Vince McMahonMultiple news sources have now reported that Vince McMahon has stepped down as CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment. Stephanie McMahon is returning from her leave of absence to be the interim CEO in his place while the investigation into his "hush money" payments continues. Vince will retain his role in the creative/writing part of Raw and SmackDown. In addition the law firm of Scott & Scott is investigating the WWE board of directors for breach of fiduciary duty.

Stephanie McMahon: "Until the conclusion of the investigation into recent allegations, I am honored to assume the role of interim Chairwoman & CEO. I love WWE and all it continues to do to entertain billions around the world."

Vince is now scheduled to appear on SmackDown tonight. Keep in mind that whatever he says is likely to be "in character" as Mr. McMahon and not have any bearing on him actually stepping down as chairman and CEO.

Madison Square Garden is now advertising Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle as the main event of Raw at MSG on July 25th. Also advertised are Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, Bobby Lashley, Becky Lynch, The Street Profits, AJ Styles, and Austin Theory.

Speaking of advertised for upcoming events -- Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair, The Usos, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch are being advertised for Extreme Rules 2022 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on October 8th. (PWI)

Apparently Jeff Hardy was pulled from the ladder match even before his drunk driving incident, as the story about him getting a brain scan was/is true. (WO)

Dave Meltzer just said on Wrestling Observer Live that putting Stephanie McMahon in as CEO is "keeping up appearances" and that Vince is clearly still running the company while making it seem like he's not. "Interim CEO. That wording alone is telling you it's just because there's an investation going on. The fact Stephanie got it (the CEO job) tells you Vince is still in control." (WO)

I'm not saying he has an ego but Ric Flair says if he were 35 right now nobody could afford his price.

Matt Hardy says Jeff is embarrassed by his recent arrest. He should be mortified that he could have killed someone, not just embarrassed.
