NXT 2.0

Written by Nickolye

Nickolye's WWE NXT recap for November 30, 2021 at 8 PM ET! War Games is right around the corner, this Sunday to be exact. Tonight, both the men and women will compete in their respective ladder matches to determine which team will have the  advantage going into the big match. Who will compete in the ladder matches? Which team will gain the one-man and one-woman advantage? NXT has a makeover in 2.0 fashion. Hit F5 or refresh as often as you like for the latest updates!

Right before the advantage ladder match kicks off, all eight women involved in War Games get in a big brawl on the entranceway! Dakota Kai and Kay Lee Ray make their way towards the ring since they will be the ones competing.

* War Games Advantage Ladder Match: Dakota Kai vs. Kay Lee Ray

The bell dings when both women enter the ring and KLR superkicks Dakota at the same time. They battle over a ladder, Dakota sends her into the steel steps face-first, goes for a ladder, but then KLR sends her into the steps. As KLR looks up at the briefcase they need to go for, Dakota pulls the ladder out the ring, so KLR hits a suicide dive and suplexes Kai onto the ladder! Back in the ring, they take turns climbing the ladder and stopping each other, Dakota whips her into the standing ladder, Irish whip to the corner, hits the running facewash, and chokes her with her boot in another corner. KLR comes back with a gourdbuster, goes up top, Dakota cuts her off with a bicycle kick, then hits the double stomp on the apron before our first commercial break!

We go picture-in-picture for this match as both try to recover on the floor. Dakota gets back in the ring to climb the ladder, KLR pulls at her leg, Dakota gets annoyed that she's stopping her, then applies a heel hook. Dakota even wraps her leg around the bottom rope in the heel hook to further the pain.

When we come back full-screen Dakota still has the heel hook in the ropes and KLR falls out the ring. KLR hits the KLR Bomb onto the announce table, and we see Toxic Attraction looking on backstage. KLR hobbles up the ladder, Dakota climbs the other side, they trade punches, Dakota slams her head on the top of the ladder, KLR falls, Dakota gets her hand on the briefcase, KLR tries to stop her but falls, and INSTEAD of getting the briefcase Kai talks to herself and dives onto KLR with a double foot stomp! Dakota finally climbs back up, but Kay Lee Ray traps her in the rungs and slams her backwards into it in the tree of woe, superkicks her, then climbs up to unhook the briefcase! WINNER: KAY LEE RAY!

Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, Zoey Stark and Cora Jade ar all ecited backstage for KLR's win, while Toxic Attraction are disappointed in Kai's loss. After being insulted and embarrassed last week by Cameron Grimes, Andre Chase has challenged Grimes to a match for this week's NXT. Breaktime.

The Grizzled Young Veterans are sneaking into a locker. Ikemen Jiro shows up asking loudly what they are doing, and they keep shushing him. Kushida shows up and the shushing is louder then the talking. Brooks & Jensen show up, GYV scatter, and all four are left confused.

* Andre Chase vs. Cameron Grimes

Grimes is all over the place throwing Chase off, and tells him to kiss his grits. Chase gets in a cheap shot with Grimes's hair, hits a neckbreaker, and covers for a 2-count. Chase gets cheers from his student section in the crowd as he stomps on him, but Grimes comes back with a hurricanrana and a running dropkick in the corner. Grimes hits Cave-In and gets the 3-count. WINNER: CAMERON GRIMES!

Duke Hudson shows up on the balcont and taunts Grimes with what he would look like without a full head of hair. We get several images on the big screen as Hudson narrates through the photos mocking him. Grimes has heard enough, throws Chase back into the ring, grabs an electric razor from under the ring, but one of Chase's students saves him. Grimes declares he will shave Hudson bald at War Games.

We see Wade Barrett wearing a Toxic Attraction t-shirt, and they reveal that Johnny Gargano will compete in the advantage ladder match. We will find out who his opponent will be next.

We get a video package for a new NXT superstar named Edris Enofé. He mentions he came from Inglewood, California and was a member of the military. Edris wants to prove his doubters wrong, wants to show the epitome of excellence, and he debuts tonight.

Alicia Taylor is in the ring with Team 2.0 to tell them that Johnny Gargano will compete in the ladder match tonight, and asks them how they feel about War Games. First to speak is the NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and he boasts his credentials. Grayson Waller speaks up and will live by his own Grayson Waller Effect. Bron Breakker gets on the mic next and he's full of energy as he speaks, then mentions that after War Games he's going after Tommaso Ciampa's NXT Championship. Tony D'Angelo mentions the men of NXT paved the road in the brand, but that road is full of potholes and they will fill those potholes with their heads. Bron Breakker is named as the winner of the poll to face Gargano later. Gargano comes out and lays it out for them that they laid the groundwork for 2.0 guys to come in. Gargano calls Breakker the "Big Bad Booty Nephew" and dares him to leave the guys in the back. Breakker tells him that his guys will stay in the back so it can be 1-on-1 in the ladder match tonight.

Kyle O'Reilly and Von Wagner are warming up for their match next. Legado Del Fantasma are ready to prove that they will be the #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez offer some words for their team, and that match will be next.

We get more into the adventures of MSK on their journey. The GPS calls Nash Carter a dipshit for making the wrong turn, and tells them they arrived and "it's about damn time after five weeks." Wes Lee is ready to fight the GPS voice but they have to go and find the shaman to help them. The door opens with a big bright glow, and the shaman is standing there. Guess we have to wait another week for the reveal.

* #1 Contender's Match for NXT Tag Titles at NXT WarGames: Von Wagner & Kyle O'Reilly vs. Legado Del Fantasma

Von Wagner powers Raul Mendoza him to a corner, Mendoza makes some slick escapes, but Wagner hits a shoulder tackle to stop him. Kyle O'Reilly tags in, brings him down by a side headlock, Joaquin Wilde tags in, they hit a double spinebuster, make a wish with his legs, and a double basement dropkick. Wilde gets a 2-count, hits a back elbow, more 2-counts, Mendoza tags in and maintains the offense. O'Reilly counters a sunset flip for an armbar, Mendoza counters with a 2-count, Wagner tags in, leapfrogs over O'Reilly with a body press, slams him down then applies a rear waistlock. Xyon Quinn walks down to ringside with an unhappy expression on his face, and Lopez and Escobar have worried looks on their faces as we take a commercial break.

When we come back, Wilde has O'Reilly grounded in a chinlock. Xyon Quinn walks over to the other side, Escobar backs up while Lopez steps up to him, they lock eyes, and Quinn attacks Escobar! Back to the match, O'Reilly fights out, Wilde dropkicks him and kips up, Mendoza tags in and clotheslines him, Wilde tags in and clotheslines him, Mendoza tags in and clotheslines him, Wilde tags in, clotheslines, Mendoza tags, gamengiri, suplex, Wilde tagged in, hits a springboard cannonball and gets a 2-count. Wilde hits a neckbreaker, O'Reilly fights off both men, Wagner gets the hot tag, beats down Mendoza, powerslams him, hits a flapjack to Wilde, Angle Slam to Mendoza and gets a near-fall. Mendoza gets tossed onto the ropes, comes back with a springboard missile dropkick, and both side tag.

O'Reilly and Wilde trade forearm punches, back and forth, a hockey fight! O'Reilly with combo strikes, Wilde avoids the legsweep, hits a jumping punch, drops him with a DDT, and slaps Wagner for good measure. Mendoza sneaks in for the double team finisher, but Wagner lowers the ropes on him, gets the tag, pop-up kick, and they hit the high-low clothesline/legsweep for the win! WINNERS and #1 CONTENDERS for NXT Tag Team Titles: KYLE O'REILLY & VON WAGNER!

O'Reilly and Wagner will face Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Titles at NXT WarGames this Sunday. McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with the champs for their comments. Marcel Barthel starts to say it doesn't matter, but O'Reilly and Wagner show up to remind them that they are close to winning the titles. Fabian Aichner is ready to step up but he's held back.

After the break, we get another vignette of Tiffany's Epiphanies talking about how her daddy always bought the best and fastest cars and she shopped the highest fashion of clothing. Tiffany Stratton is coming soon because she wants to be an NXT superstar.

Joe Gacy is in the ring with Harland for his all-inclusive invitational. Apparentaly he wants the cruiserweight division to be, well, all-inclusive. "In the world of Joe Gacy, this division will no longer be defined by any specific height requirement. It will no longer allow weight shaming to stop his competitors from opportunities for greatness. It will no longer allow gender bias to stand in the way for progression." There are three people standing in the ring - two men and a woman of various weight and height. Gacy will battle for the Cruiserweight Championship this Sunday and calls the NXT show Conflict Resolution.

* Joe Gacy vs. 3 jobbers

Gacy starts the match against a short man first, he hits a shoulder block, tilt-a-whirl, gets hit with a basement dropkick, and beats him down as a result. Gacy slams him down, hits a gutwrench powerbomb, and covers for 3. WINNER: JOE GACY.

Gacy helps him up and hugs him. "Now, I would love to give this young lady an opportunity." The woman steps in, the bell dings, and before they could lock up, Diamond Mine's music plays. Malcolm Bivens and proposes Roderick Strong show off his skills. Bivens: "This is the first and the very last Joe Gacy All-Inclusive Invitational, because at WarGames on Sunday, Diamond Mine is gonna shut you up for good!" Gacy says he respects the passion of Bivens, but asks them to stay outside while he speaks to Strong. Bivens and Strong enter the ring, Gacy asks him why Bivens always speaks for him, and Strong says he's done talking with a big punch! Strong hits the big man with a jumping knee, but Gacy drops the champ with a handspring lariat! The Creed Brothers get in the ring, so Harland pulls Gacy out the ring to protect him.

Backstage, McKenzie interviews Solo Sikoa about facing the newcomer Edris Enofé tonight. Solo gets it seeing as how Edris came from Inglewood and was also in the military, but this is NXT and it's a different world. Boa shows up complaining about something while wincing, but Solo says he doesn't speak his language so he's on his own. Boa is still wincing as we take a break.

* Solo Sikoa vs. Edris Enofé

They lock up, Enofé with a side headlock, Sikoa hits a shoulder block, lock up again, Sikoa takes an arm, Robert Stone is at ringside taking notes, Sikoa takes his opponent down and hits a jumping headbutt for a 1-count. Sikoa kicks him in the chest, Enofé fights back, Sikoa catches him off a crossbody, swings him around for a sidewalk slam and gets a 2-count. Enofé avoids an elbow drop, pump kick, standing moonsault, covers for 1, basement blockbuster, 2-count, Sikoa throws him back and kicks him in the chest. Sikoa hits several strikes, kick to the back, running senton, covers for 2, misses the hip attack, Enofé dropkicks him, hits a diving crossbody, and drops him with a DDT. Sikoa avoids the 450 Splash, hits the pop-up Samoan drop, lands the Samoan/Uso Splash, and covers for 3! WINNER: SOLO SIKOA!

BOA attacks Sikoa right after the bell and his face is all painted now. Boa grabs him by the throat, Enofé makes the save, Boa grabs him by the throat now, but he ducks out the ring before Sikoa could superkick him. Sikoa helps Enofé up to his feet out of respect.

Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell are working out backstage, the latter's phone rings, she answers the call from the hospital, and the doctor for Dexter Lumis tells her that he's gone. They say they can't find him, Pirotta reminds Hartwell that their match is next, and we go to a commercial break.

Xyon Quinn is walking in the parking lot and says the fight with Santos Escobar has only just begun. Elektra Lopez is standing by his car and she's alone to tell him that she admires someone who marches to the beat of their own drum. She wishes him luck for his match against Escobar next week because he'll need it.

* Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta vs. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz

Yet again, Indi is in the ring looking sad as ever thinking and worried about Dexter Lumis, while Persia is trying to snap her out of it. The bell dings, Indi is barely putting up a fight against a scrappy Valentina. This distraction allows Valentina to DDT the leg, put her in a leg twist submission, and Indi kicks her off. Yulisa tags in, hits a missile dropkick from the middle ropes, standing moonsault, then applies a half-crab, so Indi breaks free and makes the tag. Persia takes them down with big boots and clotheslines, drops Yulisa on the turnbuckles, hits a spinning facebuster, and covers for 3. WINNERS: INDI HARTWELL & PERSIA PIROTTA!

We get picture-in-picture for this match as Gargano leans the cover of the announce table and throws Breakker on it. Gargano is on the offensive, gets back in the ring, Breakker gets in and hits belly-to-belly suplex.

Breakker goes for the diving elbow drop, but Gargano rolls off the ladder. Gargano lays the ladder across the top ropes, slides under it, suckers him in, and does a drop toehold into the ladder. Breakker cuts him off the top rope, lays Gargano across the ladder, Gargano slips off and superkicks him with the ladder around his head, then superkicks him proper. Breakker hits a FRANKENSTEINER! Breakker sets the ladder up, Gargano battles back, roaring elbow, Breakker presses him up, Gargano counters with a DDT, cimbs up the ladder, Breakker is right back up, and Gargano hits him in the head with the briefcase.
