Wed. #2 is HERE. To help out the site subscribe to Mistah MegaManFan or support us on Patreon. With the cheap plugs out of the way here's Thursday's latest wrestling news.

WardlowWardlow beat Scorpio Sky for the TNT Title in the opening match (with street fight stipulations) of last night's Dynamite. He also got new entrance music before the match. Wardlow finished him with a Powerbomb Symphony. (AEW)

A new report has emerged saying Colt Cabana was set to be released from AEW all the way back in March, but the situation caused "a bit of an uproar" backstage due to how popular he is with the roster both in the ring and for the work he does outside of it. In the end Cabana ended up working the ROH Supercard of Honor show and is believed to now be part of the ROH roster internally, even though he's still listed on the AEW roster on their site. (FF)

The controversial Wrestling Entertainment Series event is no more. The show had already been postponed once to this Friday (July 9th) before a report emerged this week that they had only sold 350 tickets for a venue that seats 10,000. In addition Lina Fanene (f/k/a Nia Jax) had accused them of false advertising her as appearing at this show. Other talent had complained in previous weeks they had been booked but not paid, and/or has cancelled bookings they could hvae taken the same weekend thinking WES would come through. Here's their statement: "Dear fans and followers, unfortunately we will have to cancel the event scheduled for this Saturday at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England. We are deeply disappointed in the news that we have to share but with so many talent not showing up we will have no choice then to cancel the event. Our team worked so hard on this event day in and day out for the fans to come with a different type of wrestling event and believe that we still will be able to show that in the near future. We do want to say that all our talent that was scheduled have been paid in full and that Lina Fanene was paid her deposit as well while she changed her mind and did not want to show up and wrestle anymore. For now we will have to apologize for this, but we promise that it will not end here. See you soon!"

Adam Scherr (f/k/a Braun Strowman) called BS on their statement: "Straight garbage to try and blame talent not showing up. I'm not a stooge but the truth will come out. Y'all are good at finding it." Josh Alexander concurs: "Be better. If you love wrestling just leave it to the pros or actually do what what you say you're going to. 'Wrestlers no showing' – ain't ever going to be a thing. Maybe 1 or 2. But not enough to warrant cancelling a show. We love this." The truth is most likely they couldn't afford what they were trying to do and with only 350 tickets sold they would never cover their expenses. In fact multiple sources confirmed to Fightful that's the real reason they cancelled.

Darby Allin and Brody King exchanged words, and Allin appeared to be offering King a handshake as a show of respect, but the House of Black refused and left. Sting and Allin played to the audience afterward. (PWI)
