Not a good day of news for the Smackdown crew! It starts with www.PWInsider.com reporting that the final SD rating was a 2.5 with a 4.9 share, down from the fast national rating of 2.7. If you're saying "could be a lot worse" then the news Ric Flair is going to be off TV for the next few weeks to deal with his ear injury and some family issues may paint you a more grim picture.
Even that though is not the depths of despair for Smackdown - their biggest problem goes straight to the top and their World Heavyweight Champion. According to www.WrestlingObserver.com Edge has a torn pectoral muscle, an injury he aggravated with a bad bump at last week's Smackdown tapings, and it's bad enough that he may have to drop the belt TONIGHT in a battle royal. The winner of that battle royal would go on to defend at The Great American Bash against Kane. We'll keep you posted as more news becomes available and results come in from tonight's Smackdown taping.
