Taya Valkyrie talks about her WWE release when she was briefly known as Franky Monet: "At first, it was just shocking, and I was upset, and I was mad, because I never felt - I still don't feel - like I got an opportunity to shine. And there were a lot of things that were completely out of my control, obviously, such as the pandemic. It really sucks, because I didn't get that chance to work one-on-one with Paul - Triple H - or Shawn Michaels on a regular basis. And I just wish that I'd gotten that opportunity as well. So, I definitely now would be like 'never say never.' You never know. But everything, the universe always has a plan."

XFL & IFL ANNOUNCE PLAYER PERSONNEL PARTNERSHIP

The XFL and the Indoor Football League (IFL) today announced a wide-ranging player personnel partnership.

The partnership provides the framework for transferring players between leagues and the opportunity for players released from XFL teams to be transferred to IFL squads. The two leagues will also work together in scheduling joint tryouts and sharing video and game films.

"Our partnership with the IFL is a win across the board," said Doug Whaley, XFL SVP Player Personnel. "Not only will the League have access to a consistent pool of highly competitive players who are in game shape, but it will also provide the opportunity for some of our players to continue their development and extend their professional careers."

"We are extremely excited to be working with the XFL," said Todd Tryon, Commissioner of the IFL. "This partnership will allow a bigger opportunity for the players of the IFL. Our goal is to create a platform for our players to advance their career on and off the field and this is another step towards that."

Here Carmelo Hayes talks about getting to shine so early in his NXT run: "That's one of the things that I don't take for granted. And I understand now, building credibility for myself ... but no, you know what? I thrive off of that type of pressure, man. I really do, so the fact that they threw me in there was more like, 'OK, watch.' Like, 'I don't belong in this spot,' or 'I hope I do.' It was like, 'All right, these are the guys I want to wrestle with.' When I told them my first match, I said, 'I want to work with the top guys. I want to be a top guy.' And then I said, 'We'll see.'"

Bret Hart speaks highly of working with Dusty Rhodes in WCW: "Dusty was one of the smartest guys I ever knew in the business. He was really good. I when remember when I was in WCW, he'd look at me, I'd look at him, and he'd go 'What the hell are we going to do today?' And we'd just look at each other like 'This is what they want.' We had, sometimes, just fragments of what they wanted us to do. WCW, Bischoff, and those guys were so clueless. Dusty was one of those guys that took what little they gave him and turned it into something good. He had a good imagination."

WWE is reportedly planning to have a "premium live event" for NXT on December 10th, the same day as ROH Final Battle. (FF)
