07/30/07: More on "Pacman" Jones Signing with TNA

{PWI} - Some more news this afternoon on TNA Wrestling signing suspended Tennessee Titans player Adam "Pacman" Jones to a contract. According to Mike Johnson with PWInsider.com, Jeff Jarrett himself helped to put this deal together and gain the approval of Titans' management. Some within TNA are upset that the story was leaked to the media, as this upended a press announcement that TNA was going to make on Tuesday morning.

Jones' attorney, Worrick Robinson, told The Tennesseean on Sunday night that Jones would be participating in a non-wrestling capacity, nor would be be portrayed as a villian. The deal is said to be a short-term project and would not take Jones away from football. The National Football League suspended Jones on April 10 due to multiple incidents away from football that has landed Jones in legal hot water and brought embarassment to the league.

It was only 30 seconds, but Stevie J was contacted by radio station Supertalk 99.7 FM WTN in Nashville, TN for confirmation on the breaking news that Adam "Pacman" Jones has been signed by TNA Wrestling. Take a listen here:
