Earlier in the day Linda McMahon was being promoted as appearing on the O'Reilly Factor tonight on Fox News at 8:00 PM EST, 7:00 CST. Since that time the word appears to be that Linda McMahon is in China right now and probably won't be live on the O'Reilly Factor tonight. Nevertheless Fox News has been promoting it as a "hard hitting interview" so either they will be re-airing an older interview or some sort of pre-taped segment. (411)

Bad news for WWE fans in Canada - this announcement from www.WWE.com is short and to the point: "Due to a scheduling conflict, the WWE show dates scheduled from July 14-17 for Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary and Edmonton have been cancelled. Ticket refunds can be obtained at the place of purchase." Fortunately there's also some good news for fans of Toronto's own Trish Stratus - the official website for Trish Stratus' new TV series "The Next Comedy Legend" can be found here. Unfortunately for U.S. fairs this only airs on CBC in Canada, so if you don't live somewhere along the border you'll have to search for torrents.

Smackdown has been in the wrestling news today in a lot of different ways. First comes the announcement that Merriam-Webster has added new words to their dictionary and in fact of the words is "Smackdown" which means "a contest in entertainment wrestling." Ironically despite this announcement the word doesn't appear in their online edition. (EDITOR'S NOTE: As of 9:00 CST this link now WORKS.) Speaking of places Smackdown won't appear, the following TV preemptions have been announced on www.PWInsider.com for July 13th:

* Philadelphia (WPSG): Sat. 7/14/07 8-10pm
* Rochester, NY (WHAM-DT): Fri. 7/13/07 10p-12am
* Wilkes-Barre, PA (WSWB): Fri. 7/13/07 10p-12am
* Harrisburg, PA (WLYH): Fri. 7/13/07 10p-12am

It appears that the unknown wrestler working Chuck Palumbo at yesterday's Smackdown tapings was in fact Luke Hawx from Wrestling Society X, who was getting a tryout with the company. No word yet on whether they liked him or if a developmental contract was offered. (PWI)

Last but not least WWE finally got around to opposing TNA's registration of the "VKM" trademark. WWE has until October 17th to make their claim on the mark. (PWI)
