And NOW... it's TIME! For the UFC, Ultimate Fight Night... LIVE!

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida is jumpin' tonight. Mike Goldberg makes the introductions as we pan the crowd and welcomes us to the show, noting that lightweights continue to be prominently featured in the Octagon. Tonight a step towards supremacy at 155 will be established in a fight between Spencer 'King' Fisher and Sam Stout. Goldberg tosses us to Rogan, who notes that Fisher took their last fight on short notice and dropped 20 pounds to make weight, so he may not have been ready for the match. Rogan gives him props for being able to dehydrate so much and still get in there and bang, but I don't think that's the kind of message you want to be sending with so many dehyrdration issues in recent years. We're also featuring Jon Fitch in the Octagon tonight against Roan Carneiro, who Rogan puts over as a Pan-American champion, but Goldberg says a win tonight may be the most definitive in Fitch's career. Goldberg says we're set to go and throws to a commercial break with a preview of Drew McFedries versus Jordan Radev. We'll be right back!

Welcome back to the Hard Rock Seminole. We're backstage with Jon Fitch being taped up for his fight. Spencer 'King' Fisher is sporting some wicked 1970's style sideburns as he relaxes and prepares for his main event bought. It's time for McFedries versus Radev. Goldberg puts over McFedries as a sparring partner in Militech who everybody is afraid to spar with. McFedries on Radev: "I hate wrestlers. I really like to pick people apart and hurt 'em, bang 'em, then go for the knockout." Radev: "I did not come 11 thousand miles to lose." McFedries: "I want him to panic, I want to make him scared. Everybody knows I'm looking for a first round knock out. I want to finish it, end it, and go home smiling." This fight is brought to us by vitaminwater. What the fuck is vitaminwater? I have no idea. Goldberg reminds us of the 10 point must scoring system and shows us the rules of the Octagon. And now it's time for Bruce Buffer to make the introductions. He says "Hard Rock Resort" like there are 20 Z's in the word.

* Jordan Radev v. Drew McFedries

Radev is 16-1 in his career and stands 5'7". McFedries is 5-2 and stands 6 foot even. The referee in charge is Jorge Alonso. Out goes the UFC Octagon Girl and it's time to fight. "Bring it on!" The two touch gloves and circle. McFedries jumps right in throwing hammers. Spinning kick keeps Radev alert. A big right knocks Radev down! It's all over! MCFEDRIES WINS BY KO. McFedries is screaming with joy. "WHAT!!! YEAH!!!! YEAHHH!!!" Goldberg: "That would be why nobody wants to spar with McFedries." Replay shows McFedries already had him out with the uppercut before throwing three unanswered rights on the ground, forcing the ref to stop the fight. Before we can get the official announcement UFC and Spike take a commercial break.

Why they have to take a commercial break when a decision is so obvious I'll never understand. A unanimous or a split decision, sure, create some drama by making us wait to hear the results, but not when it's this f'n obvious. Here's the official announcement - stoppage is 33 seconds of the first round via knocout for the winner McFedries. Rogan to interview him. McFedries: "Yeah I don't know what else to say. I'm so blessed to be here. I don't think people know my struggle, but everybody has one and I'm here, we're all here, so let's party dude!" YEAH~! "I was real worried he was going to shoot so I was trying to be lazy, but I found that inside hook and threw it to him. I wasn't going to stop. I got hands that are just hard, I don't know how else to explain him. I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate the fans, the sport, packing the place, getting crazy and wild, we want that {shit}, we wanna have fun!" Shame they bleeped out the best of that promo. UFC shows the replay again and it gets more devestating every time. Time for a UFC 72 promo and another commercial break.

Well at least with that commercial break we know what vitaminwater is now - it's what 50 Cent drinks when he's going to conduct an orchestra performing renditions of his hip-hop hits. As we come back a TNA Impact promo airs putting over Christian Cage facing a "mystery opponent" for the last spot in King of the Mountain. Now it's time for Chad Reiner versus Anthony Johnson in a welterweight bout. Johnson is a short notice call up but Goldberg puts over his conditioning and talent. "I'm not here to be a pushover. I'm nobody's bitch." YEAH~! He's undefeated in three fights so tonight would make his fourth. "Chad when I spank your ass and send you back home crying to momma, don't say you got your ass whooped by a black man." Ladies and gentlemen we have a new Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson in training! Reiner: "I'm gonna knock him out for my fans." Reiner is 25, Johnson 23. Reiner is 5'11", Johnson is 6'2". Weights of 171 and 170 respectively. Johnson hails from Los Angeles, California. Reiner is 13-2 and hails from Omaha, Nebraska. Referee in charge is Troy Waugh.

* Anthony Johnson v. Chad Reiner

"Are you ready? Fighter are you ready? FIGHT!" Reiner tries to back him up but Johnson rocks him with lefts and rights AND IT'S ALL OVER IN UNDER 15 SECONDS, JOHNSON GETS THE SECOND KO WIN OF THE NIGHT! HOLY SHIT! Chad got Johnson with a hook early and it woke Johnson up, who rang his bell with a left hook, tapped him on the head and threw a right with might followed by a left of death. They're not even bothering with the commercial this time. Official decision 13 seconds of the first round for Anthony Johnson. What a performance! His new nickname is Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson and he earned it. We move to a promo for Ultimate Fighter 5 and a commercial break.

We're back at the Hard Rock, live in Hollywood. Roan Carneiro says Fitch is mistaken if he thinks he's going to win easy. Translator: "Fitch wants the belt, but I also want it, so he's going to have to pass through me first." Fitch: "I'm going to put it to Roan and see what kind of heart he has, and if he has a big one I'm going to take it." Goldberg reminds us at 5-0 in the UFC, Fitch is a guy who's ready to start stepping up to the big time, and a win tonight would propel him there. Fighters are pretty damn even stat wise as Bruce Buffer gives us official introductions. Carneiro is 11-5 overall, 5'9", 170.5 pounds. Fitch is 18-2 overall, 6 foot even, 170.5 pounds.

* Jon Fitch v. Roan Carneiro

Fight's underway! Fitch comes out trying to spook Carneiro with rights. Fitch keeps him honest with an inside leg kick. Carneiro gets the takedown as Fitch charges in. Carneiro tries to stand up and throw a superman punch. Now Carneiro has a front headlock and Rogan notes he could get an anaconda choke from this position. Fitch is trying to sprawl but can't get away and needs to be careful to not get submitted. Carneiro is trying to slide up to his left bicep and tighten up the potential choke, but Fitch manages to escape and now he's on top. This is already longer than the first two fights combined. Carneiro gets to his feet which just gives Fitch the room to throw some knees and some lefts to the gut. Carneiro pushes him up against the fence, goes for double underhooks to get a takedown, but Fitch is blocking the takedown effectively. Carneiro gets spun around and now he's against the fence, he's looking a little gassed. Double underhooks again but he can't do anything with it. Fitch is throwing rights at the knee. Carneiro finally gets the takedown but Fitch closes the guard to keep him from passing. With only 45 seconds left if he can survive to R2 he might be in good shape, Carneiro is expending a lot of energy on takedowns and submission attempts. Carneiro is trying to get the same choke from the other side and trying to weaken Fitch with knees. It's all for naught as the round comes to an end. Carneiro wins the first round 10-9 on my card but the next two could easily go the other way.

Fitch snaps his neck back and forth Benoit style. Round two is underway! Carneiro tries to throw leather but it's ineffective. Fitch is much more effective with the right hand and a big left jab, gets Carneiro down to the ground, takes a dominant mount and starts the ground and pound. Carneiro rolls to escape and Fitch gets the back. Fitch is wailing away with fists and locks in the choke! IT'S ALL OVER! CARNEIRO TAPS OUT TO A REAR NAKED CHOKE! Carneiro was almost completely defenseless on the ground. Commercial and we'll be back with the official decision!

Bruce Buffer gives the official time as 1:07 of R2, tapout to the RNC, Jon Fitch is the winner. Here's Joe Rogan for the interview, calling Fitch the best kept secret. "For me it's the best victory, one of the best opponents I've ever faced. That choke in the first round was pretty tight, I had tweety birds for a second." Rogan asks about the Mickey's replay: "I doubled up on the jab and that set up the whole exchange, I hit him with a couple of good shots, his neck came up and I just finished it." A promo for Fisher v. Stout airs as we go to commercial.

A promo for Ultimate Finale on June 23rd at 9 PM airs. Unless somebody else does the recap for me there won't be one since I'll be doing live results from the Ring of Honor taping in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. Next up is Jason Black vs. Thiago Tavares. Tavares: "I go submit him choke. How he think he win this fight?" How me think you english to speak? I'm sorry, I don't mean to mock, but please use a translator like all the other Brazilian fighters do if you're not fluent in the language. Buffer with the introductions. Black is 22-2-1, 5'8", 155.5 pounds, fighting out of Bettendorf, IA. Tavares is 15-0, 5'7", 156 pounds, Florianopolis, Brazil is his home. Our referee is 'Big' John McCarthy.

* Jason Black v. Thiago Tavares

"Are you ready? Are you ready? LET'S GET IT ON!" Black gets side control very early when Tavares tried to shoot on him. Both men break and stand up. Tavares goes for the legs, Black starts to block, Tavares slips through and gets the mount. Black tries to buck him off but Tavares gets side control in the process. Black tries to lock in an arm triangle from underneath but he can't apply enough force in the half guard. Tavares gets the mount and Black rolls to escape. Tavares is rolling with him whenever he moves, gets the full mount, and Black eats a big elbow. Tavares mounts and throws elbows and Black again tries to roll to escape. Half guard and Black exposes his back. Tavares regains the mount, gets side control, Black tries to escape with an underhook but Tavares neutralizes. Tavares is starting to ground and pound effectively. Those lefts and rights to the body are incredibly loud. Black tries to roll yet again but Tavares stays on top, stands up halfway, and starts to rain down punches and elbows. Black's mouth is open and he's clearly hurt. Even his corner screams at him: "YOU'RE BREATHING JASON!" Tavares just hammers away as the round grounds to a close. We'll be back for R2 after these commercial messages!

Black is being worked over by the cornerman as we return and his face is nothing but hamburger with an eye swollen all the way shut. UFC ring girl leaves with her card and R2 is underway! "Let's get it on!" Tavares goes for a high kick to start. Black tries to back Tavares up with short jabs. Tavares easily dances away, throws a high kick and Black stuffs it. Instead Tavares picks him up for a Matt Hughes style body slam! Tavares takes his back but transitions to side control. Tavares is a machine, moving from position to position with ease, it's like watching someone put on an instructional BJJ clinic against an unwilling opponent. Black somehow escapes and grabs the arm for a kimura, but unfortunately he lets go of it. Tavares stays calm on the ground as Black goes for it a second time - he's positively Gracie-esque. Tavares gets double underhooks and looks to reverse and just that quick he locks on the triangle choke! BLACK TAPS OUT. That was an amazing performance - two rounds of pure BJJ that was some of the best MMA I've ever seen. Who said it all has to be strikes and knockouts, not me! Here's the official decision - 2:49 of R2, tapout to triangle choke, THIAGO TAVARES IS THE WINNER. Tavares: "I have one quick question - who's next!" You go Bill Goldberg. Tavares is speechless watching his triangle and Rogan is stymied. Tavares just laughs at the finish. Rogan: "You're happy huh?" He should be! We see Stout being given instructions backstage by John McCarthy as we go to commentary from Rogan and Goldberg about the main event. Piss break!

Back ... with MORE commentary from Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg. Now a recap of fights shown earlier brought to us by the action movie "Live Free or Die Hard." Yippie-kay-yay motherfucker! I have to say despite seeming somewhat underwhelming on paper going on, this UFC Fight Night has been just fine. Fitch lived up to his fight, Tavares showed why he's undefeated, and a couple of devestating knockouts are always fun to watch. We get another look backstage at Spencer 'King' Fisher warming up. Goldberg says the Octagon will be packed up and shipped off to Irleand tomorrow for this weekend's UFC 72. This is going to be one hell of a weird PPV party for me - I'm not used to hitting the beer, pizza, liquor and chips so hard at 2:00 PM Central (3:00 in the East, noon on the West coast) but that's what happens when you get the time difference between here and Europe. At least it's four days before my birthday, so I have a good excuse to start partying early. We go to ANOTHER commercial break with no fight. Couldn't they have thrown a dark match in here somewhere before the main event?

We're back again and Goldberg swears this is our FINAL look backstage. I hope so! The ring appears to be set up and ready so we get the final pre-match promos from Fisher and Stout. Stout: "He's gonna have it in the back of his mind that he already lost to me, so he'll be scared to lose again. I want no excuses when I beat him. I'm not even gonna leave it up to the judges." Fisher: "You can talk all you want, but we have to fight. It's not to avenge a loss, it's to get back on track, and Sam stands in my way. Never once did he hurt me in our last fight." Both men seem cocky confidant and ready to go, exactly as it should be. Rogan: "I think we're going to see the real Sam Stout tonight." We were watching a fake one before? Rogan: "Spencer's an excellent striker but he's also really well rounded." Sometimes Rogan says the most inane shit imaginable. McCarthy continues to give instructions to Fisher as he enters the ring. Sam Stout is already earning points in my book for his entrance music - "Guerilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine. He and his camp are all wearing Affliction shirts and all I can think of is Dr. Weird playing guitar on Aqua Teen Hunger Force: "I call this one, ROBOT AFFLICTION!!" I've heard that a lot of fighters are switching to Affliction clothes though and I have to admit the designs are pretty bad-ass. Here's the tale of the tape! Stout to Fisher: 23 to 31, 5'9" to 5'7", 155.5 to 154, 69" to 69.5" in reach. Fisher has 20 wins and only 3 losses. Stout has 12 wins, 2 losses, and one draw. Okay enough stats already, let's rock'n'roll!

* Sam 'Hands of Stone' Stout v. Spencer 'King' Fisher

"Are you ready? Are you ready? Let's get it on!" Stout comes out swinging and Fisher answers in kind. Fisher lands some big combos but Stout is holding up well. Fisher comes over the top but Stout isn't fazed... yet. Fisher lands another left hand and shoots for a leg to get the takedown. Stout escapes and turns him around against the cage. The two break apart. Fisher goes for a body kick and throws more bombs. Fisher looks like he wants to throw a Chuck Liddell looping knockout in the worst way, he may be overanxious. Fisher with a big knee. Stout remains well... stout. He's just not going down no matter what Fisher hits him with. Now Stout's trying to come back with kicks. A big exchange of blows by both men. Stout is finally starting to get a little bloody. Fisher keeps mixing it up with body kicks. Stout manages to bloody up Fisher's right eye. Fisher and Stout are going to turn this into Bonner v. Griffin 1 if they get the chance. 45 seconds to go and neither looks tired. They're dancing around. Stout with a body kick. Fisher misses with a huge right. Clinch and Stout breaks out of it with a big right. R1 comes to a close and Fisher seemed to rock him right at the last second. I can't wait for R2!

Fisher's bleeder seems to be under control as we come back for more action. They're immediately throwing bombs at each other again. Kicks and punches. Big right by Fisher misses again but he does land a knee. Stout is momentarily knocked off his feet but regains his posture quickly. Stout is throwing uppercuts that only hit air. Inside leg kick by Stout connects. Fisher keeps changing his stance, throwing jabs, lefts, leg kicks, mixing it up nicely. Superman punch, body shot. Fisher may win just on points for strikes if he doesn't accidentally get submitted. Fisher's bleeding again. Stout's corner wants him to take it to the ground but nothing doing. Stout eats a kick and a punch that back him almost all the way to the cage. Stout with another inside leg kick. Fisher with a side leg kick of his own. Kicks back and forth like Low-Ki and Danielson. Fisher misses with a rib breaking gut punch. Stout bobs and weaves and a short "U-S-A" chant breaks out. Fisher eats a knee and a right. Spencer hits a big left, grabs a leg, tries to get a takedown and nothing doing. Spencer goes for more strikes as the round comes to a close. Time for R3! I'm scoring it 10-9, 10-9 for Fisher. We listen in as Fisher's corner advises him to take it to the ground and finish Stout off. Stout's corner claims he's winning every exchange. Here we go!

Stour with kicks to start. Fisher with a big leg kick with a lot of snap. Fisher misses with a huge left hook. Fisher with another leg kick and a big left that rocks Stout and he wobbles a bit. Stout recovers quickly. Fisher is connecting with the left very effectively in this round. Stout swings wildly and misses. His hands are dropping down to his waist while Fisher is staying up and crisp. Fisher seems to have found the chink in Stout's armor. 150 seconds left to go and Stout is wobbled again. Fisher might be able to finish him off. Clinch and kicks. Stout swings wildly again. Nice body kick by Stout. Fisher is steadily backing up Stout. Big punch snaps his head like Mr. T in Rocky 3. Fisher is literally scoring at will now but Stout is gamely hanging in there. One minute to go and the crowd is on their feet. Fisher with a big knee just an inch away from connecting. Stout tries to come back with some leather. Another big left just inches away from a highlight reel knockout. Stout slips and falls on a kick and nearly leaves himself open to being finished. 10 seconds to go and we're going to get a unanimous 30-27 decision here for Fisher, I guaran-damn-tee it.

Bruce Buffer with the decision. 30-27, 30-27, 30-27. Called it! Spencer 'King' Fisher gets the clean sweep win. Here's Joe Rogan "Man you were on tonight." Fisher: "I think that should have been a draw. I'm happy to win, I have to thank God for putting me here, I have to dedicate that fight to my grandparents who raised me. He hit me just as hard as I hit him and just as much, and I'm sure there'll be a part three. I hope we do that again."

Here's what www.Sherdog.com has to say about the undercard fights not shown.

* Nate Mohr d. Luke Caudillo by unaninmous decision.
* Tamdem McCrory d. Pete Spratt at 2:04 of R2 via triangle choke.
* Forrest Petz f. Luigi Fioravantini via unaninmous decision in a fight hated by the live crowd.

Thanks for reading, good night everyone!
