The Acclaimed come out for National Scissoring Day.

Bowens: "Washington, DC, welcome to the very first National Scissoring Day! It's a special night, unlike anything in our sport's history, and it's brought to you by The Acclaimed. The best team in AEW history! The winningest team in AEW history! The best homegrown tag team in AEW history! And it's official, thanks to all of you, the Scissor Me Daddy Ass t-shirt is now the best selling in 2022. We brought home gold! Which means AEW no longer stands for All Elite Wrestling, it stands for Acclaimed Every Wednesday! Now, The Acclaimed celebrates by scissoring. I know a thing or two about scissoring. They used to call Babe Ruth the Sultan of Swat. Well, I'm the Sultan of Scissor! You might have noticed that Scissor Day was trending all day on Twitter. Let me break it down: Scissoring is a handshake between friends. A sign of trust and friendship. We know that AEW wants a real tag team. Not two guys who were thrown together like Keith Lee and Sneaky Swerve. Sneaky Swerve wants you to believe that they should be the tag team champions. That they're the most popular tag team in AEW. Swerve, this isn't your house."

Gunn: "This is Daddy Ass's house. Now, for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching at home, this is National Scissoring Day! Now, I went down to City Hall today, and was asked if I could give you guys this."

He hands them a gold-wrapped package, there's a giant pair of scissors inside. Bowens starts to run with them.

Gunn: "No running with scissors in your hands, please."

Caster: "At this point, we'd like to ask you to turn to your neighbour on your left and right, and offer a gesture of friendship with your neighbour, via scissoring. As National Scissoring Day comes to a close, I want to talk about greatness. About 40 years ago, greatness was achieved in this city when Washington won the SuperBowl. A lot of people might not remember it, I wasn't even born yet, but it means a lot to me because my dad was on that team. His ring was his most prized possession, just like I wear these titles. Washington, DC also represents the ugly side of America, the division in this country. But everyone loves The Acclaimed. So tonight there is no left, no right, no red, no blue, The Acclaimed wear pink, and everyone looks good in pink, so tonight, we're going to do the first bipartisan scissor, you ready?"

Swerve interrupts. "This is the most idiotic thing I think I've ever seen. Oh, congratulations on your little #1 selling shirt, now a bunch of kids can go to school and get suspended in this decade, too. These are your tag champs? Both of those titles should be on Billy's shoulders, because if it wasn't for you, we'd still be champions. I've got to take care of business, so next week, when we go to Toronto, it's going to be Billy Gunn going into Swerve's house, one on one. And if you stick that hand up, you're never going to use it again, because rock beats scissors."

Mark Sterling comes out. "I told you all months ago! Paper bests scissors, pal. I told you all that Swerve was a jerk! Now I'm going to tell The Acclaimed what you need to hear. You need me. You can't beat Swerve on your own, we saw Grand Slam. So let's give the people what they want, that's you scissoring me!"

The Acclaimed and Gunn proceed to beat down Sterling.

Gunn: "Wait, wait, Swerve, before you leave. I accept gladly. Next week, Dynamite, Toronto. But you can leave now, because we have one more thing to do."

The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn finally pull off their scissoring.

They show a package for Dark Order, talking about how this Friday is two years since Brodie Lee's last match, but they're going to win the trios championships.

Private Party come out reluctantly, Moxley comes out and runs them off, then grabs a mic. "I've been waiting for this for three years. Three years of AEW Dynamite, three years of watching you, three years of studying you, because I knew this was coming. Three years of us circling each other. You know, between the two of us we've beaten just about everyone there is to beat, except each other. On October 18th, in Cincinnati, there will be one last man standing in AEW. In 13 days, I'm going to leave my house, walk down the street, and I'm going to break your face. I'm going to choke you until you're blue. Because you're in my way. You're in my way of being the one true champion, the best in the world! I have all the respect in the world for your abilities, your talents, I respect you as a person. But when that bell rings, I have no respect for anyone."

"Hey, if you've been waiting for this for so long, where the hell are you going now?"

"You're a sweet kid, but like a lot of kids around here, your goddamn mouth gets you in trouble. I'm going to let you off the hook just this once, but this is your final warning. You've got thirteen days, watch your mouth."

Willow Nightingale challenges for the TNT Championship. Jade Cargill says she already beat her twice. Willow says she can't keep winning forever.

Match Five: Luchasaurus vs. Fuego Del Sol

Chokeslam, Burning Hammer, three.

Winner: Luchasaurus

Luchasaurus goes for a Canadian Backbreaker after the bell, Jungle Boy runs out and hits him with a chair, then grabs a mic. "Look at me. Look at me right now. You were my best friend in the entire world. You were my best friend! And after all we've been through together, you chose him. And you broke my heart. But now, I'm going to break your fingers. I'm going to break your nose. I'm going to break your arm, I'm going to break you piece by miserable piece, until I break you. You pick the time, you pick the place. I'll be ready."

Cage: "I told you not to come back this week! And it would be easy to come in there and drop you again. You said we pick the time and place? This week we're in your nation's capital, and I must be the only honest person in Washington, because I'll tell you that match is not happening tonight. The time is next Wednesday on Dynamite. The place is my hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada."
