In addition to a classy video package tribute to Fabulous Moolah on last night's Raw, WIS-TV's News 10 in Columbia, South Carolina ran a story on the passing of the Fabulous Moolah which featured Mae Young promising to wrestle when she is 100. "Vince [McMahon] promised that we could have a wrestling match on our 100th birthday. She won't make it, but I will make it for her." You can read more of the article here. The New York Times also had an article here. Whoopi Goldberg even mentioned the passing of the Fabulous Moolah yesterday on The View.

News coming out of Raw last night - former XPW and WSX star Kaos was the wrestler known as "Joey" who fought Snitsky on RAW. And as indicated at the end of the show, the December 10th edition of Raw will be another three hour show. (PWI) Also WWE has announced that the Great Khali vs. The Undertaker will headline Smackdown this week.

So far including last night's Raw the following matches have been announced for Survivor Series:

* Hornswaggle McMahon v. The Great Khali

* Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio & Kane v. Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Finlay & Big Daddy V (Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match)

* Batista {C} v. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell - World Heavyweight Champion)

* Randy Orton {C} v. Shawn Michaels (WWE Championship)

Even though this fits the "Absurd News" category it's too good to save until Friday - WWE is opposing two new trademark registrations. The first one is "Ward Wrestling Entertainment" while the other is "Triple H" which a Mexican company uses to sell fruits and vegetables in the U.S. (PWI) Time to play a fruity game!

Good and bad news for The Rock. The bad news is that Dwayne Johnson was scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on Saturday but that won't happen now due to the Writer's Guild strike that started this week. (PWI) The good news is that The Game Plan finished #6 at the box office this weekend, earning $3.8 million to raise its total gross to $81.9 million. You can read a box office report from 411 here.
