Trish StratusIn this interview Trish Stratus says she worked WrestleMania 39 with an injury: "I had a few obstacles. I had a partially torn hamstring, by the way. Nobody knew about that. It was just like, WrestleMania, let's just go. This time, I had this injury, so I was a little unsure going in, but man, there's something about feeling at home. It's like riding a bike, as you guys know when we get back in there, your body's like, 'I got this just. Just do your thing,' and it just flows. I've kept my health and fitness up, and that always plays into it as well. I am good in those moments, right? I work well under pressure. I always feel like I have to prove myself every time I go out there, so that was like a big driving force for me that evening, was to go out and prove that I belong in this match, that I belong with these other talented women and that I still belong here, period."

Via social media Richard Holliday confirmed he's now a free agent after five years with MLW.

In this interview Tony Khan talks about the issues between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker: "Thunder Rosa is not cleared to return to the ring, yet. When she is, certainly, we'll welcome her back with open arms. It's been an interesting situation. Some of that stuff should stay behind closed doors, but that's where All Access does give fans a great chance to see what happens behind the scenes. We'll have more All Access taking a look backstage when Thunder Rosa comes back. I know that the locker room, and Thunder Rosa, at times, have had some stuff. I also think that should be largely between everyone that was in the room. There is a point on All Access where I have to make a decision, ‘this is as much access as anyone backstage would reasonably get.' You'll see me making tough choices about what we do and don't show. Thunder Rosa is a great wrestler and has been a great champion. I look forward to having her back. She's done a lot of things we would ask on the path to return and try to make amends with some people, but there are some things you can't amend. There are some people who are never going to get along or be friends. Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker are never going to be friends or get along. It's probably going to be an intense rivalry for as long as they are both wrestling. They are not two people who are ever going to be buddies. Thunder Rosa, we look forward to having her back in the ring."

MLW has announced a return to 2300 Arena in Philadelphia for "Never Say Never" on July 8th. In addition Court Bauer says MLW will do a live broadcast this year: "The number one thing fans have been asking is, 'How can I see MLW live?' That's been one of the things we've been working on since pre-pandemic. It was something we were working on with DAZN, and then DAZN's whole model changed and they went from attacking US to being more of an international business. Now, we're finally at that point where we're pretty deep in our conversations and I can tell you that MLW is going live this year. We're developing a few tentpoles. We have established some such as War Chamber, Battle Riot, or SuperFight. For us, the next step is adding super cards to a lineup where you can watch live worldwide. We've had conversations and have now received bids. We should be announcing something before the summer. Now fans have a chance to not just hear about results and see it a few weeks later on TV. They'll have a weekly TV show, and they'll have this unique window to see MLW and see those fights only there. Wherever there is, we'll be talking about that soon. That's basically what I'm consumed with now, besides putting together this weekly show, is finishing off this deal. We're pumped and being able to get into the mix with MLW live is a huge part of our future."

Hangman Page and AEW are in negotiations for a new deal. (FF)

The latest bit of legal wrangling in Marvin Jackson's lawsuit against WWE over injuries he suffered at WrestleMania 38 is that WWE filed a motion on March 31st to block Jackson (and his legal side) from blocking WWE from taking the case to arbitration. Got that? Yeah it's kind of nuts. If you're not up to speed though, Jackson says he didn't agree to the terms and conditions of the ticket that disputes be settled through arbitration, because Jackson himself didn't purchase the ticket and it was purchased for him through SeatGeek, so he has petitioned the court to not allow WWE to force him into arbitration. WWE responded with this motion: "Jackson does not and cannot dispute that the terms of the Arbitration and Release & Waiver of Liability Agreement expressly apply to him because he used the electronic ticket purchased through SeatGeek.com to attend WrestleMania 38. Jackson also does not and cannot dispute that his purported decision to ignore the terms of his ticket and the multiple notifications that were sent regarding such terms is legally irrelevant. Jackson, therefore, has failed to satisfy his burden to show that the Arbitration Agreement is invalid. Accordingly, the Court should grant WWE's Motion and compel arbitration." (PWI)

Speaking of legal matters, the official date for Tammy "Sunny" Sytch to go to trial on her DUI manslaughter charges is August 16th at 1:30 PM ET. (PWI)

AEW announced two new House Rules event in June in Tupelo, Mississippi on June 2 and Huntsville, Alabama on June 3. The ticket pre-sale code for Tupelo is OXDCMS and starts today at 10 AM CT. The ticket pre-sale for Huntsville is SPACE2 and starts at the same time. (PWI)

This week's NXT did 565,000 viewers, up from 528,000 last week. The 18-49 demo also went up from 0.13 to 0.14. (SBD)

Saraya talks about the formation of The Outcasts: "It kind of started falling together because Tony (Khan) put all these different matches together and there wasn't really a story to them right after me and Britt were done, and then they just started going together. Toni was like, 'I want to turn heel.' Tony Khan did this thing where he was like, 'We have to do this promo with (Hikaru) Shida. We did this backstage with Shida where I had to tell Toni, 'Hey, I want you to be my partner.' I told Tony Khan, because he was there for it, 'Do you care if I turn my back to Shida? I feel it's really shitty to do. It might come across as a little heelish,' but I kind of wanted to turn heel. He was like, 'Sure.' We did it. 'I love it. It was hilarious.' Shida was so great with her response. Then he started seeing me and Toni together more and more and we started building this tag team where we were more obsessed with each other and started hating everybody else. 'Okay, we need to bring one more person in,' because they wanted to eventually do the six-person. We were talking about Ruby. Ruby is ex-WWE with an outsider kind of thing, and I love to give nods to nWo, they are one of my favorite factions."

Battle Riot V will headline MLW Underground on Reelz next week.

David Finlay talks about training with Tyson Kidd and Natalya: "I watch wrestling every day. My three go-tos to watch are Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and my dad, Fit Finlay. The last year, year and a half, living in Tampa, I live pretty close to Tyson Kidd and Nattie Neidhart, and I've trained with them in their ring. I've been picking Kidd's brain for the last year and a half in their version of the dungeon. I grew up with a ring in my backyard, just like Nattie did. I'm in there on a regular basis fine-tuning my skills. It's not so much training. It feels more like a Fight Club, and that's translated well for me in New Japan."

Steve Austin explains why he didn't have a match at WrestleMania 39: "I haven't spoken to this, but I'll give you the story. I met with some people from WWE. We talked about the possibility of me wrestling at WrestleMania 39. The biggest thing in my mind was the presentation and what kind of match it was going to be. Going back to 38, the way the KO thing was presented - I love KO - I turned that down three, four, five times until the creative finally came to what it ended up being. I didn't want it constructed as a real match, per se. I needed something that could turn into one, and it did, but I think that's why we got away with it. The Dallas crowd was very receptive. I hadn't been around, so the timing was right. But to do a proper match, I'd have to be in off-the-charts shape. I told them, and this is the exact truth, I said, 'Guys, I'm just fixin' to go into production on this show, Stone Cold Takes on America, and until we start production, I don't know what my life looks like. I can't commit.' Sure enough, there were technical issues before we finished. I was supposed to finish a month before we did. There's no way, with the schedule I was doing - driving an RV all over God's creation, doing all I was doing - that I would be ready. I had two 30-pound dumbbells, a 45-pound sandbag, and a 25-pound kettlebell. Working 15 hours a day, then getting in a 30- or 40-minute workout, that doesn't get you ready for WrestleMania. And I was really protected at WrestleMania 38. This time, that wasn't going to be the case. That was a true statement: Until this show was over, I couldn't commit."

Some new NWA related videos are below.

Here's another AEW pre-sale code going live at 10 AM CT today - Wintrust Arena in Chicago on June 21st - and the code is SINCH3. (PWI)

MJF announced a Jack Perry, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin "AEW Pillars Tournament" with the winner getting a title shot against him. Darby Allin drew a by and Jack Perry will face Sammy Guevara next week. (AEW)

Billy Corgan talks about bringing NWA on the road with Smashing Pumpkins: "I thought it would be fun to introduce wrestling to a crowd that doesn't like wrestling. But if they're given wrestling in a certain way, they might like it. Let's call it the alternative version of wrestling - it engages the alternative mind in a way that they wouldn't think if they watched the normal products. It's not a financial opportunity. I probably have to go out of pocket to make it work, but I love it as an exercise in putting your money where your mouth is. 'Hey, let me share this other thing I'm doing with you.' And the cost of entry is really low, which I think works for a lot of people. You can watch it, you can not watch it. It doesn't necessarily impact your day."

Dax Harwood says the FTR podcast is coming to an end: "I want to apologize not only to my fans, I want to apologize to the people who already didn't like me. Fans of, for example, the Young Bucks, fans of Kenny Omega, fans of MJF or anybody else who I may have upset. I want to apologize to them because I never wanted you to hate me so much that you would say some of the things you said to me. Going into this podcast, I never thought that would happen. I hate that it happened. I thought I was way more mentally tough than I am. I admit that I'm not. I don't think that I can handle some of the things that are said. I also don't know if I want my daughter, ten years from now, to read some of the things that are said about me. Ultimately, we all wanted to do good for wrestling, you and I. I don't think that this podcast, as much as we tried, as hard as we tried, I don't think the podcast was reflecting that. For whatever reason."

Alec Price talks about his WWE tryout: "I was extremely grateful for the opportunity that I got last year with the WWE tryout. It's just wild. You go there, and you always wanna go there and you always wanna be a WWE superstar, so when you go there for a tryout, hotel the first day and it's just not real to you until you actually step into the PC and you're like, 'Woah.' You know what I mean? You just see WWE everywhere and you see all of the professional stuff and you really look at what they do and how they're looking for wrestlers, but they're also looking for sports entertainers. I remember realizing the difference, people used to say all the time ‘WWE, it's bad that they call them sports entertainers.' I don't think it's bad. I get why they call them that now. They want elite level athletes that are able to branch outside of wrestling and if you really want to make it, you're gonna have to figure out a way to branch outside of wrestling and kind of be a multi media market."

Ric Flair is still defending his "last match" debacle: "One word: dehydration. It would have been phenomenal if I had kept hydrated. I was fixated on weighing a certain weight for the match. I didn't drink enough water. That was it."

Wardlow is the TNT Champion again after beating Powerhouse Hobbs on Dynamite last night. (AEW)

Abdullah the Butcher says he's dealing with hard times: "Well, at 82 years old, I sit in my room a lot of times and I say that I've worked for nothing. All of what I had worked for in the wrestling business by acting crazy, beating my head against the wall, doing this, doing that - I might not have nothing pretty soon. You got a lot of people who try to take what you worked all your life for. In my opinion, I've been ripped off so bad it's unbelievable, and (I'm) still getting ripped off."

Killer Kelly missed the Impact tapings due to a burst cyst. Yikes! Glad she's doing better now though.

Konosuke Takeshita saved The Elite from a Blackpool Combat Club beating on Dynamite last night. (AEW)
