Drew McIntyreIn this interview Drew McIntyre talks about WWE getting their fans back this year at WrestleMania (and almost getting rained out): "Unbelievable. Obviously you mention the buildup to it was interesting. We almost got rained out at times and I was trying to keep myself motivated and in the right frame of mind. But at the same time, just seeing the weather going on, and people being asked to leave the stadium [then to] come back inside, oh my goodness. Last year I'm fighting for the title and there is a worldwide pandemic, and this year I'm fighting for the title and we're about to get rained out, there must be some kind of jinx. And as it gets closer to showtime and finally we start on time, we're on the stage and I was actually supposed to be at the front of the stage, but somebody was standing in my spot. And I went, 'Yes, perfect. I want to blend into the background.' So, I kind of hid during the anthem as best as I could, because I didn't want to look up and didn't want to feel the crowd until it was time for my entrance, because I knew I was the first one walking out. So, I was very conscious of staying as small as I could at 6'5" legit, in the background and all I would do is look up and watch the anthem. I didn't look at the crowd, obviously I could hear them, and the people around me were excited, the fellow superstars were jumping around and making noise. But I tried my best to drown everything out. Because I was like, 'Nope, nope. I've waited one year, one month, and one day, and I'm the first one out here. I'm not experiencing it until I walk out for my entrance.' So, I head to the back, I'm the first one through the back, and I hear, 'Drew, there is a 40-minute delay.' That's when everyone is walking past me, fist bumps all-around, you know, 'Start them off right big man,' and, 'Let's do this,' you know, 'You've earned this moment,' and, 'Kill the show.' Just person after person, and through my head and my fist is up, just anger in my eyes, '40-minute delay...' So that was interesting, that 40 minutes."

Here Anthony Ogogo has nothing but praise for Cody Rhodes: "Prior to me joining AEW, he's my favorite wrestler in the world. I actually think the best wrestler in the world. He is genuinely, and before I got into the ring, I saw an AEW Dark. I commentated for six months, and I said 20 times in six months that Cody's the best wrestler in the world, but Cody's a yardstick. I got to watch him daily at the trainer school training and putting the work in still even though he's so good. The way he can tell stories, the things he can do in a ring. He's a big dude. He can do top-rope huricanranas, which I wouldn't. My asshole squeezes up watching him do that. I'm never going to do that. He's really really good. I respect the hell out of him as a wrestler. I respect the way he does his management. Since this thing kicked off, we haven't spoken. Prior to that, I respect the way he managed me. I respect the way he signed me. I respect the way he went about talking to me. He talks to me on my level rather than talking down to me, and I respect that. He knows that I'm a man on my own way, and I've got respect on my name."

Here Carlito talks about his brief WWE return this year: "It was just the Rumble. I think the day before the Rumble they asked if I can do Raw too and I said 'yea sure, whatever you guys need.' That's all we talked about. It was Raw and the Rumble. I've had no communication since the Raw appearance."

Rey Mysterio will reportedly challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at the Hell in a Cell PPV June 20th. (WO)

Here Jimmy Smith talks about his newfound appreciation for pro wrestling: "Oh my god. When you look at the nuts and bolts of a show that Raw puts on, that SmackDown puts on, the nuts and bolts of that show are amazing. The number of moving parts they have, the way they sew the storylines together, and all that stuff is incredible. I don't care if you're a pro wrestling fan or not, that's amazing. What is so weird to me is, once again, I stopped watching pro wrestling in 1990, and I was 13 years old and I outgrew it while going into high school. Going back and seeing it with adult eyes, it is so different, and you appreciate it as an adult watching these guys perform. Because, remember, when I was a kid it wasn't a performance, it was a real combat sport in our minds. To watch them perform like that is incredible."
