The Olympic medalist who couldn't be taken down by a broken freakin' neck has been sidelined with a stomach virus. That's right - Kurt Angle will not be able to attend the WrestleFanFest in San Francisco at the Cow Palace tomorrow. Bill Behrens of TNA sent this statement: "Kurt Angle regrets having to miss this promoted appearance and apologizes to the promoter and to the fans." He shouldn't apologize too much - keeping Kurt out of a rental car is probably a blessing to San Francisco's pedestrians.

Speaking of TNA, www.WrestlingObserver.com reports that last night's show scored a 1.0. After reading Mike Poulin's TNA Impact Recap I'm not surprised.

Good ol' J.R. has updated his blog again! He feels the "timing" is wrong for Booker T to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, Undertaker is still "the man" and proposes that Shawn Daivari leaving WWE may have been his own idea. You can read these and other words of wisdom here.

An AngryMarks reader in Europe sent us this note and 411 confirms it - Chris Masters was injured in a tag match where he teamed with Finlay against the Undertaker and Kane in Nottingham, UK. Masters was taken out by medics during the match and Finlay ended up continuing the match and losing by double chokeslam. Tip to Chris - lay off the testosterone and HGH. Injuries crop up real quick that way.

A TMZ tidbit - John Cena will apparently be a part of the new season of The Apprentice in a celebrity version of the show. Others rumored for the show are Tito Ortiz and Gene Simmons. To date WWE has not confirmed Cena's involvement, but it does make sense given The Apprentice is an NBC Show.

Thomas Urbanski will be holding a press conference tomorrow in Las Vegas to announce that he is filing a lawsuit against Adam 'Pacman' Jones and the NFL. Urbanski's lawyer is attempting to link the NFL's failure to discipline Jones prior to the incident as part of the cause of Urbanski's injuries, which were suffered when Jones threw money in the air at a Las Vegas strip club Urbanski worked at. This caused a melee between Jones and some of the dancers. Later in the evening, someone believed to be linked to Jones fired gunshots, some of which hit Urbanski and left him paralyzed for life. It doesn't sound like Jones will be working in TNA or the NFL when this comes down, and I can't complain in the least. That's all for this week's edition of Friday Night's Absurd News!
