"The entire world is watchin'!" Thanks J.R. Cue the Adelita's Way theme music, it's time for another edition of WWE Superstars!

* John Morrison v. David Hart Smith

Jim Ross reminds us that Morrison faces CM Punk tomorrow night on Smackdown, and asks Todd Grisham how he feels about broadcasting from Canada tonight. "It's not as cold as I thought it would be." Ross puts over the Canadian credentials of DH Smith and his valet Natalya Neidhart. Grisham: "This has got to be the biggest ovation Smith has ever received!" I'd have to agree - he got a great pop coming out. Smith overpowered Morrison on the first test of strength, trades arm wringers with Morrison, then takes him over and works on the left arm. Ross points out this is a future WrestleMania main event in the making. I'd love to believe that but I'm afraid I'll still be watching Hunter, Orton and Cena ten years from now. Morrison finally starts to make a comebak with elbows, kicks and armdrags which draws boos from the Canadian fans. Thank God that Ross has more class than Lawler - I haven't heard a single "Bizarro World" reference yet. In fact J.R. is prone to say "very passionate" whenever fans pop for a hometown wrestler, even if he's the heel. Morrison hits a dropkick that sends Smith out to the floor. Natalya comes over to block him from making a suicide dive off the top and we go to break.

Morrison goes for a high crossbody when we come back but Smith catches him in mid-air and levels him with an elbow for a near fall. Natalya looks on, quite pleased with her fellow Hart Dynasty member's efforts. Good ol' J.R. breaks out the "tougher than a wafflehouse steak" line for Smith. Superplex off the top rope by Smith leaves both men laid out. Smith recovers first and makes a cover for a near fall. We get the "boo" and "YAY" from the crowd as both men trade blows. Morrison hits the standing moonsault for two after a pele kick. Smith tries to bridge a pin unsuccessfully. Snap slam for two as well. Smith rolls out of the way on a legdrop. Morrison charges in, but Smith nearly schoolboys him. Morrison lays Smith out and goes top rope but Smith drags him out. Overhead suplex, Morrison lands on his feet, flying kick lays Smith out a second time. STARSHIP PAIN after Morrison drags him to the corner gets three. WINNER: JOHN MORRISON. We go to an "Ask the Divas" segment - great excuse to grab a beer.

* Goldust the FREAK v. Sheamus the Pale Celtic Warrior

Dustin comes out in full regalia, looking to shatter some dreams. We get a replay of their previous encounter on ECW 9 days ago. In case you don't remember, Sheamus beat him up and got the pin, started to cut a promo on him afterwards, and Goldie pearl harbored him from behind and sent him packing. You know, these are exactly the kind of mid-card feuds WWE needs today. We need something we can care about other than the main event scene - two good wrestlers looking to get the better of one another. These two big boys spend the first minute tonight trying to outmuscle each other, which eventually Sheamus gets the better of, throwing Goldie into the corner for elbows to the back. Goldie turns the tables and lays in with chops and stomps to the approval of the crowd. Sheamus is whipped to the ropes and decides to slide out underneath. He heads to the barricade and jumps over. Josh Mathews: "Will this match continue? We'll find out next."

Sheamus is back in control when we return from the break, trying to grind Goldust down in the center of the ring. Big knee to the gut, whip into the turnbuckle, and a hard Irish hammer to the chest for a near fall. Sheamus continues the beating, Goldie gets a boot up to block and starts to ascend the ropes, and Sheamus shoves him off all the way to the floor. Goldie lays there selling his gut as the ref starts a ten count, then Sheamus goes out to drop him on the barricade and make it worse. He's got a cocky, arrogant smile on his face as he throws The Golden One back in for a near fall. Vice grip neck choke and Sheamus asks the ref to find out if Goldie is through. Goldust is kicking his legs and arms trying to get out and the crowd pops for him fighting back to his feet. Goldie starts rolling but a big splash is blocked when Sheamus gets both knees up. Sheamus covers, Goldie kicks out. Big GOLDUST chant from the beautiful fans of Canada. Crisscross bulldog by Goldust, followed by a series of rights and clotheslines. Dustin's facepaint is coming off. Drop down punch. Clothesline in the corner. Is it time to shatter some dreams? Dustin pops the hips on a snap slam for two. He goes to the second rope, Sheamus tries to sweep the leg and fails, but then rolls through on a crossbody for a near fall. Double knockdown on boots and the crowd counts along with the ref. Goldie recovers first and gets a quick inside cradle for three! WINNER: GOLDUST. The crowd loves it, Sheamus hates it, and I'm once again happy I watched WWE Superstars. Amazing how good WWE can be when they let the wrestlers, oh I mean "contracted talent" do what they do best - WRESTLE. Kofi & Mickekie v. Carlito & Rosa is our main event later tonight, but first these commercials promoting DX at SummerFest.

We get a profile package putting over Kane as a monster when we come back, then go to Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler at the announce booth. They throw us to a Raw Rebound focused on Cena and Orton.

* Kofi Kingston & Mickie James v. Carlito Colon & Rosa Mendes

The babyfaces come out first and we go to commercial break after they're introduced. After the break we have a spat slash cluster in the ring with all four stars before the ref regains control and puts Carlito against Kofi in the center of the ring.

Now is as good a time as any for our WWE Superstars trivia question, so here we go. The comments link can be found at the top of the page if you're not sure where it is. The first three correct answers with a valid e-mail address win a prize courtesy of WWE Superstars and WGN America! So, if you're ready, answer the following question - who did John Morrison defeat in the opening match of WWE Superstars on August 13th? Post your answers in the comments section now.

Back in the ring, the girls have tagged in, and Rosa is laying a beating on Mickie. She finally escapes and tags out to Kofi, who is a house of fire and hits the BO! BO! BO! double leg drop on Carlito for a near fall. Kofi tries to go top rope, Rosa interferes on the outside, Carlito climbs the ropes to brawl with Kofi but gets shoved off, and Kofi hits a flying crossbody for two. The girls run in and get into a brawl, rolling out to the floor. Kofi misses Carlito in the corner and crotches himself, hanging on the ropes. Carlito yanks him off with a backcracker for three. WINNERS: CARLITO & ROSA. Thanks for reading tonight's WWE Superstars recap and participating in our giveaway contest. We'll see you next week!
