Staff Bios - Emerson Witner

Emerson WitnerOn Thanksgiving Eve 1991, while the rest of the wrestling world was busy watching Undertaker pin Hulk Hogan, 7 year old Emerson Witner was busy watching...the 1990 Royal Rumble and from that moment he was hooked.

As a young man Emerson would watch wrestling, some boxing and the very early UFC tapes and realized that watching one of these shows would help him in real life fights. After slapping an ice pack to his face after yet another black eye, Emerson smartened up to the fact that the Irish Whip and the Crossface Chicken Wing just weren't very good real life fighting maneuvers.

It was then when Emerson began working at his quick wit and sense of humor, tools that have kept him from getting his ass kicked for the past 15 years.

Over 20 years Emerson would move from Girardville, Pennsylvania to Hazleton, Pennsylvania to his current destination of New Bedford, Massachusetts, but the one thing that would never go away was his love of wrestling.

While Emerson can sit back and enjoy a ***** classic, he prefers your zany, over the top, just plain stupid stuff, which has translated into a successful gig writing NXT reports for AngryMarks.com and F4WOnline.com. In fact one of Emerson's favorite matches is Al Snow & Head vs Too Much from King of the Ring 1998.

In his personal life Emerson is a seasoned tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and is a gay rights activist, working with the Seven Hills TWIST Program out of New Bedford and Fall River, Massachusetts.

Emerson is the proud Uncle of 2 boys and the brother to his regular comedic punching bag, Brian. In the world of real sports he is a fan of the long suffering Pittsburgh Pirates, the insufferably long suffering Buffalo Bills, the mid season choke artists the Dallas Stars and the Chicago Bulls, who once traded Elton Brand for the draft rights to Tyson Chandler.
