Phil 'The New York Bad Ass' Baroni is in hot water with the California State Athletic Commission. www.Sherdog.com reports that in testing for the June 23rd Strikeforce show Baroni had not one but TWO types of steroids in his body - Boldenone and Stanozolol. He's been given the mandatory $2,500 fine and suspended for one year. While he does have the right to appeal, when you're testing positive for MULTIPLE steroids you might as well throw in the towel and accept whatever fines and punishment you get.
Incidentally why does it seem like 2 out of 3 times the guy who tests positive after an MMA event is the guy who lost? I fail to see the benefit any fighter is getting from taking drugs or steroids at this point. The only recent fighter I can think of who tested positive and WON is Royce Gracie.
