On an action packed evening of UFC featuring an Ultimate Fight Night and the debut of Ultimate Fighter 6, we've already got live results from www.Sherdog.com on dark matches taking place at The Pearl in Las Vegas. Some of these matches may be seen on SpikeTV later time permitting.
Dustin Hazelett d. Jonathan Goulet via armbar submission at 1:14 of the first round. Sherdog reports that Goulet went for a takedown early but Hazelett worked his transitions on the ground beautifully.
Thiago Alves d. Kuniyoshi Hironaka at 4:04 of R2 via submission to strikes. Alves controlled the first round with kickboxing and nearly crushed Hironaka with a right 30 seconds before the bell. R2 was more of the same, with Alves crushing Hironaka's legs with kicks until he signalled Herb Dean he could take no more.
Gray Maynard d. Joe Veres just nine seconds into the opening round with a devestating leaping left hook that caught Veres on the chin. Let's hope this one makes the live show.
Cole Miller d. Leonard Garcia via three round unanimous decision. The judges scored it 29-28, 30-27 and 30-27. Garcia may have rocked Miller in the first round but with perseverance and conditioning he controlled the other two.
Luke Cummo d. Edilberto de Oliveira at 1:45 of R1. Cummo landed a right hand that sent Oliveira stumbling. A right hand followed by another forced Herb Dean to stop the fight.
