For those AngryMarks readers looking for our regular RING OF HONOR DEE-VEE-DEEZ reviews we're switching up this weekend to review a lucha libre DVD, which will also be summarized in the next free It's Lucha~! podcast. I know that's absurd but if you'll forgive me I need a week off ROH after I spent over two hours writing part of the review and I lost it when the posting system logged me out.
Steve-O from the Jackass TV show is at it again! He's posted another message on his MySpace page about how WWE are upset with him for spoiling the surprise that he is coming in to work a match at Summerslam. Here's a portion of his remarks: "Too bad for them -- they're stuck plastering the television screen with commercial, starring only me (representing the entire cast of Jackass by myself ) and Umaga, promoting the Pay Per View event. As for 'almost shutting down the Jackass match', that's just hype to let everyone know we're coming (sic). As for the chokeouts, Ryan Dunn choked me out six times in one day. Umaga actually knows what he's doing, he's very capable of safely choking me out, and he's the current champion of the WWE, of course I was a complete nightmare for those people doing everything in and out of my power to get footage of Umaga choking me out, and then have him sign a release form, which I was packing on the bod." Some WWE fans continue to believe that Vince McMahon was actually killed in the limo explosion on Raw this past Monday. Some fans showed up to WWE Headquarters last night and held a candle light vigil. I guess David Wills would say of them, "It's still real to me damn it!" (PWI)
And for what it's worth TNA did a 1.08 rating last night according to www.PWTorch.com though I can't possibly fathom how that absurdity of a show managed to slip past a 1.0 in the ratings. The Ultimate Fighter episode immediately afterwards did a 1.3.
There's nothing absurd whatsoever about the passing of Sensational Sherri Martel. Our condolences to all of her family and friends.
