Written by Nickolye

Nickolye's WWE NXT recap for September 14, 2021 at 8 PM ET! Due to injuries sustained to the champ, Samoa Joe has relinquished the NXT Championship. Tonight, we will find out who the new NXT Champion will be when Tommaso Ciampa, Kyle O'Reilly, LA Knight and Pete Dunne compete in a fatal 4-way match! Also, tonight is the anticipated wedding of Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell! NXT gets a makeover in 2.0 fashion. Hit F5 or refresh as often as you like for the latest updates!

Tonight we will crown a new NXT Champion! Tommaso Ciampa refers to himself as Mr. NXT and wants a second chapter with Goldie, 2.0. Pete Dunne calls himself the baddest man in NXT and will put down his opponents to become the Bruiserweight NXT Champion. Kyle O'Reilly is ready to step in the ring to be one win away from becoming the NXT Champion. Finally, LA Knight claims that Samoa Joe was not man enough to be champion, so he will step in that role. Suddenly, some random guy shows up next to Knight and his name is Braun Breaker (sp?) and he wants a chance to prove himself. Knight tells him in two minutes go to the ring so he can beat him quickly. Cue the new opening credits!

NXT 2.0 comes on and has a whole new look and feel to it. No more Capitol Wrestling Center. Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph and Beth Phoenix are all here at ringside ready to get this started.

We get a video package of the strange romance between Dexxter Lumis and Indi Hartwell. The ring is getting set up for the ceremony as the guests start t file in dressed up nicely. Zack Gibson and James Drake debate on what will actually happen - a rib, a fight, or the groom not showing up. The wedding is next!

* The Wedding of IN-DEX

After the break, everyone is in the ring awaiting the bride, and out comes Indi Hartwell being walked to the ring by Johnny Gargano. William Regal is outside the ring for the ceremony. The priest proceeds to wed Dexter Gaylord Lumis and Indi Ophelia Hartwell in holy matrimony. John Gargano is giving away the bride, and he asks Austin Theory for the rings, to which Theory responds "We're IN a ring, silly!" Actually, Ikemen Jiro opens his jacket while in his wrestling attire to show he's got the rings, so the wedding can continue. Anyone object? Speak now or forever hold your peace. Damn near everybody raises their hand, but Dexter opens his jacket to show he's got a HATCHET hidden inside! That put everyone's hands down.

Indi reads her vows. "Dexter Gaylord Lumis, you are misunderstood by so many people. While many people see you as a creep, I see you as my cuddly teddy bear. Some people see you as a stalker, but what I see is a caring man with a well-groomed mustache in tight clothes that never takes his eyes off of me. I find it so sweet how you're always following me watching my every move. When they call you a freak, I say 'Damn right, he's a freak!'" Dexter nods in approval - wink wink. "Dexter's my freak. I'll always remember he snuck into my bed late at night when Johnny and Candice..." Dexter stops her from revealing too much. "Dexter, you never lose a staring contest. You keep me safe. You understand me, and I understand you. I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I love you." It's Dexter's turn for his vows - a thumb's up. The priest is perplexed that he has nothing to say and suggests that he's just nervous, but he gets too close and Dexter puts him in the Silence! And just like that, the ceremony is at a halt. They all point to Regal to continue the proceedings, but he's too horrified he doesn't want to do it. Instead, Beth Phoenix takes the place and contines for him. She felt something like this might happen so last night she got ordained as a minister online!

Beth decides to cut to the chase, so then Andre Chase stands up asking "Did someone say Andre Chase?" No Andre, no one said your name. Odyssey Jones sits him down with force to quiet him down. Johnny hands off the rings to Indi and Dexter. Indi Hartwell takes Dexter Lumis as her husband? "I do." Dexter Lumis takes Indi Hartwell as his wife? "... I... do." By the power vested in Beth Phoenix thanks to her overnight online ordainment, she now pronounces Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwel HUSBAND AND WIFE! The kiss seals the deal!

Tommaso Ciampa, the new NXT Champion, watches on a monitor backstage. Bron Breakker walks up to congratulate him, Ciampa shows the same respect for his first win on NXT 2.0, they shake hands, and Breakker was staring at the NXT Championship before they have an intense staredown to close out the show.
