Nickolye's WWE NXT recap for December 14, 2021 at 8 PM ET! Tonight, we will see Cameron Grimes take on Hudson Duke in a No Holds Barred Match. Roderick Strong goes one-on-one with Bron Breakker. Boa challenges newcomer Edris Enofé to a match. Tony D'Angelo will face Andre Chase. Harland has his debut match. Cora Jade is back in action against Dakota Kai. Also, we will hear from Grayson Waller about his attack to Johnny Gargano last week. NXT has a makeover in 2.0 fashion. Hit F5 or refresh as often as you like for the latest updates!

We start out with a recap from last week's NXT 2.0 of Johnny Gargano giving his farewell to NXT. Just as Gargano was getting to the point, he got cracked in the back by a chair weilded by Grayson Waller, and he was proud of his work. Moments ago, Waller was greeted by a jeering NXT audience outside the building and he played it off as adulation.

* No Holds Barred Match: Cameron Grimes vs. Hudson Duke

Grimes pulls out the plunder before the match, and we get a video package to highlight their match at WarGames, and he came out last week wearing a wig. Hudson has the same wig and chin strap to hide his new shaved look and the crowd chants that he looks stupid. Grimes kicks him off the apron right away and the bell dings, then he places a trash can on his head then penalty kicks it TO THE MOON. Grimes hits him on the back with the trash can lid, rolls him into the ring, the crowd chants for one more time, but Hudson retaliates and stomps a mudhole in him. Grimes lands a springboard moonsault into a 2-count, slams him on the steel steps, and Hudson makes sure if wig doesn't fly off. Hudson throws the weapons away, Grimes grabs at the wig, Hudson knocks him off and tries to fix it, then does a slingshot German release suplex! Grimes side-steps a chair, Hudson pokes him in the eye, but Grimes counters the Razor's Edge with a hurricanrana sending him into the barricade. Back in the ring, Grimes sets up a chair, Hudson catches him jumping off of it, then slams him onto the chair for a near-fall.

We get picture-in-picture for this first match, Hudson beats him down in and out of the ring, he pulls out a poker table from under the ring, Grimes gives him a drop toehold onto a chair, but Hudson comes back with a backbreaker. Hudson sets up the poker table near the turnbuckles, both men fight for leverage on the top, and Hudson is looking for a superplex at the tail end of the break.

When we come back, Grimes blocks a superplex, hits a diving crossbody flying over the table, and gets a 2-count. Hudson rolls him up for 2, Grimes rolls him up for 2, Hudson sets him up for the Razor's Edge again, but again Grimes slips out and hits a superkick. Hudson counters the Cave-In with a powerbomb through the poker table, and gets the 1-2-KICKOUT! Hudson pulls out an electric, sits down for a shave, eats a superkick, Grimes hits the poison 'rana, hits the CAVE-IN in a chair, and gets the 3-count! WINNER: CAMERON GRIMES!

Grimes yanks off Hudson's wig to reveal his bald head! Big win for Cameron Grimes tonight. Backstage, Cora Jade gets interviewed before her match against Dakota Kai. Cora is excited that the doctor's medically cleared her, but Dakota shows up to claim that Raquel González is controlling her like she feels was done to her. Cora calls her "mom" and says she will be victorious in her win streak to be one step closer to the champion, and Dakota gets weird about her comments. Grayson Waller is walking around in the back and everybody backstage can't even look at him.

After the break we get footage of Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen ready for a country concert when Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro pull up ready to go. Jensen is super excited and line dances with Carter and Catanzaro, while Briggs just looks on unamused. The ladies have better tandem chemistry than the guys do.

Next comes out public enemy #1 in NXT, Grayson Waller, to a chorus of boos and asshole chants. Grayson Waller: "I love it. A wise man once said, you can never fail if you bet on yourself. What a beautiful speech, I nearly had a tear in my eye last week. But that man overstayed his welcome. He wants to talk about his wife, his future. For some reason, he wanted to thank all of you. Like they done anything for anyone! Last week, I personally by myself did exactly what I said I was gonna do. I had all the views, I was trending everywhere, but I guess that's what hapens when you bet on yourself." The crowd chants for him to shut the hell up, and Waller points to the big screen to show us what he did. He even got in Vic Joseph's face taunting him. Waller continues going on calling himself as THE superstar in NXT, and claims he ended Gargano's career. He claims to have been at parties while everyone else complained on Twitter, so we see a few tame comments towards him, including Wade Barrett who stated "What a PoS. I think I like him." Waller even spots it, but he has his own response: "I got some Bad News for you. This ain't 2010, I couldn't care less what you think of me." He turns his attention to Vic Joseph who can barely even look at him, and taunts him again that he beat up his friend in front of him and Vic didn't do a thing about it. "I want you to remember that, shows what kind of man you are. I don't need friends, I don't need family, I certainly don't need any of you! The only thing that I need to go to the top of this industry is Grayson Waller."

Wade Barrett says he wanted and tried to like "that guy" and Vic Joseph decides they should just take the high road and move on. We go back to MSK finding Riddle as their shaman, and we will see them tonight.

Malcolm Bivens speaks on behalf of Roderick Strong towards Bron Breakker while the rest of Diamond Mine are working out behind him. Bivens says Strong will put Breakker in his place, Strong says tonight is about divide and conquer, as Ivy Nile handles her business, tell The Creed Brothers to handle things in the gym, and he will handle Breakker by himself. Bivens and Ivy walk off to get ready for her match.

Lashing Out with Lash Legend is on after the break, and her guests are Jacket Time. The sleepy woman crosses by. Lash asks them about their good wardrobe. "It's Style Strong!" She asks them about their beef with Grizzled Young Veterans, Kushida says they will not be underestimated, then they cut a serious promo about wiping the floor with their faces tonight.

* Ivy Nile vs. Amari Miller

Ivy Nile is already in the ring while we see the latter part of Amari Miller's entrance. Nile takes her down with a headlock takeover first, Miller counters with a headscissors, and Nile escapes with a handstand. They sprawl in the ring as bubbles start floating around, Nile clobbers her from behind, hits an elbow drop from the middle ropes, then does push-ups on her back. Nile hits a snap suplex, kips up, Miller with a schoolgirl roll-up for 2, crucifix for 2, and a sunset flip for 2. Nile rolls through a backslide, Miller fights back, hits a spin kick in the corner, basement dropkick, Nile ducks under the spin kick, slams her down, running dropkick, O'Connor roll into the dragon sleeper, and Miller taps! WINNER: IVY NILE!

McKenzie Mitchell interviews Xyon Quinn next about Elektra Lopez's involvement in his match with Santos Escobar last week. Quinn now has his focus straight and he's hip to her games. Robert Stone shows up again and this time he has something to say. He is sick of the disrespect from everybody, and he wants to be taken serious. Von Wagner shows up to take over the interview claiming to break someone else and if anyone has a problem with it can say it to his face. Stone now lets the interview end. Joe Gacy gives Harland words of advice before the break.

Riddle and MSK are back and they go through their small bad, to which Riddle pulls out a bat, an orange cone, and even the old spinner John Cena-style Thugganomics-era U.S. Championship belt! Riddle tells them all of this stuff is cluttering their lives, they need to clear their minds if they want to win back the NXT Tag Team Titles, and they pull out three scooters.

* Harland vs. Guru Raaj

Joe Gacy accompanies Harland to the ring. Rapper Westside Gunn is here in the crowd as well. Harland slams him down with ease, bounces his head off the mat, rakes his face with his forearm and elbow, Raaj weakly punches him, Harland hits a back suplex slam and covers for 3. WINNER: HARLAND!

Gacy asks Harland if he feels better, which he doesn't, so he goes back to bounce Raaj's head on the mat again until Gacy stops him. LA Knight pulls up in the parking lot, the cameraman asks him about Grayson Waller, and Knight goes on a tangent about Waller. "Somebody go find Grayson Waller. Tell him I'm here. Tell him to come find me if I don't find his ass first. YEAH!"

After the commercial break, Harland and Joe Gacy are being escorted out, but one man isn't so lucky as he gets thrown off the stairs after touching Harland's shoulder, and that man was Brian Kendrick! Kendrick gets tended to by medical personnel as Harland gets admonished.

* Cora Jade vs. Dakota Kai

The NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose joins commentary for this match. Dakota boots her in the face at the bell and beats her down, but Cora hits an uppercut, a headscissors takedown, dropkick, and a backslide for 2. Cora goes to the top but Dakota cuts her off, and as they battle over the turnbuckles Dakota works on Jade's injured shoulder and also hits a penalty kick. Dakota gets a 2-count in the ring, puts her in a top wristlock working on the left shoulder, slams her down for a 2-count, and continues to work on the shoulder with a short-arm scissors. Cora counters for 2, fights back with only one good arm, clothesline, back elbow, hurricanrana, high knee, missile dropkick, and covers for 2. Dakota hits the scorpion kick, backbreaker, 2-count, hits the round-the-world big boot, running facewash, and covers for a near-fall. Dakota hits the spinning facebuster for 2.5, Mandy says she's not impressed, Dakota pulls a shovel from under the ring, the referee takes it away from her, and Cora rolls him up in the schoolgirl pin for 3! WINNER: CORA JADE!

Dakota boots her down after the match, picks up the shovel, and out comes Raquel González to make the save! Cora recovers in the ring, and out come the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions, the rest of Toxic Attraction, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. Mandy Rose attacks Jade from behind and hits an armbreaker to further injure her shoulder.

Backstage, Grayson Waller continues his tirade and people unhappy with him, then Tiffany Stratton says "My daddy says you're a terrible person." We never see her face the whole time, as she literlly walked up, and walked off with her back to the camera. A familiar face Io Shirai shows up to curse Waller out in Japanese, and he soaks it all up. "I think she likes me."

After commercials, Raquel González and Dakota Kai are still fighting in the parking lot throwing weapons around! We go back to WarGames where Tony D'Angelo ripped out Pete Dunne's mouthguard and he now carries it around.

* Tony D'Angelo vs. Andre Chase

D'Angelo out-wrestles him, out-smarts him, and out-works him for most of the match, then delivers a belly-to-belly suplex, and hiptoss from the apron into the ring. Chase takes over with a neckbreaker, spells out his name with each stomp, hits a Russian legsweep, and gets a 2-count. D'Angelo escapes a chinlock, gives him a back body drop, pulls his shirt over for hockey punches, suplex, double-leg takedown, northern lights suplex, floats over, and the spinning fisherman's suplex for the 3-count. WINNER: TONY D'ANGELO!

D'Angelo grabs a microphone and says he's backed up his words, and mentions Pete Dunne by name, which brings out the Bruiserweight himself. Dunne tells him he does a lot of talking, gets in the ring, but D'Angelo talks with disrespect, and point him to his mouthguard. Dunne says he's not here to talk, but D'Angelo does a lot of talking. D'Angelo goes for a cheap shot, but Dunne catches his arm and snap his fingers, stomps on the case smashing it to pieces, and puts the guard back in his mouth! Dunne doesn't care about broken pieces, as he's ready to break D'Angelo in pieces.

Bron Breakker is seen warming up in the locker room, and in comes Grayson Waller all super cocky and confident thinking that he's buddies with Breakker since they won WarGames together. However, Breakker tells Waller to get his stuff and leave because he's not welcome in their locker room, and the other trainees agree. Waller takes exception to this and calls himself a real superstar who deserves his own locker room.

We take a look in the medical room as coach Brian Kendrick is being monitored.

* Boa vs. Edris Enofé

Enofé gets the strikes in early, Boa kicks him in the chest, back suplex, covers for 1, kicks him in the back, and puts him in the double wristlock. Solo Sikoa is watching this match on a monitor backstage, Boa hits a double-arm suplex, and maintains control with a chinlock. Enofé comes back with more strikes, standing dropkick, fisherman's suplex, 2-count, Boa kicks him in mid-air, grabs him by the throat to bring him to his knees, and hits a roundhouse kick for 3. WINNER: BOA!

Raquel is back in the locker room, says she needs to end Dakota, and challenges her to a Street Fight! After the break, Grayson Waller is still being the most despised man in NXT 2.0 now as he takes off in LA Knight's car with who appears to be Tiffany Stratton! "What did LA Knight say last week about getting views? You guys are gonna love this view." Waller pulls off and we see LA Knight laid out on the ground!

* Jacket Time vs. Grizzled Young Veterans

Kushida and James Drake start the match for their respective teams, and the former Cruiserweight Champion is outwrestling Drake in the early showing frustrating him. Drake goes back for more and Kushida gives him an armbdrag, Ikemen Jiro tags in for a doublee axe handle, Kushida tags back in and takes him down for a hammerlock twist. Zack Gibson tags in, trips Kushida up, and hits a Russian legsweep as Drake hits a suicide dive on the floor! Kushida fights out their corner, goes for a sunset flip, but Gibson tags out and Drake kicks him in the back, hits a neckbreaker, 1-count, and puts him in a chinlock. The Creed Brothers show up on the entranceway to get a closer look at the action. Kushida fights back again, Drake loses balance and Kushida is able to make the hot tag!

Jiro hits a springboard head chop, spinning heel kick, jacket punches, discus jacket punch, floats over, German suplex, and kips up. Gibson tags in, jacket punch to Drake, springboard crossbody onto GYV, Kushida gets tagged back in, double hiptoss, cartwheels into basement dropkicks, Kushida goes for the Hoverboard Lock, Gibson backs him into a corner, Drake hits the corner dropkick, Gibson delivers a spinning suplex, and gets a near-fall! Drake tags in, they set up for the finish, Kushida counters, hits the wind-up punch, and The Creed Brothers have a standoff with GYV. Jacket Time hit dual dives onto GYV, Kushida brings Drake back into the ring, Jiro tags in, hits the senton bomb, and they get the 3-count! WINNERS: JACKET TIME!

What an upset (with outside distractions)! Malcolm Bivens and Roderick Strong are going over the gameplan in the halls, and they bump into Trick Williams and NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes mocking him. Hayes wishes him luck, but Bivens tells them that they are the ones who need the luck. Williams finds a drawing that reads "Trick VS Lumis" on the bottom with a sign that also reads "Whoop Dat Trick" in the crowd. Apparently, Lumis is challenging Williams to a match! Breaktime.

Next week, Raquel González will indeed face Dakota Kai in a Street Fight! We get medical updates for Cora Jade (shoulder subluxation), LA Knight (multiple undisclosed injuries), and Brian Kendrick (possible cervical fracture).

* Roderick Strong {NXT Cruiserweight Champion} vs. Bron Breakker
  [non-title match]

Strong goes for a single leg, Breakker throws him off, they lock up, Strong takes him down with a single leg into a front facelock, and we learn that it will be Pete Dunne vs. Tony D'Angelo next week. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams show up on the balcony to watch this match from above. Strong puts him in the side headlock, Breakker hits a shoulder block, gator roll into a delayed vertical suplex, and he kips up for good measure. Strong shoves him into the announce table, then uses the table as a modified backbreaker, and he looks up at Hayes and Williams before our final commercial break.

We get icture-in-picture as the match continues, and Strong has the upper hand for the moment while still looking up at the two viewers, but soon Hayes and Williams leave the balcony. Breakker fights him off, but Strong maintains his game on working over the midsection, hits a backbreaker, covers for 2, then puts him in a bow-and-arrow stretch. Breakker fights back, Strong dropkicks him, stacked cover for 2, then puts him in a modified camel clutch.

When we come back full-screen, Breakker fights back, Strong blocks a suplex, hits the Gut Check, then locks in the Stronghold! Breakker kicks him off, catches him in air for a powerslam, hits shoulder tackles, tosses him around, then does a Frankensteiner! Breakker hits a belly-to-belly suplex, covers for a near-fall, and then shoulder thrusts to the midsection. Strong hits a back elbow, chops, running forearms, Olympic Slam, and covers for 2. Strong sets him up on the top turnbuckle, delivers the superplex, gets right back up, delivers a tiger bomb, and covers for 2.9! Breakker with a front suplex, Strong kicks him in the head, Breakker catches him, front slam, the straps come down, military press into a powerslam, and covers for 1-2-3! WINNER: BRON BREAKKER!

Malcolm Bivens is very unhappy that his guy lost the match, while Bron Breakker's stock keeps rising. TOMMASO CIAMPA SHOWS UP TO HIT BREAKKER WITH WILLOW'S BELL ONTO THE NXT TITLE!! Ciampa: "At WarGames, you won the battle. This is the war. Welcome back to the deep end! Just remember Bron, sharks swim here."
