There was some drama at the official UFC 274 weigh-ins yesterday. On both his first and second attempt, lightweight champion Charles Oliveira came in at 155.5 pounds, one half pound over the limit. For those used to a one pound allowance at weigh-in, it's worth nothing that this doesn't apply to title fights, where you must either be exactly on weight or under the weight limit. As a result Oliveira has been stripped of the lightweight title, meaning even if he wins the main event of UFC 274 tonight, he can't retain the belt. Only the challenger Justin Gaethje is eligible to win the lightweight title and if he doesn't defeat Oliveira the title will be vacated with no current champion in the 155 pound weight class. (UFC)

Sunny (Tammy Sytch) has finally been arrested in connection with the fatal traffic accident she caused on March 25th of this year in Ormond Beach, Florida. She ran into the vehicle of Julian L. Lasseter at high speed while his vehicle was stopped, causing Lasseter's vehicle to be launched into another stopped vehicle, killing Mr. Lasseter. Sytch was tested for impairment while hospitalized after the accident, but the toxicology report had been pending for weeks and she was not under arrest while the Ormond Beach Police Department awaited those results. Apparently they are now in because she was picked up yesterday on NINE charges: DUI causing the death of a person (DUI manslaughter), driving with a suspended or revoked license causing death or serious injury, and seven counts of DUI causing damage to a person or property.
