doesn't matter. I had a great time and had a phenomenal four or five years. I'm really thankful WWE has done for me. I was given a platform, even in a limited amount, I was able to give you parts of my character."

Alexander Wolfe is looking forward to life after WWE: "I'm not sorry anymore, and I'm really excited to go back to the indie circuit because a lot of things have changed, especially in Europe, especially in Germany. I'm excited to go back in that scene, maybe just go to other countries, have a chance to travel again if everything opens up, which will sooner or later because I got some some some friends, they sent me a tour schedule for all the music festivals in Germany. So when you see music festivals in Germany, they're packed with people. It's open air. So something is going back to normal, and I'm really keen that everything will be good in the next month and wrestling can pick up again and promotions can do shows again."

Here Jon Moxley talks about whether or not WWE could create The Shield again: "Anything could work. I mean, it's different because you're a known commodity on NXT now, whereas when we came in we were complete nobodies. So, there's a benefit to that. On the one hand, nobody knows who you are, but on the other hand, you have a completely fresh slate, you're a complete mystery. You can come right in and starting whooping whoever's ass you want! The Shield might be the last big act that came from that old way of doing things before NXT really. You can do anything with anybody if you commit to them."

5:00 PM ET. Drake Wuertz is trying to retcon his WWE release and claim everyone liked him: "I was expecting it. My heart had not been in it for the past six months. It got to the point where I didn't feel right about the atmosphere and I was just coming to work for the paycheck. When it gets to that point, it's time to step away. I went into work to go to Terry Taylor's class and was called into the office. Canyon Ceman let me know I was being let go. It wasn't surprising. They let me go say goodbye to the coaches I was closest with, Terry Taylor and Matt Bloom. It was bittersweet because I spent more time there than I did my own family. It wasn't my performance. My performance never wavered and the trust in the ring never wavered. I was frequently requested by top talent."
