The live recap starts now; hit Refresh or F5 for the latest results. You can also join us in the AngryMarks chat room to talk to other people about the show, The DRUNKCAST or whatever else is on your mind.

The shows starts out with highlights from the Extreme Rules PPV, mainly CM Punk cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase contract to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. After the video package is over, Justin Roberts welcome the new champion. CM Punk comes out the a mixture of boos and cheers from the crowd.

CM Punk promo

Punk: "I wanted to clear a few things. Ever since I cashed in the Money-In-The-Bank briefcase, I heard some grumblings that say I stole the World Heavyweight Championship from Jeff Hardy. I'm sorry I don't see it that way. Last year when I did that to Edge, nobody saw it that way. I can't take back what I did, nor do I want to. I am your World Heavyweight Champion for the second time. I earned the right when I put my body on the line at WrestleMania. So last night I saw an opportunity so I capitalized. That doesn't make me a bad guy. Now obviously it wasn't the most popular decision in the world, but I've never done anything just to be popular, just what's best for me. Now this title right here is the entire reason I'm a WWE Superstar. This means the world to me. I promise to bring respect, honor and integrity the World Heavyweight Championship. I will represent the WWE and the SmackDown brand as champion to the best of my ability." Jeff Hardy music interrupts Punk but he still finishes his statement. Hardy comes out to confront CM Punk to a chorus of cheers from his adoring fans. He cautiously gets into ring, still selling his soreness from the ladder match. Before Jeff can talk, there's a huge "HAR-DY! HAR-DY" chant from the crowd.

Hardy: "Look, I didn't come out here to complain about what you did, not my style. You think you earned it? I don't agree. You guys think he earned it? Look, you won MITB, sure, you get to cash it in whenever you want to. But I'm telling you Punk, you cashed in on the wrong guy." Punk: "Okay, you're angry. I'd be an iddiot to come out here and think you weren't gonna be upset. Look at where I'm coming from. Jeff, I didn't put you in a ladder match; you did. You chose a ladder match at Extreme Rules. The moment you did that, a lightbulb went in my head and I said that's my night. It didn't matter who won; it just happened to be you. Dem's the breaks man." Hardy: "I don't care about your reason, but you know what I sense? Selfishness. Do you care about your fans? Listen..." Loud Hardy chant starts up again. "Look Punk, I don't walk the same path as you and I never will. I want my rematch and I want it TONIGHT!" Here comes the OTHER FORMER champion, Edge!

Edge: "No no no, you want YOUR rematch tonight? I don't think so. If anyone is getting a rematch tonight, it's ME." Hardy: "What? Edge, I beat YOU. I won that ladder match. And why you out here, this is about me and Punk!" Punk: "He has a point Edge. I didn't beat you; I beat him, so why don't you beat it." Edge: "Both of you combined have not been champ more times than me - FACT! He had the shortest championship reign in the history of this company. At least he has originality, he's his own man. Punk, I've been watching you, who you're trying to emulate and I figured it out. You wanna be me, you do. You call this unique lifestyle Straight Edge - hello? You named it after me! You cashed in your briefcase successfully twice, just like me. You never have been and you never will be ME. And here's another news flash, Jeff, you want a title shot you gotta get behind me cause if anyone gets another title shot it's me. Get it? Got it? Good!" Hardy: "Yeah, not gonna happen cause you're both full of --" and with that Jeff hits Edge in the head with the mic, kicks Punk to set him up for the Twist of Fate and hits the Swanton! Jeff gets up holding his leg, then SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long comes out. He says CM Punk will defend his title belt on Raw at The 3-for-All against the winner of a #1 Contender's Match between Edge and Jeff Hardy tonight. Breaktime.

After the break, Teddy Long finds the new IC Champion is in his office. Jericho: "I would like to know why you are denying me of a World title shot? Have you forgotten who I am? This past Sunday, I unmasked Mysterio. On top of that, I became Intercontinental Champion for the unprecedented 9th time. I told you when I came I was gonna be the face of SmackDown, and I am, the same way on Raw. I'm dressed, I'm ready to compete, so what are you gonna do about it Teddy?" Teddy Long announces another match for tonight: Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk. Looks like we'll have another "World Champion vs. IC Champion" match for the second week in a row, this time both champs are different.

* Dolph Ziggler vs. The Great Khali (w/ Ranjin Singh)

I thought this feud was over last week when Khali finally got the win. Bell rings and Dolph slips out the ring to build heat. He slides back in and gets clotheslined, so he slides back out. He wasted a few seconds on the apron so Khali pulls him back in. BIG CHOP to the chest. Khali lifts Ziggler up and he pulls on Khali's arm. Low dropkick, a kick to the leg, then a chopblock takes the big man down. Ziggles puts a headlock on Khali but he muscles up and shoves him off. Ziggler takes a big boot to the face but avoids the Brain Chop. He goes out the ring and hides behind Ranjin Singh. Khali chases after him so Ziggler uses Singh as a shield. Then Ziggler slides in the ring once he gets closer to him to beat the ref's 10-count; Khali only made it to the apron. WINNER by count-out: Dolph Ziggler. Commercial break including a reminder that this Monday Night Raw will be a 3-hour special called "The 3-for-All" and three heavyweight titles will be on the line.

* Layla & Michelle McCool (w/ Alicia Fox) vs. Eve Torres & Melina {Women's Champion}

Layla and Eve will start the match for their respective teams. Layla throws Eve down first but runs into an elbow in the corner. Eve hits a dropkick for 1. Layla counters Eve in the corner then tags in McCool, who comes in with knees tot he midsection. Headlock applied and Eve gets a jawbreaker to get out. Melina tagged in and kicks McCool in the guts. Melina gets a tilt-a-whirl back kick on McCool for 2, gets her crab kick blocked but she flips out and pulls down McCool by the hair. Layla stops the count, Eve takes her down, and as Melina goes for her finisher Alicia Fox distracts her. Michelle takes advantage and counters her into the Facebreaker for the win. WINNERS: Michelle McCool & Layla.  After the break we get another WWE Fact: "Did You Know" more women watched SmackDown last week more than any show on Oxygen, CW or the Lifetime Network? Yeah... great... who cares?? What we SHOULD care about though is the tag team match starting now.

* Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas vs. John Morrison & R-Truth

R-Truth: "Biloxi, Mississippi... WHAT'S UP? (What's up!) The World's Greatest Tag Team, back together again. That's about like Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer teaming up together to do a rap song. Nobody wants to hear them, and nobody wants to see you. That's the truth, the whole truth, and NOTHIN' BUT THE.. (Truth!)" Morrison and Benjamin continue their rivalry and start the match. Haas sneaks in to take a cheap shot Morrison, and Benjamin capitalizes. Morrison strikes back and gets an around-the-world Russian legsweep (this guy's athletic moveset is amazing!) and hits a breakdancing legdrop. Truth gets tagged in and misses an Axe Kick while J.R. and Todd Grisham recite lines from Truth's theme song. Truth kicks Shelton, goes up top, and kicks Haas off the apron when he comes to distract him. Shelton leaps to the top rope to take Truth down with a quick suplex before a commercial break.

Back from break, Shelton applied a headlock to Truth, hits a Samoan drop then tags in Haas. J.R. informs us that Haas and Benjamin are NOT reuniting nor do they plan too. (Then how do you explain them constantly teaming up for tag matches?!) Haas takes control of the match and applies a headlock of his own. Truth is back up but gets kicked, belly-to-belly suplexed, then covered for a near-fall. Truth playing face-in-peril but Haas takes him down yet again, trying to prevent him from making the tag. Truth split-ducks Haas, tries his might and eventually tags in Morrison. A springboard dropkick, a clothesline and a calf kick gets Morrison rolling. Morrison dropkicks Shelton off the apron then hits the Chuck Kick on Haas, goes to cover but Shelton breaks it up. Truth takes out Benjamin with a headscissors, Haas takes out Truth, and Morrison kicks him in the head. Morrison uses the Moonlight Drive as a set-up move, and the Starship Pain connects (even though only Morrison's knees hit Haas' torso) for the win! WINNERS: John Morrison & R-Truth. Commercial break.

* Chris Jericho {Intercontinental Champion} vs. CM Punk {World Heavyweight Champion} [non-title all around]

After the break, Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring holding Rey Mysterio's mask that he took away at Extreme Rules, as we replay Jericho ripping the mask off Mysterio's face. Jericho has a mic, and tells everybody that he is a man of his word and he's a success. He claims he did Mysterio a favor by unmasking him and that he set him free. He says Rey Mysterio should thank him like a man, but instead he ran away like a coward. He then turns his attention to CM Punk, saying he's going to beat him tonight. We shall see if he will because the World Champ is on his way out. The fans seem to be cheering more for Punk now than earlier in the evening. Bell rings and both men lock up, with Punk starting off with a headlock. Jericho reverses with a wristlock as the fans chant for CM Punk and shouts ASK HIM. Punk reverses Jericho back to a headlock position with a takeover. Punk flips out a suplex attempt, kicks Jericho and knocks him down into another headlock. This time Jericho flips out a suplex, tries for a Walls of Jericho, and ends up running into a Go To Sleep attempt but slips out. Commercial break.

Back now and Punk locks in a rope chicken wing, then hits a crossbody for 2. Jericho hangs him on the ropes then hits a springboard dropkick to knock him off the apron. Punk makes it back into the ring at the ref count of 4. Jericho puts a headlock on Punk and yells at the ref ASK HIM. Punk counters Jericho but walks into a drop toe hold and he goes into the turnbuckle, but moves as Jericho runs in. More kicks to Jericho, then the corner knee strike and bulldog connect and Punk gets a 2-count. Jericho ducks the springboard clothesline and connects with the Lionsault for 2. Punk walks into an elbow but then powerslams Jericho for 2. More kicks to Jericho's ribs but Jericho connects with the step-up enziguiri. Punk sends Jericho to the corner, tries for a GTS, Jericho holds onto the ropes, Punk kicks his hands off, then Jericho grabs Punk's foot and locks in the Walls of Jericho - EXCELLENT COUNTER~! Punk grabs the ropes to save himself, kicks Jericho who is perched on the top rope, then brings him down with a superplex... but only gets a 2-count. Jericho ducks a spinning backfist and gets the Codebreaker! 1-2-NO, Punk got his foot on the ropes. Jericho runs into a kick to the head and is put to sleep with the GTS! WINNER: CM Punk. Another great match on SmackDown!

After a commercial break including a promo for the Macho Man DVD set, we go to a Raw Rebound, mainly focusing on Randy Orton taking out Batista, then Triple H returning to attack Randy Orton. This Monday night on Raw in the big 3-for-All, the WWE Championship match will be a Fatal 4-Way inviolving John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H and Big Show to determine a new WWE Champion. After all that, Jeff Hardy comes down for his match before another commercial break.

#1 Contender's Match for World Heavyweight title: Jeff Hardy vs. Edge

The WWE "Smack of the Night" is from this past Sunday's PPV when CM Punk cashed in his MITB contract to beat Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship just minutes after Hardy won it. Edge makes his way down to meet his opponent for the main event, and before these two men can begin the match CM Punk comes out to get a closer look at the future #1 contender for his title. As Punk heads over to the announcer's desk the bell rings and these men gotta be sore as they punch and kick each other. Jeff reverses Edge sending him hard to the corner then attacks Edge's back. Edge counters Jeff and takes control of the match. Jeff starts limping to a corner and Edge sees it so he kicks him in the leg. Edge charges towards Jeff in the corner and he hits the ringpost before the commercial break.

Back now and Jeff legdrops Edge's left arm then has an armbreaker submission applied and Edge is screaming in the middle of the ring. During the break, Jeff worked on Edge's arm after he went into the post. Edge boots Hardy in the face and takes a rest to regain his composure. Edge limps towards a downed Hardy, picks him up then sends him to the corner then stomps him on the ground. On commentary, CM Punk even admits is was an unpopular decision to take out Hardy to win the title but he was just taking an open opportunity. Jeff moves as Edge flies into the ropes. Jeff tries a suplex but his leg gives out, so Edge chopblocks it to take him down. Punk says he would like to face Jeff next week on Raw as Edge has a leglock on him. Back up Hardy takes Edge down with a wrap-around clothesline. Edge kicks him in the leg, Jeff tries to go up top, but Edge stops him before ANOTHER commercial break.

Edge wraps Hardy's leg around the ringpost when we come back, then sends him back in the ring to pin him but can't get a victory. So instead he tries to wear him down and make him submit with a leglock, but Jeff will not give up. Edge gets up to try another hold but Jeff kicks him off. Edge comes off the top rope but Jeff stops him with a kick and DDT. Double clothesline and both men are down, so the ref starts a standing 10-count. Both men get back up, Jeff hits a Russian legsweep and floats over into a leg-hook cover. Hardy slams Edge, strips off his shirt, and his legdrop from the second rope connects but he only gets a 2-count. Edge counters Jeff's legdrop, then locks in a modified Sharpshooter. Hardy reaches the bottom rope, tries a sunset flip, gets a 2-count, gets the Twist of Fate countered, avoids the spear, then rolls Edge up for 2. Twist of Fate! He goes up for the Swanton but Edge rolls out, so Jeff flies off the apron. Edge recovers and throws Hardy into Punk at ringside. Punk runs in the ring and attacks Edge as the ref calls for the bell. Hardy gets in and mauls Punk for ruining his opportunity. Edge goes after Hardy, tries for an Edgecution but gets another Twist of Fate instead. Hardy turns around and Punk hits him with the GTS! He stands with his title as both of his potential contenders are down. WINNER: no contest.

Back in Teddy Long's office, we see him and Tiffany watching the main event on TV. Tiffany announces Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian for the ECW Championship, while Long announces CM Punk defending his title against Hardy AND Edge in a Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship on next Monday's Raw 3-for-All. (So there will be a one-on-one match for the ECW title, a 3-way for the World title, and a 4-way for the WWE title.) CM Punk raises his championship as SmackDown goes off the air.
