Late reports are that tonight's Batista vs. Undertaker match (Hell in a Cell) could go either way, but that it's unlikely Undertaker will lose twice in a row clean. WWE are discussing several ways the finish could go, including the possibility of Batista losing because of Edge or someone else interfering. (WO)

Ric Flair will probably not be back for tonight's show, but he is being advertised to return on Raw a week from Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina (better known as "Flair Country"). (411) Flair also gave an interview to The Sun about his return which you can read here.

Those who have seen the new WWE magazine with the Jericho cover (which we first reported here on 11/13) report that it has the following details about Jericho: the John Cena/Shawn Michaels one hour match from England made him love the business again, Jericho wants to work with Cena as well as HBK, Undertaker and MVP, Jericho went to Lance Storm's school to get back in shape and has also been working with a personal trainer, Mick Foley helped him with writing his new book, and that he plans to show off a new finisher and some other new moves on his return. The www.WWE.com "Power 25" has dropped Carlito from the list and took a little potshot at him in the process: "Off the P25. Not so cool, huh, Carlito? The Caribbean Bad Apple reaps the reward of being lazy to the core lately." If you had any doubt that he put in his notice or that they were burying him on his way out the door, there's your proof.

Good ol' J.R. has updated his blog again! In the latest edition he talks about how Santino has been a positive addition to Raw, how Chris Masters had a great future in WWE but made some "errors in judgment" and how the "ship has sailed" on any possibility of Warrior ever returning. You can read all of this and more here.

It's not a script for an Oliver Stone movie, but you may think it is when you read the following conspiracy. Little reported 'til now but recently revealed in the Wrestling Observer newsletter is the fact that Harry Smith was intentionally set up to publically fail the WWE wellness policy. Smith tested positive while he was still in developmental, but word was kept quiet until he was brought up to the main roster and pushed on TV for a couple of weeks (including his debut match from 10/22 that I saw live) so that when their new "public awareness policy" went into place on November 1st they could announce his failure and subsequent 30 day suspension as proof they are serious both about the policy and informing the public when wrestlers fail their drug tests. Not surprisingly all of this came shortly before the CNN "Death Grip" special, which can't really be interpreted as a coincidence at this point. Masters testing positive though and subsequently being released as a result probably was.

Last tidbit of news before Survivor Series - Smackdown did a 2.7 in the fast national ratings on Friday night. (PWI)
