Wed. #2 is HERE. To help out the site subscribe to Mistah MegaManFan or support us on Patreon. With the cheap plugs out of the way here's Thursday's latest wrestling news.

Cody RhodesHere's the kind of story you just don't see often enough -- even though he left AEW and went to WWE, Cody Rhodes kept a promise to get a fan tickets to AEW's show last night after the two bonded when his older brother died. "People come and go and wrestle and change and stars are all around and I'm currently fully on board and committed and all in with WWE as happy as I have ever been. But that does not discount what I helped create. It doesn't discount my friends that remain there (in AEW) or anything of that nature or fans of that product. I'm not intending on invalidating their experience and I don't think anyone of this generation is really looking to do that. I think it is important to not get into the weeds, and find the positives, find the people who enjoy what you're doing and are supporting and following. That's just a great example of wrestling as an international language. I hope it's going that direction, that there is more positivity, that it's not so much about the contrary and opinions selling yourself against it versus just hey, they like what we do. Let me help you see what it is that we do live and in person."

On his latest podcast Booker T talked about the negative reception Sammy Guevara is getting: "There was a lot of rumor there, he was with Tay, he wasn't, he was, then it came out, boom, he and Tay are together. Now they're posting photos on social media, now every young girl in the country that watched AEW, that perhaps thought they had a chance to get a date with Sammy Guevara, all of that has gone out the window now. You don't need to be talking about that on television. Because there again, you've got a lot of young people that wish they could be next to you. The reason why they buy the merch is because of that one reason. The reason why they buy the ticket, is so they can come and cheer for you for that one reason. When you take all of that away from them, that could be the beginning of the end."

Coincidentally Scorpio Sky beat Sammy Guevara for the TNT Title last night.

Speaking of podcasts, Jake "The Snake" Roberts explained why he didn't enjoy working in front of Japanese fans: "Yeah, they are different. I don't enjoy the Japanese audiences at all, man. They're very reserved. You go out and bust your ass, you want some type of reaction out of these people. But they're very reserved and very inside. And you might get (clap noise) and that's it. 'Now wait a fucking minute, come on! Is that it?' I believe I was wrestling Boss Man, I think. What's interesting about that is it just shows you what American culture and wrestling, how it changes the way people are."

New WWE related videos are available below.

In addition new AEW related videos are available below.

NXT 2.0 did slightly better this week than last week, with 577,000 viewers (up from 569,000) and a 0.14 18-49 demo (up from 0.12). (SBD)

By his own account on social media Joey Janela's current AEW contract expires this week.

In this interview Ricky Starks talks about the relationship between promos and commentary: "There's a misconception that just because you're charismatic and can cut a promo that you can also do commentary. They're not one and the same, at all. There's a lot of ebbs and flows, and a lot of stuff to commentary that people don't even think about. So, when you're out there and it's a show that is live and we have to move from one thing to another, and you can't say something, it's worrisome. The funny thing was, my first few times they would say a joke to me, and for me to get a response in I would wait a minute or two. By that point, we've already moved on, so I can't even make a retort to that. So, I found that out the hard way, and not be so longwinded. It's good working with Excalibur, and Taz, and Jericho, all these people they help me out. And I think they understand that I am trying the best I can."

Here's a press release I did NOT see coming.

Copywrite vs. John Cena: A Battle of Words

On his new album The High Exhaulted II, buzzing Columbus rapper Copywrite has shared news of an intriguing situation that occurred with WWE wrestler John Cena. On track 3, titled "Spoiler Alert / Have U Cena?", he reveals that Cena stole his lyrics for his own music and WWE performances in a barrage of bars that dissect the fiasco with the wrestler. As Copy says, he first caught Cena stealing lyrics for his WWE act as rapper on YouTube-

"I got the news from a fan out the blue, at first I think was the truth/
Til he sent the YouTube link as the proof/
Now I'm tryna think what to do".

Embarrassingly for Cena, it was in fact glaringly obvious to the veteran rapper that his lyrics had been ripped off without permission, as Copy rhymes "bit it, it was so apparent". After a beat switch, the second half of the track ups the ante even further and finds him coming at Cena with sharply-crafted, fierce bars. Lines like "lies, what your rap career is based on" and "right now, John loves to play emcee" expose Cena's biting vehemently, driving home the point that he used many lifted lyrics to formulate his rap act for WWE.

"Spoiler Alert / Have U Cena?" is a potent diss track that attacks Cena from all angles, taking no prisoners in the process. In hip-hop history, biting lyrics and styles has always been a cardinal sin, and it appears Cena has committed these sins in regards to stealing shamelessly. "Spoiler Alert / Have U Cena?" offers interesting surprises at every turn, as Copy sharply dissects the situation and throws lyrical darts at Cena with each bar.

In this interview Mick Foley recalls an argument he had with "The Coach" Jonathan Coachman: "As long as I've known Jonathan Coachman, I only had one argument. That was when he was maligning the good name of Stacy Keibler. Stacy didn't want to come back to WWE, she wanted to do other things. So I cut what we in the trade call a promo on Coach about how unlike those guys, the women didn't have their travel paid, they didn't get their rental cars or hotels paid for. They were expected to be great ambassadors of the company. They were expected to look good at all times, traveling the globe. And in the end, after taxes, they're not making - I just didn't think it was in keeping with a Superstar should be making."

NXT star Odyssey Jones talks about his torn patella injury from NXT: "I went for an up and over and went up, but didn't go over. Went up and straight down. I was being... I could have worked smarter. I didn't work smart enough. That's my learning curve. God willing, if I get another opportunity to get back out there and do it again, I know for a fact that I'll do it better. If that opportunity comes, I'm hoping. I'm excited for the return, but I try not to think about it too much. It's the light at the end of the tunnel and a little bit out of reach. I'd rather be where my ass is and focus on things. I'm already walking, braced up, no crutch. Six weeks post-op, seven weeks from the injury."

Speaking of injuries Rey Fenix returned on Dynamite last night to attack the House of Black.
