Sat. #2 is HERE. To help out the site subscribe to Mistah MegaManFan or support us on Patreon. With the cheap plugs out of the way here's Sunday's latest wrestling news.

Lio RushAccording to his own tweet Lio Rush's current AEW deal expires February 14th and he's already accepting independent bookings.

Many people within All Elite Wrestling were already aware that Rush would not be staying on, and several other talent deals are expiring soon that will "quietly lapse" without an announcement by Tony Khan or AEW. (FF)

Brian Cage and Marko Stunt both have deals that are among those expiring who could quietly disappear... because they already have. Stunt hasn't been on TV since September and Cage hasn't since October, although Cage has been backstage regularly since then. Stunt on the other hand recently auditioned for NBC's The Voice. (PWI)

Bron Breakker and Gunther (f/k/a WALTER) are both scheduled to be in St. Louis for the Royal Rumble. (PWI)

New WWE related videos are available below.

In addition here are some AEW related videos.

The overnight (early) numbers for SmackDown were 2.136 million viewers and a 0.60 18-49 demo. That would be down from the final number of 2.174 million a week earlier, but UP from a 0.56 demo. (SpoilerTV) Those numbers will of course change.

The latest episode of NWA USA is below.

In this interview Matt Cardona gives his thoughts on GCW: "When I first heard about GCW, I was like, 'Oh, this deathmatch shit, I don't want to do that.' But then when I was there and I go to these shows, I realize, yes, that's just a small part of it, the deathmatch stuff. Some of the stuff these guys can do, the athleticism. Then you have me, just walking out, listen, I am doing like old school wrestling, people just hate me. I don't even have to wrestle, I just talk and they hate me. There's so many different styles, there is something for everybody. Then we have guys like Jeff Jarrett come in, he's not doing a deathmatch with Effy. There's just so much going into it and that's why I think a lot of people do compare it to ECW. Because yes, there is the bloody violent stuff, but there's so much more, especially the passion."

Highlights from the last episode of Impact Wrestling are below.

Peter Avalon's deal with AEW has reportedly expired and he's only working on a "per appearance" basis now. (PWI)

Willie Mack was scheduled for last Friday's Impact tapings in Florida but missed the show for unknown reasons. (PWI)

Paul Wight (The Big Show) has been added to WrestleCon 2022. (PWI)

EFFY is not a fan of Billy Corgan: "Billy Corgan is not a good wrestling booker. Billy Corgan is a loser, what else do I have to say? That guy is literally making trope wrestling that is presented non-ironically. And, I want the roster to get all the money they can, but what a fucking dork. Billy Corgan, you have not been cool since the rat in a cage song. And I don't even know if you were cool then, sorry. I have nothing to gain from Billy Corgan, and I need him objectively, because I know he's surrounded by people that are like, 'ooh Trevor Murdoch and Nick Aldis, that's an interesting match-up, great idea boss.' And this is the problem with every company. I am just mad that someone so dweeby, who has no real understanding of what's going on in wrestling and thinks so high and mighty of himself and goes around looking like Salad Fingers, the alien. Touching everybody and standing weird. I am over it, I am sick of it. Why do you get the position to have this? Because you made a bunch of money off a band? You're now who gets to control wrestling? We've got to get these dweebs out. I am sick of these dweebs telling us who's good at wrestling because they have the money. And everybody goes, 'well he pays me so I don't want to say he's a dweeb.' I'll say he's a dweeb, I pay myself. Billy Corgan is a dweeb."

Doudrop says she's been waiting 15 years to face Becky Lynch: "I've been waiting 15 years for this match. Way back when I first started training in a little warehouse in Linwood, Scotland, there really wasn't many experienced girls in the UK wrestling scene at all. There was me, Nikki Storm - who had also just started out - down in England we had Mischief and Erin Angel and then over in Ireland we had Miss Rebecca Knox. We were very aware of Becky at the time. Even back then she was at the top of her game. She was the girl our trainers were trying to get in and have matches with us so we could learn from her, get some kind of experience. But, sadly, unbeknownst to us at the time, she was just packing up things there to move over to the U.S. We made efforts to get her over but it just didn't work out. So 15 long years later, here we are. It's one big ass circle to go in, but we got there."

The Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame stream is below.

In this interview AQA (Zayda Ramier) talks about her time in WWE and subsequent release: "When I talked to my doctor to have him do all my bloodwork and tests and then she pulled out, she was like, 'Yeah, you have a deficiency in this and that but all of these other levels are great so we're gonna get you some Vitamin D and stuff, get those levels back up' and I went to a doctor that was recommended to me by them. I went to him and basically he told me the same thing. He was like, 'Yeah, you were dehydrated that day and I can see that' and he wrote me a letter of clearance. He's one of their hard doctors and he was like, 'Yeah, you're fine. I'm gonna clear you. There you go.' So I had that and so what I later discovered was there was a bit of an inaccuracy on my paperwork so that's what I think eventually led to my firing because all my doctors were in agreement that like, 'You're fine,' you know what I mean? 'But because of this particular diagnosis, we can't clear you from that' and which I understand. Liability, business, all that, I ain't dumb. You don't become a billion-dollar corporation out of nowhere, you know what I mean? So you gotta check all your Ps and Qs so I get it. It was no hard feelings on that and so I had ended up speaking to the doctor that put on my paper work, it was like, 'You have two true episodes of syncope' and I was like, 'But I've never synco-fied. I've never passed out before.' All I've had was the, you stand up, you see the black and that's it, you know? You're back to normal or doing whatever you're doing and so I spoke with him on it and basically, I explained the situation. I was like, 'Here's what my doctor said and here's what your other colleague said.' I was like, 'How can we, you know, work together?' Because for me, it was more so about, I just want my record clean, you know? Because that could affect my work elsewhere, you know what I mean? Because people are, 'Oh! I don't wanna take a gamble if you got medically disqualified' but, I'm 100 percent fine and good to go. It's just I was like, I need that - even if they don't hire me back, I was like, 'I just want that off of my medical record that I had syncope' because I had never had that before and so I was in talks with him and he basically told me, he was like, 'Yeah, I'm gonna work on it for you. I'm gonna get with your doctor.' He already had my doctor in his system so I was like, 'Oh, this is great' and we'll see what we come up with and what we can do so, still waiting to hear back on that. Like I said, more so I want that just so everyone knows I'm fine to wrestle. I don't want anyone thinking they're taking a risk on me and be like, 'Oh, it could be my ring that she collapses in,' you know what I mean? So, I'm fine and everything. I'm just waiting for that to clear up a little bit. So that's basically what happened. It was no 'they didn't treat me right' because I saw a lot of that online and it was just like, 'Oh, they didn't give her a chance and they threw her to the wolves' and I was like, 'No, no, no, no. They gave me plenty of chances.'"

Booker T says if WWE was going to sell the company they would keep it quiet: "I'm going to tell you something: if they were selling the company, they are going to keep it quiet. And the thing is, that's not something you want to go promoting to the world or anything like that or even your employees. You don't want to bring morale down no more than perhaps it already is or anything like that. As well, it might be one of those things where the sale might not go through."

Erick Redbeard (Erick Rowan) talks about working with Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman) again: "The last time we tagged together was in WWE in 2016. So much has happened since then. He went on this main-event run, and I'm really happy and proud of everything he has accomplished. He's someone with this never-quit attitude, and that's something which doesn't go unnoticed. It's been quite a gap since we last teamed together, so there will be some nostalgia when we are back in the ring. We were on the road so much together, and it will feel like home when we get in the ring together."

Chris Hero did the induction for the late Tracy Smothers at the IWHOF on Saturday night.
