Nickolye's WWE NXT recap for April 26, 2022 at 8 PM ET! Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend in one-on-one action. Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen and Fallon Henley take on Legado Del Fantasma in a 6-person mixed tag match. Bron Breakker prepares for his battle against Joe Gacy, also Tony D'Angelo faces Von Wagner, and more! What's next for the superstars of NXT 2.0? Hit F5 or refresh as often as you like for the latest updates!

* Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend

They waste no time getting into it!! This match is mainly Nikkita showing off her athleticism but she gets dumped on her head outside the ring. Lash gloats after simply knocking her off the apron and throws her into the steel steps. Nikkita rolls her up for 2 and she's clearly the fan favorite, but Lash finally hits an actual move with a sidewalk slam (she's mostly been throwing punches) and gets a 2--count. Nikkita catches her foot, kicks her in the leg, delivers an exploder suplex, a German suplex, forearm smash in the corner, 10-punch countered, counters with a hurricanrana, roundhouse kick, and covers for 3! WINNER: NIKKITA LYONS.

Natalya jumps Lyons immediately after the bell! Natalya and Lash Legend double-team on Nikkita, until Cora Jade makes the save attacking Legend with her skateboard! Cora and Natalya face off, Natalya takes her down, goes for the Sharpshooter, but Nikkita hits a big boot to save her savior.

Tony D'Angelo speaks backstage about supposed to face Xyon Quinn but he's out for tonight, so now he will face Von Wagner. D'Angelo says Wagner will sleep with the fishes, and Santos Escobar should know what he's talking about. Breaktime!

When we come back, Roderick Strong is giving a pep talk with Diamond Mine and doesn't want them to crumble like his last group. He points out to The Creed Brothers that they kept getting close to the tag titles, but they remind Roddy that at Stand & Deliver they didn't get pinned and they got dumped by Pretty Deadly after battling three previous teams. Strong is only hearing excuses, so he set up a match for next week against former world tag team champions. Malcolm Bivens is perplexed. It's THE VIKING RAIDERS! Later on tonight, we'll hear from Bron Breakker.

* Von Wagner vs. "The Don of NXT" Tony D'Angelo

Mr. Stone is out with Von Wagner, and Wade Barrett notes that Stone paid Wagner's fine and got his suspension lifted. Both of these competitors are not fan favorites, so this matchup is interesting. Nothing happens for a while, even after D'Angelo slaps him early on. There's a small "Tony" and "Let's go Tony" chant but it doesn't really go anywhere. Wagner takes the offense, blocks a suplex, traps him in the ropes, but then gets kicked out the ring literally. D'Angelo gives him an inverted atomic drop, sends him out the ring, Wagner drops him on the apron with a back suplex, and we go to a commercial break.

We get picture-in-picture here and Wagner is back on offense throughout. Wagner hits clotheslines in the corners, a short-arm clothesline, covers for 2, and puts him in a chinlock. D'Angelo does a sunset flip for 2, but Wagner delivers a fallaway slam and puts him back in the chinlock. No matter how many times D'Angelo tries to fight back, he keeps getting beat down back to where he started.

When we come back full-screen, Wagner drops him with a spinebuster for 2, D'Angelo comes back with a belly-to-belly throw, a belly-to-belly suplex, and Mr. Stone looks on as both men are down. Both men trade shots, D'Angelo with a double-leg takedown, body blows, suplex, Wagner clotheslines him, picks him up, D'Angelo counters, Wagner blocks the fisherman suplex, tosses him onto the apron and D'Angelo falls to the floor. Legado Del Fantasma show up on the apron, but the two goombas from last week pull them off the apron, but suddenly Santos Escobar clubs D'Angelo in the knee with a crowbar! Mr. Stone taunts D'Angelo as the referee starts his count, gets to the count of 9, D'Angelo slides into the ring, Wagner greets him with a big boot and covers for 3. WINNER: VON WAGNER.

Backstage, Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta are talking to Roxanne Perez about her debut last week. Toxic Attraction show up to mock them, and they claim Perez only won as a distraction. Perez says "A win is a win" and challenges them to another match tonight. Mandy Rose mocks her and basically dismisses Perez, while Indi and Persia tell her not to worry about them. Breaktime after a promo for Nathan Frazer.

Fallon, Briggs and Jensen are all ready to get out there and have a big match. The blonde woman walks by, Jensen introduces himself to her, but his friends help him refocus after she ignores him. Breaking news for next week's NXT Spring Breakin', it will be Natalya and Lash Legend against Cora Jade and Nikkita Lyons!

Andre Chase, Bodhi Hayward and the rest of Chase U are in the crowd to watch this next match, the debut of Nathan Frazer! Wait, Grayson Waller just attacked Frazer's opopnent outside the ring in front of the announce table. Waller grabs a microphone and tells Frazer that no one cares about him or his debut. "If you and that Willy Wonda heaircut take one more step, this is gonna get embarrassing. This is MY NXT. I don't need Sanga, this is the Grayson Waller Show! I do what I want, when I want." Waller spots Chase U in the crowd and mocks them too. Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward step to the ring, and Nathan Frazer hits Waller with a missile dropkick, forearm smashes, and dropkicks him out the ring followed by a suicide dive! Chase gets on the mic and tells Waller that right now they have "a teachable moment!"

Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett discuss what just happened, and they announce that in two weeks will start the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament! We meet one of the competitors named Arianna Grace, a former beauty pageant queen but she's trained in boxing and MMA and ready to kick some ass. Breaktime.

Tiffany Stratton gets interviewed next and complains that Sarray pulled her hair three times last week. Grayson Waller walks in, complains about Nathan Frazer, they both complain about him, and Waller challenges him to a match.

* Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz

(Side note: Kacy Catanzaro is now known as Katana Chance.) Kayden and Yulisa start the match, they dance and taunt each other, Yulisa lands on her feet from a hiptoss, dropkicks her, tags out and assists Valentina with a headscissors. Kayden gets the upper hand, Katana tags in, double team, Katana hits a spinning splash, and even the crowd chants "Katana" for her. Valentina avoids a dropkick, applies an armbar, Katana covers for 2, hits a springboard crossbody and gets a 2-count. Tonight, Mandy Rose takes on Roxanne Perez! Kayden tags back in, covers for a 2-count, puts her in a grounded abdominal stretch and gets a 2-count. Katana tags in, hits the slingshot senton, 2-count, grounded ab stretch again, and the crowd does a duel chant for Valentina and Katana.

Yulisa gets the hot tag, clotheslines Carter, clothesline in a corner, top rope missile dropkick connects, covers for 2, Valentina tags in, Yulisa body slams Carter then military press slams Valentina onto her! Katana breaks the count, tosses Leon out the ring, Kayden rolls Feroz up for 2, hits a forearm, Yulisa pulls Chance off the apron, Valentina locks in the octopus stretch, does a headscissors, Yulisa tags in, Kayden avoids the springboard moonsault, Valentina tags back in, Katana is back up, makes the tag, and Kayden superkicks Feroz. They hit the neckbreaker and 450 Splash combo, and that picks up the win! WINNERS: KATANA CHANCE & KAYDEN CARTER!

Backstage, Brooks Jensen has been jumped with his hand smacked against a cement block. The training staff tell Briggs that Jensen cannot compete tonight, and that pisses him off. Breaktime.

We get a video package for Kay Lee Ray saying it's been eight months since her NXT journey began. She plans to resurrect her past, proposes a rebirth, and says her name is now Alba Fyre.

* Josh Briggs & Fallon Henley vs. Legado Del Fantasma

Josh Briggs attacks Cruz Del Toro before the bell and Fallon Henley goes after Elektra Lopez! Briggs and Henley clear the ring, the bell dings, and it's Henley and Lopez to start the match. Joaquin Wilde tags in, Briggs takes him out, brings Del Toro in as well, and suplexes Wilde into Del Toro. Henley kicks Lopez in the head, they both punch their opponents, Briggs catches Del Toro, and Wilde hits a chopblock from behind. Suddenly, Mr. Stone gets on commentary and notes that just like Ikemen Jiro had wondering eyes, Brooks Jensen had wondering eyes, so "do the match." Ahhhh, it was Von Wagner. Legado Del Fantasma continue their assault on Briggs with quick tags and clotheslines in their corner, and they deliver a double back suplex. Wilde covers for 2, continues the beatdown, tags out, and Briggs kicks him into the turnbuckles.

Briggs drops Del Toro, the women tag in, Henley jumps off of Briggs's back to land on Lopez with a crossbody, punches her, shoulder tackle, clothesline, jumping calf kick, and covers for a near-fall. Wilde tags back in, dropkicks Briggs, but Briggs drops them both, sidewalk slam to Wilde, jumping splash, and Lopez breaks the count. Henley takes her down again and they battle at ringside. Briggs fights alone now, Del Toro hits a missile dropkick, Wilde with a tilt-a-whirl, Del Toro hits the gamengiri and Wilde follows up with the Russian legsweep. Del Toro covers for the 1-2-3. WINNERS: LEGADO DEL FANTASMA!

Backstage, Natalya and Lash Legend get interviewed. Natalya claims she will breaks Cora Jade's legs. Lash Legend is happy to team up with a legend, and claims she isn't done with Nikkita Lyons. They claim to get the win next week at Spring Breakin'. Cameron Grimes heads out next as he will be on commentary for the next match. After the break, we meet Kiana James, a brainiac who calculated her odds for winning the Breakout Tournament.

* Solo Sikoa vs. Trick Williams

Williams shows his athleticism at the start, throws him around working on the left shoulder, puts him in a hammerlock, Sikoa throws him off, hits a shoulder block, body slam, and now he works on Trick's arm. Williams hits a spinning leg lariat, dropkick, hits a spinning neckbreaker, 2-count, and puts on an armbar. Sikoa fires up, delivers a capture suplex, punches and uppercuts, avalanche in the corners, Samoan drop, and lands the Uso Splash for 3. WINNER: SOLO SIKOA.

Cameron Grimes steps in the ring to exchange words with Solo Sikoa, but Carmelo Hayes pushes Solo aside to yell at the North American Champion. Hayes side-steps as Sikoa superkicks Grimes!

Backstage, Malik Blade is nervous in the locker room before facing The Viking Raiders tonight. Edris Enofé encourages his partner to get him ready for their match. Breaktime. When we come back, Legado Del Fantasma are happy about their victory. Santos Escobar is especially happy to get his revenge on Tony D'Angelo earlier.

* Edris Enofé & Malik Blade vs. The Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders receive "Welcome back" and "Welcome home" chants from the NXT crowd. Ivar hits a shoulder block to Blade, so Blade tags out to Enofé, and Erik gets the tag as well. Erik overpowers him down, Enofé jumps on his back, dropkicks him, Blade tags in, double team, not even a 1-count, Enofé tags in, and Erik just clobbers him. Ivar tags in, elbows him in the head, Erik tags back in, knees him in the jaw, and covers for 2. Enofé tries to make it to his corner, does all he can to side-step, dodge and evade, and eventually makes the hot tag. Blade hits a springboard double axe handle, flying forearm, dropkick, clothesline in the ropes, Enofé makes the tag, Ivar catches Blade, but Enofé takes him down with the crossbody for a 2-count. Blade tags back in, Ivar crushes Enofé, gives Blade a back body drop, Erik tags in, full nelson knee to Enofé's back, Ivar tags back in, double powerbomb on Blade, and that gets the 3-count. WINNERS: THE VIKING RAIDERS!

The Viking Raiders shake hands with Blade and Enofé in a show of respect. They spot The Creed Brothers on the ramp, and these two teams clash next week! We get a video package for Wes Lee going for the NXT Tag Team Championships a couple weeks ago, and having it taken away from him. Now he must re-focus and shift his way of thinking to make a new path for himself. Breaktime.

Tony D'Angelo gets interviewed, he is in no mood for anything after what Santos Escobar did, so he claims he made a few calls to bring in his goombas as his new crew. Troy "Two Dimes" Donovan and Channing Lorenzo a/k/a Stacks are introduced, and next week he wants to sit down with Santos next week at Spring Breakin' before things get worse.

* Roxanne Perez vs. Mandy Rose {NXT Women's Champion}
  [non-title match]

They lock up, Mandy sits her on the top turnbuckle, pulls her down and shoves her into the corner. Roxanne with a rear waistlock, Mandy counters, Roxanne kips up, does a victory roll, and gets a 1-count as the crowd does dualing chants. Roxanne does a couple of armdrags, rolls into a headscissors schoolgirl roll-up for 2, Mandy hits a forearm, Roxanne rolls her up for 1, crucifix pin for 2, Mandy taunts her, so Roxanne bites her fingers! Mandy gets frustrated and throws her out the ring, but Rozanne slams Rose's hand against the steel steps and Mandy whines about it as we take a commercial break.

We get picture-in-picture here, Roxanne kicks Mandy's hand, Mandy gets back in, Roxanne teases her with evasions, applies the guillotine, Mandy reaches the ropes, Roxanne stands on her hand, stomps on it, and goes back to the guillotine. Mandy backs her into the turnbuckles and hits a spinebuster.
